Horrible - it's a big sales machine - horrible service, big hassle just to get scheduled. My neighbors said to use Roto Rooter - kicking myself for not doing that. They quote one price, charge a much higher one when at your house.

I have used them for electrical, plumbing, dishwasher replacement and furnace upkeep. They have always been respectful, knowledgeable and nice. They charge in the moderate range, but they do so to properly provide for their employees. They fully cover employee health care, offer bonuses and actually care about their employees and it shows. Worth every penny.

A few years ago, my 90 YO parents (in a nice part of WG) had a problem with a clogged main drain line. Hoffmann Brothers recommended a $10,000 -- or something similarly insane -- steam cured sleeve lining of their main drain line. (As is done to municipal pipes.) They got a second opinion and some random, but honest, plumber roto rootered them for $100.

Having been a ""Premier"" member of the company's subscription plan which guaranteed ""priority service"" when we called upon them to repair a water leak that flooded our kitchen over a four day absence we were told the earliest appointment would be three weeks out and we would have to pay an""emergency fee"" to obtain that appointment. After spending the night in a hotel because we had no water we contacted another company and received next-day service on an emergency basis. Don't trust Hoffmann!!

Hoffmann Brothers is more expensive but they make quality repairs. I have their service contract, and they always show up for their appointment time

This company is extremely overpriced. I would recommend getting several quotes on work prior to having them come out.

Called to have a heating igniter replaced. Told them this was the issue on the phone since I pulled it myself and noticed it was broken. Came out fixed it but it cost me $580!!! Before calling I found the part online it was a $75 part. When I called they quoted me $95 service fee they charged me $95 and $485 just for the part. The technician Just had to plug and screw it in. Crazy expensive, would not recommend. I feel like I got ....

Terrible. They gouge you for money and rarely actually fix anything. I've given them
Tens of thousands of dollars in installation and work and have been a protection plan member, and finally I've had enough. Just one week after having to pay for a service call during which nothing was fixed, they have the audacity to tell me they won't service one of the furnaces unless I pay more than I already do every month for their protection plan. This is after about a month ago someone came out to ""fix"" the heat, charged a service fee, diagnosed the problem, and then said they wouldn't fix it because they no longer work in attics. What? You installed the device six months ago and now won't service it because suddenly you don't do attics? Aren't you an hvac company? Biggest waste of money. Company should be ashamed of itself. Never again.

We used Hoffmann Brothers for several projects. A few years ago, they replaced our furnace upstairs, adjacent to our children's rooms. I had them come back out multiple times (which they charged me to do) because the brand new furnace was making very loud and weird clicking noises. I was told (again, after being charged) several times that there was nothing wrong. We lived with the awful sound for several years until I finally had someone else come out (Rothe - AMAZING) and he fixed it in 10 minutes with a part he found was under warranty. Will never use Hoffmann again.

I asked Hoffman Brothers to come repair my new Lennox system. The young man that showed up was as condesending and rude as he could be. Telling me the system was improperly installed and they wouldn't touch it or put there name on it. I asked him if they repaired HVAC systems and he responded yes. I asked then if he would repair what ever was wrong. Again very condsending he said they wont touch it or put there name on it. Well isn't that what you do is repair systems. Mine was new and needed some fine tuning as far as the install. well they refused. Im using Sam Lee so far they have been amazing. And they hd the nerve to share me for a call.
