Worked with Hill Mechanical to get my water heater replaced. The only negative thing about the experience was that after I called to book my appointment, I never received a confirmation email that my appointment was booked--just received an email the morning of that my technician was on his way. The technician, Trey, was extremely nice and professional. He finished the job in a timely--but not rushed--fashion and was sure to test that all of my faucets in each bathroom were properly working again once the new water heater was connected. I priced a few vendors and HM's price was competitive with the other vendors. Would definitely recommend!

I would strongly discourage anyone from using Hill Mechanical. I had a plumber come out a few weeks ago looking for a leak. He found nothing and there was no water anywhere to be found then I come home the next day to my home flooded. After a different plumber came out a couple days later he found that the line connected to my refrigerator was leaking and had been since the plumber from Hill Mechanical came out... when he checked the line originally & found """"no leak"""", he then pushed it back up against the wall too far and broke the line. When I told him what was going on he refused to accept any responsibility even though he's the only one who touched the line. I've called to speak with the owner Daniel Hill several times and have received no callback from him to this day. Now I'm looking at thousands of dollars of damage to my home caused by this company and they don't even have the decency to return my call and make it right.

HM plumbers did a great job installing a new water heater in my condo and taking the old one away. Colin was professional from the appointment setting and through the installation and gave us great tips for temperature settings and shower maintenance.

Had a problem of a toilet that wasn't flushing. After four days of doing everything that the maintenance expert at our building and not finding the problem, the administration called the plumber used by the management company. I was told a plumber would be at my home between 13:00 and 15:00 PM on thursday of Holy Week, Erik Mitchell arrived puntcually at my home, he found the problem and cleared it up in a matter of four hours. Terrific service, explained what he was doing and why. He was very professional and cleared up the problem.

I paid over $5,000.00 for a new HVAC unit in June. Since installed, it has never worked properly. A week after installation it stopped working all together. They came out fixed it only for it to break about a week later. The air conditioning finally start working. Fast forward to October, I go to use the heat FOR THE FIRST TIME and it does not work. After coming out about five times they finally say it is fixed. It doesn't seem to be working 100% and then another week later it stops working again. This is a very large expense for it to be breaking this much/

Stay away from these folks! Very untrustworthy. Inconsistent in their price quote. They come only to rip you off. They did me. They charged me $145 or so for a simple thermostat, which you can get online or at WalMart for $27 ! I had them come to the house to work on HVAC. One of my biggest mistakes. Only way I could feel better is to tell them how exactly I felt and then fire them. I told them to stay the hell out. Sammy

The management company for our condo HOA sent a plumber from Hill to see what I had a leak in my laundry room. After charging $175 for the visit and $200 for the emergency of it, the plumber cut two holes in the wall, saw the leak was not from the pipes buy from my washer, and left. He did not turn of the water so unbeknownst to us, the water was still filling into the """"leaking"""" and brand new washer. For $375, the plumber was in my home for less than 40 minutes, did not indicate where we could get our wall fixed, and did not turn off the water. I later checked around and discovered that this rate is WAY out of the norm for our area and not normal practice. Awful company. Do not use them ever.

I had an initial visit and paid about $600. Then, waited 6 weeks for a quote to install a new gas line. We scheduled appointment #1 but the tech did not call in advance and then knocked on my door while I was in a meeting then left. We rescheduled visit #2, but the team had not communicated the correct materials or work that would need to be done. Finally, we rescheduled visit #3. I was told field supervisor would meet me at my home to make a plan for the gasline and do the work at the same time. I confirmed I would receive a call 30 min in advance and they would start the work at 9, as I had to work, as well. At 8:50 I hadn't heard from anyone. I called the office and was told a different plan. I requested a refund at this time. The office staff and technicians have been very nice, but seems like the operations are really disorganized and I don't have confidence that they could install a gasline properly with all the confusion and delays. Really frustrating experience.

Hill Mechanical is a terrible plumbing company, I would not recommend them. I reported a sewage backup/small flood in my bathroom to my property manager and they called out Hill since it is their preferred vendor. Once the plumbers arrived I explained what happened and they told me they would have to take the toilet off to see what's going on beneath. Upon taking the toilet off they placed it down and cracked the base of it. When they called me over to show me what happened they said their was a small hairline crack and when they took it off the ground it cracked and broke, which was a lie because I took pictures of the flooding bathroom, the toilet and the base of it and so did the plumber before they did any work. I asked him to send me his picture he took before he did any work compiled that along with mine. The plumber was very flustered and said quickly that they were not paying for it because they did not do any damage. I immediately called management and spoke with Karen Hill who mentioned she was the co-owner, I informed her of the incident and told her I'd like to send her the pictures so she could see what was going on she said she would review them and call me back. I went back to consult with the plumbers who were trying to leave a broken toilet in the middle of my living room and asked them to please remove it and make sure everything in the bathroom is taken covered until we can get the toilet situation taken care of. The same plumber who got flustered and very defensive said he needed to leave to go downstairs to call the office ,he quickly came back and said that he could get me a basic toilet but it wouldn't be the same one I had which is a custom toilet that was a special order from Kohler. I told him that a quick Home Depot toilet would not replace the toilet that they broke and that I would have that conversation with management and he should have to worry about that because the basic toilet quick fix conversation we were having is over. I asked him again if they were going to remove the broken toilet they placed in the middle of my living room and he said he had to go downstairs first and would be back. The plumbers disappeared for 2 hours, I called property management looking for them and their office looking for them and not once did they return or call me to say when they would be back. When I finally left my house because I had to get to work I located them standing in front of their truck on their phone. As soon as I called the office to tell them I had left and they will need to come back after 5:30 when I return home from work they said he said he just missed you in passing her was on his way up to your unit as you were leaving. Hours went by, no call back from her and every time I called her to see if she had a chance to review my email she was too busy to talk, in a meeting, on the other line or stepped out for a minute. Finally an hour prior to closing I had called so much that they finally put her on the phone and her response was to talk to my property manager since she called them to come out, not once did she apologize for the inconvenience I had been through or state that they would rectify my situation. Also when asking for her email she gave me a generic service@hillmechanical.net as if a VP of a company doesn't have an email address. After hours of back and forth I was finally able to get them to have the plumbers come back out to my home after 5:30PM to pick up the broken toilet. What they failed to realize is that the remediation team was in my house the entire time and watched the entire situation unfold, they seen the plumbers break the toilet, they witnessed the plumber getting flustered and wanting to flee my home to rush downstairs to call management to explain the broken toilet situation and dance around a straight answer when I asked questions about what the cause of the sewage backup was. Thank goodness I have a second bathroom or I'd be toilet-less.

They came out diagnosed faulty valve. Sawed through pvc replaced valve. Total with diagnosis visit tops 3 hours. I had guesstimated the charge to be $500-600. Received the bill $1500+. WTF. Stay away. Bill wasn't itemized so no idea what was charged for what. It was a simple valve in pvc and parts were less than $20. Do not be raped by this company and avoid them like the plague. Would not use again if last plumber on the planet.
