If your AHS or home warranty contracts with this company do yourself a favor and reject it.
Completely unprofessional and unresponsive.
This is a scam business that collects $85 to do your diagnosis appointment, then figures out a way to try to charge you more than they have to.
They came out on a Tuesday and told us they would be back the same night. They late that night they called to apologize, but then they wouldn't set a firm follow up appointment. They referred me to their office, which has a full voicemail and nobody answering calls.
Just a pathetic business from every angle, trust me and avoid Hill's at all costs.

Super unprofessional company, unfortunately customer service is not a priority for many places of business as of late. These people charged me $425 to fix a broken piece of pvc on my water line, it was under a foot and took them about half an hour. I paid it because there was no water to the home, but talk about price gouging. The worst part was when I gave my credit card number over the phone the guy asked for my expiration after I had already given it to him, so I said ""I already gave you that."" His response was ""don't get an attitude with me."" Umm excuse me first off what professional company has employees that speak to customers like that? Second, I asked because it was a legitimate question, I wanted to make sure he hadn't entered it as part of the credit card number. Thumbs down all the way around.

Our water heater went out on a Saturday. Opened service request with first American home warranty the same day. Got a call from hills general the next day and were able to schedule appt for the next day. Alex and his team arrived Monday morning earlier than expected. Inspected the water heater and quickly figured that the burner is gone and he will need warranty company to order parts to fix it. He was able to get on a call with home warranty company the same day and luckily home warranty was willing to replace the water heater with a new unit. Water heater was ordered the same day and in less than 2 days water heater got installed. Had to pay some money out of pocket which is still a lot cheaper than paying the whole thing myself. Very satisfied with the work done by Alex and his team. Thank you. My kids can take a bath tonight just because of you. Much appreciated.

Avoid using their services at any cost, my home warranty dispatched them to fix my water heater, They reach out to me and told to send pic to order the a new unit, I had to wait 10 days, no call no show, yet after the 10 days after so many calls without any response, I got a phone number for one of the techs, who told we must come and diagnose in person, a tech came in and told need new unit and sayed ""I will call the warranty now to submit the diagnosis to get the approval within 24 hour"". 2 days later they submitted the diagnosis after an intense conversation, now it's 18 days since I requested the service and still no call no show

These guys were called in from America's home warranty. I called on the 31 of December. Anyway they were dispatched to come see me on the 5th of Jan from 1-3pm all this time during the 5 day's. Tried calligraphy every day but they set up a answer machine that I could not leave messages. The day they arrived they came an hour early. That would have been cool. But they should have called. Because I went shopping. Anyways get home and they are parked in my disabled Parking at my home. Closest to the main door. There was so many othe parking spots all over the street. I bit my tongue. I let them in and when they came in. There were 2 of them. I said i had a problem with the pipes being backed up. Showing them the problem I said here it is. I than say Im so glad I just got this warranty insurance. Because I didn't know anything about plumbing. . I can oml imagine the real cost if I didn't have the warranty.Si I went to watch TV. About a min later. I hear the fearless leader call out from the kitchen . . Hey guy hate to tell you that you have no clean out and the problem is grease. Your insurance does not cover that. They told me they need to use a special flex hose to make the bend aroused the pipes. Having no clean out that's what they do. I said BTW Im a retired carpenter. I was checking to see how honorable you guys were. Guess what you both flunked at being honest and truthful. Tell me is this the kind of stuff you do to old ladies and others who don't know sht! I wonder how much extra extra money you puffballs made year to date from dumb gullible Nieve clients. If anything I'm sure you both gave everybody great deals if when or if they paid cash!! Tell me how the hell you can tell me my pipes have grease. When you didn't do sht. Didn't even bend over to look good at the pipes. You. We're standing at the sink . . So unless there is something new that you used. Because I didn't see you take anything out look all you have is that note book. Is it a special note boo . All you guys did was look at the pipes.
Unless your glasses are x ray vision. How the hell can you tell me what that problem was. You goof balls didn't even stick a Camera down there. Not even a long piece of wire or stick or anything to show me evidence that it's grease. Worse part is that you have lied saying I don't have a clean out. Is that what you scumbags tell all your clients when they tell you i don't know anything about plumbing. Yes I purposely lied saying I'll let you guys tell me what's the problem your the pros. . I Dont know anything about the plumbing Trade. well guess what Both of you flunked at honesty and integrity. They sure did try to give me a double screw. Having to pay for special flex taking it down the pipes to clean or clear it plus extra charges for grease. Some times you gotta set the bait to catch the filthy slim and scumbags. I had a feeling these goof ball sacks were part of the swamp.
Hard part is that they froze and couldn't say anything to save there life. At this point I was laying into them. how the hell can you tell me I have grease without taking one look inside any of the pipes. BTW my insurance does cover grease it's Roots that are not covered. So do 2 guys milk all your clients like this. To me that is fraudulent and straight up fckd up. None of you are gonna be getting any of my milk MONEY. Btw get the hell out of my home. I was Super pissed at these cartoon monkeys. I wish I were younger. If I were I'd be licking someone's face as I whisper in there ear. Looks like your gonna need to tap. Otherwise people have been known to go to sleep. Just look what you made me do.
Still till this day no way to contain theses clowns. The 2 guys that were at my house one was a big boy and the other was the leader small we like me and he was definitely the driver of the bus. In my case he was the driveway of the big yellow van . Btw moneys always ask the end user . Where is the best place for us to park. No one takes the front parking unless your. Employee of the month. Or where there is a sign saying do not park! Reserved!
This is why they get zero stars.
This is my story that was more than a night mare. I double dog dare anyone to call this number if you have any Kind of plumbing problems and see this number.. 707-706-4465 keep looking. Don't bother unless you want drama and horrific might mares beyond believe. This is my story and I just can't believe it!! Crazy stuff
Pict is of my enclosed patio playroom sink that I added . Yes I used the clean out to tap my plumbing into it. . Backside Sally boys. You are terrible and shame shame shame. BTW if you monkeys ever read my post come on back here to my home and talk to me if you have any problems with my side of my story. Better yet call me first before you come over. That way I can be here.
Id love to show my video of how your telling me I have no clean out. You suck! I'm still pissed. Rat bastards

