If you have lots of extra time to waste and money to spare,, these are your guys.This company is apparently used to milking jobs in Winchester and Melrose Highlands because the tech I experienced dragged out 2 minor repairs to 3 1/2 hours. It cost me $80 just for his trip from the office. VERY slow. Even after assessing he made multiple trips to van for parts instead of bringing everything in. Had to restart because he didn't listen to me when I clearly pointed out the location of the leak under sink. He replaced an unnecessary pipe section. Filled the sink 3 times to 'test'. He then spent another hour putting in a new bolt inside toilet tank. Every minute cost $3 so when I heard no sound for 15 minutes I went to check and he was on his phone. Job was done but I'm sure he was trying to wait the clock out to charge for another half hour segment.. When he said he wanted to flush a few more times (like filling and draining the sink to excess) I told him I would do it. Very anxiety producing for a senior on fixed income. When they were available on the next morning, it should have been a red flag because all others were weeks out on scheduling.

Hinchey Brothers Plumbing is Great! Sam did a boiler tune up in the beginning of January. Marlene the Office Manager contacted me the day before
my appointment and on the day of the appointment regarding Sam's arrival time.Sam maintained precautions wearing a mask. He was very professional/polite and on time. The tune up didn't take long.I have been using Hinchey Brothers for years! I highly recommend them!!!!

I'm very glad to have found Hinchey Brothers Plumbing, thanks to other positive yelp reviews. I've had them out for 2 projects now. One was a simple outdoor spigot replacement, and the other was a (semi emergency) bathroom remodel. With short notice, Mike came in 1st thing in the morning to remove a leaking toilet flange, the vanity, and capped the pipes. After the new tile floor was laid down, he came back right one time, and worked hard throughout the day to replace the toilet and flange, replace all the shut-offs in the bathroom, put the vanity back in, and even replace the main water shutoff with a new ball valve. THANK YOU MIKE for your hard work! And Thank you Hinchey Brothers for being able to come out and get my tenants bathroom back to them as fast as possible. As a new homeowner, I'm thrilled to know you're close by.

10/2018 update:
Bill at Hinchey just replaced 2 boilers and 2 hot water tanks in my house. His work was impeccable! Meticulous! I'm beyond impressed with the quality of the installation. Ken, the owner worked closely with me to ensure the project fell within the guidelines in order to receive the MA Save rebates. A+ experience once again.

I have used Hinchey Brothers for many years (15+) and my mother uses them as well. They do our plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and have replaced our water heater and furnace as well as kitchen and bathroom plumbing.. They are careful, responsive trustworthy and very easy to deal with. I also count on them for referrals to related vendors (such as chimney work.) They are totally reliable and I recommend them without reservation.

I've lived in my condo going on my third winter. I have yet to have all those mechanical gizmos down in the basement looked at, checked out or whatever you're supposed to do to them.

I have had nightmares about getting a bad contractor - let's face it - there are more than a few bad contractors out there. Ok so please don't crucify me here but I spent the money on a subscription to Angie's List and checked out plumbers/HVAC specialists. Came across these guys who had good reviews that were recent.

I called them about setting up an appointment for service and got a call back from a nice guy. We set up a time a few days later first thing in the morning.

Bill from Hinchey came out and looked at everything I needed done or wanted quotes on. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable and explained things well. He looked at all those gizmos and ran some tests. He gave me the lodown on my furnace - he needed some parts but didn't have them on his truck so he would have to come back on Monday. Since my water heater was out of warranty by a few years and didn't look all that healthy I decided to also have him come back to replace the water heater the same day. He actually suggested doing it the same day so he could bring an apprentice with him and have help carrying the water heater down into the basement without me paying for an extra guy to help him.

All in all they replaced the water heater with a larger model, they replaced several parts on my furnace after taking it apart and cleaning it and they were both here pretty much all day. The job was done neatly and they cleaned up after themselves.

The price was competitive...for good work and warranteed. I'm having them do more work so they'll be back.
