Jim Hilman is awesome. He was recommended by another plumber once I uttered the words ""tankless water heater"". He is very knowledgeable and will answer any question (legit or stupid)you have. I had a problematic outside tankless water heater break and he was able to explain why it broke (shouldn't be outside in this climate) and gave me options on how to replace. The install was done very clean and looks great in my garage. The man knows his stuff and I'll continue to use him for any other plumbing needs.

I feel so fortunate that the first plumber I contacted stood me up! If he had shown up, I would not have found Jim. Jim is nothing short of awesome. He's totally professional, very knowledgeable, and honest -- and he cares deeply about the quality of his work (which is excellent). Plus he communicates well, both with his customers and with insurance companies -- and he would never stand someone up. I will no longer call any other plumber. If Jim's busy, I'll wait.

After realizing that I had a frozen pipe at my house, I had the pleasure of speaking with Jim. Upon telling me about how backed up he was with appointments for the same problem, he proceeded to walk me through a few ideas to help possibly solve the problem. Unfortunately it did require an appointment, which Jim was exactly on time for, and found the issue after some digging. Jim also suggested some preventative measures, and was very thorough in his inspection. I honestly can't recommend Hilman's highly enough, competitive prices, prompt service, and Jim is just a flat out, super nice guy. I'll be using him for any plumbing work in the future, just a pleasurable experience all around.

I definitely will say I was very lucky to get Jim as our plumbing saver for this week. Our pipe had frozen over the valve which broke and he came out for us to get the issue fixed and was very helpful and had a great spirit! Very affordable and did an amazing job! Jim Hilman is hands down the best plumber I've ever worked with. He's incredibly communicative and excellent at his craft. We had a problematic toilet and Jim was able to come out the same week and not only fixed the problem we had, but also went out of his way to keep another problem from cropping up (lets just say frozen pipes in winter are nothing to joke around with - and neither is massive flooding). He went above and beyond the call of duty. And he's one of the nicest guys I've ever spoken to as well. If you have any sort of plumbing issue in the Lake Arrowhead area -- CALL HIM. He's the best of the best.

This is an opportunity that I didn't want to miss--sharing my experience of hiring the fabulous Jim Hilman to repair my Rinnai heater.

I'll spare you the long story that started with the diagnostic stage of the issue(s) leading up to present day, as it had to be seen to be believed.

I'll start by saying that Mr. Hilman is a master of his craft of the state of the art of all things Rinnai...it was enlightening for me to witness his deductive reasoning behind the need for various part replacements. He explained everything so professionally and thoroughly, giving me a clear understanding of how I was about to invest my repair costs without confusion.

When I tell you that (ultimately) my small scale eighteen year old Rinnai had met it's demise--even after it had been effectively rebuilt-- I'm still glad that Jim was willing to do all that he could to make work before I had to make the decision to replace the unit. I witnessed such patience from Jim throughout such an enigmatic series of error codes thrown by my old Rinnai ...we had to laugh to keep from letting it get the best of us at one point; it seemed like it took on a life of it's own...

Once the decision was made to replace it with a better and much more efficient sized Rinnai heater for the size of my home, Jim did the job perfectly! His labor costs were reasonable and the price of the replacement unit was more than fair market value...I'm sold on the Rinnai heater AND Jim Hilman! Both are state of the art...

I highly recommend Jim Hilman-- he is professional, honest, kind and truly a nice person to know...and his patience level is seemingly inexhaustible!!!

Jim has been so amazing! We have a vacation rental up in Lake Arrowhead and since we don't live there we are so happy that we have someone that is dependable and that we can trust. He is so detailed and we just really respect and like him so much!! We wished he worked down in Orange County so we could use him on our primary residence. We really really like him and his work!
