I do not generally give bad reviews for companies and always try to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, my experience with this company warranted a negative review.

This business was referred to us by our home warranty company. This business was almost an hour late for the initial evaluation and never showed up or even called for our first scheduled install date. I then had to call them to get a new install date on the calendar. Subsequently, on each of our two "" scheduled"" follow-up install dates they telephoned at or near their arrival time to say they did not even have our replacement parts. They also closed out the job at one point and reported it as finished, but had never returned following the initial evaluation date. They were very spotty with answering their phone and at times their voicemail was full. Additionally, they had a terrible track record for calling us back and following through with their promises.

The job was never done and after about a month of waiting, I cancelled the work order myself through our home warranty company. My overall experience with this company was very frustrating and I would not recommend them.

Got them through my home warranty. Came out and replaced a garbage disposal. The new one was faulty and leaking. Not their fault. I get it. But they could have replaced another one. They didnt. They said they cant get a new one. They asked me to call manufacture myself. I did. Manufacturer said i have to go through another 3rd party installer and i may have to pay for service. Another option manufacturer said was they could have sent out a brand new disposal free but i have to install myself. Which means Hills could have just replaced a new disposal for me but chose not to do it. Waste of time. Been 3 weeks, disposal still not working and now i have to wait on another installer.

Came out after getting paid for the work through my home owners insurance and never fixed the problem recommended a valve be change, but couldn't do the work. Then came back out and refused to do the work unless paid for it after already being paid for never fixing the problem in the first place. Highly dissatisfied

Worst service, I would never use them again. They were assigned by my home warranty company. They never answer the phone. They run you in circles and say ""we're busy"" and clearly don't want to deal with the real issue.
(note: my experience was similar to the other review from Sebastapol. When I finally spoke to a supervisor, he was a dick for no reason saying ""don't talk to my lady like that, find someone else, I'm going to block you. There is something very wrong with the ""supervisor"" and this entire company which sounds like it's run out of someone's home not a real company.)

I had a toilet that was leaking badly from the bottom of the tank. I called my home warranty company and they contacted Hill's General Plumbing to send someone out. They came out promptly. Oscar was pleasant and pleased that I already had 2 different sizes of rubber gaskets (I thought I would try to fix the toilet myself but, since my hand does not work so well these days, I decided to call the warranty company instead). After working for 5-10 minutes, Oscar said he was finished. I flushed the toilet and it did not leak. Two days later the leak returned. I called Hills and they re-scheduled Oscar to return. This time Oscar spent 5 minutes examining the toilet and then told me that ""parts"" were broken and he would need to order them and return to install them. Ok. I also asked him why, on his first visit he had only replaced one of the rubber seals around the bolts that hold the tank in place. Oscar got upset at this question and said that if I was not pleased with his work we could get someone else to do the work. I agreed that this was probably best. I examined the toilet after he left and discovered (by lifting the flapper and looking at the gasket) that the gasket he had installed had moved and left a gap-this was why the leak had returned. I removed the tank myself and discovered that he had used the wrong size gasket (3 inch)-I had supplied him with 2 sizes, he used the smaller gasket which did not fit. AND he never removed the old gasket which was very old, mushy and the original cause of the leak. I removed the old original gasket, replaced the gasket with one of the proper size (4 inch) and put the toilet back together. It works fine now. I was very disappointed that Oscar was not able to correctly diagnose the problem (which he had created) and wanted to purchase parts which were not needed. I have called my home warranty company to tell them the story and ask them not to send a plumber from Hills to my home again. I decided that Hills should be told about this also. I called and asked to speak to a manager/supervisor and was transferred to a man who told me his name was Jesus. I described the events that happened and he denied that this was the case and it was only my opinion, told me that Oscar was his best plumber and then hung up on me!!! I could have told him that I could prove it was not just my opinion because I had taken pictures to show what happened but I didn't have a chance since he hung up on me. A completely disappointing transaction.