I wish I could leave no stars. Completely unprofessional company. Contracted
through the home warranty. Came out twice to
try and a leak in our bathroom. Left us with the leak for almost a week and caused a leak in the living room and just said to put a fan on it. No cares for the internal damage that occurred. Such a frustrating experience. I would never recommend this company to anyone and will be filing a complaint.

The plumbers were rude and unprofessional. Shared they would come back and they didn't so they were upset when I didn't trust them the second time when they said they would come back.

The people answering the phone weren't help either. Don't use this company at any cost.

I have a 6 month old- I asked them to wear masks and booties but they continued to remove their masks. No respect for the household.

Both of kitchen sink and bath sink leaked water, AHS dispatched the job order to Hills Plumbing. The same day I got the call to schedule a next-day appointment - faster than what I expected! Mario, the plumber, and his co-worker were very detailed and good at what they do. Knowledge and professional! They couldn't find the right snap-on hose for the bath sink (I ordered two f from Amazon, both didn't fit, gave up). They told me not to worry, and would find the hose. Called me today and brought the right hose, it fits and the leak issues are all gone now. I highly recommend Mario, his co-worker, and Hills Plumbing!

Hills General Plumbing Services was called through my home warranty service. I had a broken cartridge preventing my shower valve from being closed properly. It took 2 days for them to service my request which was faster than the other options available with my home warranty but probably not something you'd want in an emergency. The plumbers were professional, came on time, and were knowledgeable.

ZERO. This company is a scam. Save yourself the aggravation. But they got their $85 from me through the home insurance company (apparently they are good at that as I have read all the reviews below).

I won't go on too long because I was so frustrated by them (three unprofessional, unskilled guys showed up 2+ hours late). They had the audacity to expect me to trust them to saw into the paneled wood of my old craftsman home to create a pipe from the back of my sink (which wasn't needed, btw--they just didn't have the right tool) and when I refused to pay them $600 for the job they wanted to do that was not covered by the insurance they said they 'stormed' off in their truck. They are CON artists, plain and simple.

I concur with all the one star ratings below and would give them a zero too, if I could as others have stated. Perhaps some who gave them a good ratings on Yelp are in cahoots/friends. The comments about voicemail being full and comms was true for me too.

One only has to type in their address (160 Water st Bay Point, CA 94565) using a google map page and you'll see the boarded up garage (and other tell tale warning signs) in the picture of the home where they operate, which I would bet doesn't have a commercial license. You'll see the truck too which they 'stormed off' in.

I have alerted the insurance company that partnered with them and they are doing a 'contractor' review. These guys are not contractors, nor licensed or bonded (I would bet on this too). We'll see if the insurance company does this and, if not, I will find another insurance company and perhaps write my second ever negative review about a company (this is my first). I will also alert the state since the insurance company was recommended by them in my home purchase agreement contact. I will most certainly contact the Better Business Bureau about the con artists.

I wish I would have researched them first. My bad. I have better ways to spend my hard earned $85 and am so glad I did not let them do the work.

In retrospect the fact they left abruptly when they said they were going outside under the guise of calling the insurance company again was a blessing in disguise after reading these reviews.

Addendum: One week later Hill's General Plumbing put in an order for a valve installation (that wasn't needed) and it was approved to my account. They had said that the home insurance company would not cover it and I would have to pay them out of pocket to get my sink clog fixed. I did not approve the work (for obvious reasons stated above) and now their boarded up house at the address stated above has a free plumbing equipment on my dime (or $ quota I for the year).

After tracking down what sounded like an every-30-seconds-waterfall in our living room, we discovered the sump pump under the house malfunctioned and was spraying water up onto the underside of our subfloor. The drainage pipe had become disconnected from the pump.
I turned off the breaker that powered the pump, suited up, put on my headlamp and hopped into the soggy crawl-space with a couple of tools. I could barely move, there was about 14"" of clearance between the mud and the subfloor and I did not get far before retreating back to the surface, defeated.
That Tuesday morning I called American Home to see if the sump pump was covered by our policy, and it was. Tuesday around lunchtime, I got the call from Hill's General Plumbing to set an appointment, and settled for the first available slot, Thursday 11-1 arrival window. I advised dispatch, send a smaller person if possible, as it's pretty tight down there. A full-sized Daniel and Ciro arrived well within that window and after a short discussion, they decided Ciro would be the one to go in. Ciro quickly suited up, went in and with Daniel's assistance running back and forth to the truck for tools and supplies, had it fixed within 20 minutes. They gave me tips to leave the pump turned off for a few hours for the purple glue to dry and to check the drainage, as a clog could cause the drainage fitting to pop off again in the future.
