Quick response - we called at around noon on a Saturday and the work was completed by 3:00. It wasn't a complex job, but I was very impressed with Mike's quality of work and his willingness to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it. I would 100% recommend using them.

Very responsive plumbing service. I called them after hours around 7pm. He asked me to locate the clean-out sewer line, which took me about an hour to locate, as we just purchased the home and weren't disclosed this info. Pro-tip: know where your clean-out line is prior to calling a plumber for any sewer issues. This will save you and them a lot of time.
Anyways, out of the 10 companies I called, they were the only ones to help me. Very professional and customer service oriented. I would highly recommend them and will be using them in the future.

Guess I should have got a second opinion. $1300.00 later and I don't even have hot water. $550. clear a drain and $750 to cut open my wall repair a broken pipe and then leave the hole and tell me oh we don't do drywall. Still never received receipt or copy of invoice.

I setup two separate appointments and he was a no show both times. He didn't text, call, or contact me in any way to let me know he couldn't make it.
It's frustrating when you take time off work and arrange child care for someone who isn't professional enough to keep their appointments or even communicate he won't make it.

Did a good job on piping for dishwasher. However he told me to go buy a new faucet which I did and he said he would install it for free. He kept adding charges to my bill for installing the faucet. Then he had to turn my water to the house off. He had a difficult time turning it off as a piece inside the water main to the house was defective. He took the part out and said he would come back to fix for 389.00. Never came back to fix it and didn't give me the part. In case of an emergency and I need to turn the water off to my house I can't because of the missing part. I've called several times with no return calls and he hasn't shown up. Beware!

H & M plumbing was the best company that I came across in my 19 years of managing my own properties in the Sacramento county area. Mike was very responsive, kind and very helpful. Any question that I had, he was very politely answered and explained. He is very knowledgable, kind and very hard worker. He came to check my water heater tank in my rental unit if it needed repair or replacement and gave me his honest opinion. He said that nothing that he saw was non working or leaking. The only little part that was off, was the pilot light that he right away lighted for me and didn't charge me any thing for his estimate when he came after hours, in a very short notice and still didn't ask for any evaluation/ diagnosis from me to pay. That was very generous and kind of him to offered and I'll always will take him for major repairs or replacement if I'll need in the future. Since it wasn't an emergency repair that I had to do, I decided to wait until I'll need the water heater to replace and will go with his professional opinion and ability to do it. He was very helpful in his suggesting how to handle it & gave me excellent advice of what to look for in case of a major issue. He is beyond just a professional plumber that really knows what he is doing. He is educator, very good listener and problem solver. He really made my day with his great advice and tips that he gave me of what to look for in my particular problem. I'll highly recommend him to any body I know that looking for honest, prompt and knowledgable plumber that will do the job right in the first time. I can't thank Mike enough for all the help he gave me and will definitely hire him in the future for all my plumbing's need. Thanks a lot Mike from the bottom of my heart for all your help & God bless you!

Two stars for the prompt appointment and free estimate, but H & M had the most disappointing customer service I have experienced this month and I do NOT recommend them for basic services such as garbage disposal or sink repair.

As for my experience with H & M,

Two gentlemen came out to our residence in EDH and took one minute to glance at our sink before spouting off huge numbers at my boyfriend. One of them took a flashlight and looked under the sink, and immediately the other said we needed to replace both the garbage disposal and faucet. I'd like to note they touched NOTHING, just glanced. In addition, he said we should get a bigger garbage disposal because it's obvious we like to cook (our kitchen is huge).

We already recieved estimates from other businesses, ranging from 300-399. $600 plus dollars was ridiculous and we politely declined their services.

Having a leaking sink and broken garbage disposal is stressful, and we did not appreciate the lack of care, empathy, or concern.

Now, we decided to go with P.J Plumbing and I ABSOLUTELY highly recommend this gentleman for all your plumbing needs. He was able to fit us into his schedule despite being booked until the end of the month, and checked out our garbage disposal the next day after H & M disappointed us.

After vacuuming the inside of the garbage disposal and cleaning it out, he was confident it did not need to be replaced and it was good as new! In addition, he said he would charge a flat fee of $120 for labor in our NEXT visit, since he said our faucet had a life time warranty and we could have a new one sent to us for free. He saved us hundreds of dollars and earned a lifetime customer.
