Don't use this company! They botched the work and had to come back many times, I had to hire a different plumber to get it right. They said I'd receive a permit for the hot water heater - it never arrived. I've called and left at least 5 messages with no return call. No one ever answers the phone. If you do use them, make sure you don't pay until everything is done correctly and your permit is in your hands.

I wish there was an option for zero stars and First American needs to drop them IMMEDIATELY. Sounds like a notice to the State's AG is in order given the amount of unresolved complaints. I'm too frustrated to even write the entire story out. Just know this is the worst decision you can make, they're not legit just because your home warranty company assigns them.

General Hills Plumbing and Felipe did a great job on my pluming repair. This was a First American Home Warranty claim. I am usually skeptical when it comes to vendors from Home Warranty Companies but Felipe exceeded my expectations! He was on time and always returned my texts and calls if I had any questions. He was flexible with scheduling and completed the job in a short amount of time. I appreciate this experience and hope to work with them again!

My hot water heater broke and they did a great job completing the job. The office is tough to get a hold of but the service technicians were efficient and hard working. I was very happy!

There is a reason this company is rated @ 2.7. Worst company ever. Owner Anthony was rude and would not listen to my questions or issues with the water heater replacement.
Do not use this company.

Hill's was assigned by my warranty American Home Shield to replace a garbage disposal that failed and blew out my kitchen electrical on the same breaker. The plumber took time to show me how the former disposal was installed improperly, not to code. This had been done by Rite-A-Way also under AHS warranty. But then Hill's did not install the new disposal to code and this cussed my dishwasher to stop draining. I am not an appliance expert so I didn't put it together. I paid a $75 copay for dishwasher repair but the technician couldn't do anything because he wasn't a plumber and couldn't touch my disposal. I had already called Hills twice to try to ask if it was possible they needed to complete the installation but never received a response. AHS also tried to contact Hill's and got no answer. I got pretty mad at AHS for requiring me to have figured this out, that the disposal is done wrong, while it's working fine, and call back in 30 days, but at the same time they have no guideline for their licensed plumbers to install a disposal to code and here it's been done twice! I submitted a complaint to the California Department of Insurance but really AHS needs a competent system with minimal code requirements to save on service calls.

They were dispatched to my house to repair my hot water heater through my home warranty. They came out and looked at my water heater and were there a total of 10 minutes and told me my gas valve needed to be replaced and that they would have to clear it with the home warranty and then order the part. My hot water heater is wrapped in so they started to cut off the wrapping to look for the label on the water heater. After cutting off the bottom section of the wrapping and not finding the label they cut off the top and found it. They took a picture of the label and said they would get the clearance to order the part. They started to put their stuff away and I asked them if they were going to put the wrapping back on the water heater and they said no they did not have any of the heat tape they needed. I went and bought the tape and did it myself. A couple of days later I still hadn't heard anything back so I tried calling them and left a message. They didn't call me back. I called them back multiple times and never got a call back. I called the home warranty and they could not get ahold of them either. About two weeks later I checked my home warranty account online and hill general plumbing closed out the work order saying they changed out the thermo coupler on my water heater and it was operational. I called the home warranty company and let them know that nothing had been done and they sent someone else out. The other company came out and said nothing had been replaced and all original parts were still on the water heater. After they diagnosed the problem they changed out the thermo coupler and my water heater is working fine. I knew hill general plumbing hadn't changed anything because I was standing right next to them the whole time. Stay away from hill general plumbing at all costs they are crooks, saying they replace parts when they don't and never answer their phone or call back. If your home warranty dispatches them to your house ask for a different contractor or you will regret it. The only reason they get one star is you can't give them 0 stars and leave a review.

0 stars. Rude and unprofessional. They came in ill prepared and have the audacity to schedule us at a later day when my need is an emergency. We are left living in an unsafe environment for days and i have to be calling First American to be assigned to a different contractor.
Btw, they have the audacity to shout at you and tell you that they were helping you. Uhhh no, thats your job and you're supposed to do your job.
Left our house worse than what they came in.
