Would not recommend this company to anyone. Contracted with them to do a pretty large commercial job, and they started the work without obtaining the proper permits from the city, resulting in a stop work order, and then refused to correct the issues or complete the work. The delay in having them remove their materials, finding another plumber, and obtaining necessary permitting and city meetings, resulted in a delay of nearly 2 months in the opening of my business. All of this would have been avoided had they done as stated in our contract and required by city ordinances, and gotten the necessary permits prior to beginning the job. Further, the work they did perform was not all correct, and the correction of those errors resulted in a significant amount of additional costs. Staff (manager named Bobby)was rude and even went as far as yelling at and cussing me when I went into their office to try to discuss the issues and their intentions to remedy the situation, in front of my small child. I left there literally in tears. Mind you, this was a $5,000+ job. I finally had to resort to obtaining legal assistance in getting them to simply remove their materials from my shop so another company could come in and complete the job.
In the end, in total, instead of the original $5,000 cost for the job, I was out nearly 3 times that amount, and never received so much as an apology from anyone in the company!

I have not had a very good experience with this company lately. I have been a member of the ""Happy Hiller Club"" for a few years now and started having trouble last year. I had scheduled an appointment for my yearly system check-up and all was good. My son stayed home from work to be there for the ""technician"". I had been given a two hour window of time and was told that I would be called 30 minutes prior to the gut showing up. Well, after the time for the appointment had come and gone, my son called me to find out what happened. I called the local number and was told that due to scheduling issues and so many people being out sick, there was a delay. Well, I wanted to know why I had not been called as a courtesy tom let me know there would be a delay. Some many apologizes later, I had to reschedule for the coming Saturday. Well, this past week, I called for the Spring system checkup for my club membership, made the appointment, set the time for Friday afternoon, between 2-4, had the son standing by for the tech to show up, and guess what. Same exact thing happened; no call, nobody showed up and when I called, I was given the exact same excuse, people out sick...blah, blah, blah. But I was next on the list. I told them never mind, I;ll call Pioneer and Hiller had just lost a customer. Lost my membership fee, but oh well. Lesson learned.

Been a member of Happy Hiller Club for over 7 years (2 HVAC units biannually plus 1 plumbing inspection/year). Usually prompt courteous service. Their maintenance plan is reasonably priced, their repair costs tend to run high. Brady and Jason completed flush of hot water heater today - kindly honored my request to route the drain hose out beyond the area just outside my furnace room as that area was already turning into a small lake due to the monsoon rains we have been having. HVAC tune up scheduled for today had to be rescheduled due to weather - boo. That isn't Hiller's fault - just wish it could have been scheduled sooner than two weeks from now...

First, the positive: I called three plumbers Hiller was the only one that took my call immediately and scheduled a same-day appointment. The technician (by merit has skills that I would NOT call him a ""plumber"") arrived promptly as scheduled. It all went downhill from there.

The estimate for a leaky tub faucet, a leaky sink faucet, A broken bath tub stopper, and the replacement of a corroded exposed pipe under a pedestal sink: $795. Three times more than the high-ball estimate given by the other two plumbers. I needed it done right away and trusted Hiller's ""happy or it's free"" slogan/promise.

90 minutes into the technician's visit and no repairs were completed on the two items I elected to fix: replacement of the small corroded pipe and the leaky bathtub faucet.
An additional 25 minutes spent trying to locate water shut off which I had indicated was at the street edge of our property.
2.5 hours later: The small length of expose pipe was replaced with PVC with a diameter smaller than the original pipe leaving in exposed void around the tile under the pedestal sink. 3.5 hours later, The leaky bath faucet was repaired but now the sink was clogged.

The technician submitted a bill for $495. He stated that the newly clogged sink would be an additional charge--one for which he his work truck was not outfitted to repair. 30 minutes later, another truck arrived and unclogged the sink inside of five minutes.

I elected to use Hiller as this company was recommended by a trusted friend who had had a positive experience.
From the situation I can deduce that not all their technicians have equal skill levels and a consumer is really just rolling the dice when they choose Hiller.

I consider a very expensive lesson learned.
Next time I will call an independent company with a skill set appropriate for these simple repairs.

I am very pleased to rate Hiller with five plus stars. We were recently told that we needed a new water heater. We talked with a Hiller project manager and agreed to a new heater and install purchase. When the tech guy showed up the next morning with the new water heater he wanted to check out the old one himself. He made the necessary repair in five minutes and saved us $1,500.00. That is an honest tech guy and company. He could have very easily sold us the new water heater that we did not need.
After a good experience with our water heater problem we decided to use Hiller to replace our HVAC system. We just bought an $8,000.00 heat and air system. We highly recommend Hiller. I also recommend purchasing their Hiller Club service program for $99.00 a year.

Completely satisfied with this outfit. My first dealings with them was to install a new HVAC unit. A salesman came to the house. He didn't pressure me as I wanted to get some other estimates. The work was scheduled quickly.

Pros: Great technicians, highly skilled, very professional. Fast to get to your needs. I got free membership into the Happy Hiller club. You move to the front of the line for service. They come out every 6 months for free and do a tune up. They empty water heaters, check plumbing and electricity. It's pretty nice and if you need anything, you can schedule it with them. My new HVAC quit working on a hot evening during a dinner party. They had a technician there in less than an hour and he did a quick easy fix, a plugged up drain line. Impressed.

Cons: Seems quite expensive, but you get what you paid for. I was sold a Trane (or some other name brand heat pump, I don't remember) and then an off brand was installed. They said it was the same unit built by the same company with same warranty so I let it go but it seemed like a bait and switch. I had to have them back because the pad was not leveled with the install. It was resolved quickly.

All in all, they are a good outfit and take care of all our needs.

I don't write many reviews, but I am so glad we called Hiller Plumbing.
Our service man was Greg and he did a great job on our toilet. He reconstructed the whole unit and did an outstanding job. Very professional. We've never used Hiller in the past, but we will be sure to use them in the future. Thank you Greg and Hiller. Keep up the great work.

These guys are awesome! The Sales rep showed up on a Saturday afternoon within 1 hour of my call!! (after another company told me they might be able to come out Monday or Tuesday to ""discuss"" options.) He was very professional, patient, and extremely well informed on the product, options, and expected performance. He took his time and discussed every question in detail. Then, the install team showed up an amazing 3 days later for a complete installation. They too were very professional and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for better all-around service.

I sent a request at 1000, call back before noon, and a plumber was there by 1645. Nice. Neal, the plumber dude, was professional, courteous and knowledgeable but every time he walked back in the door the price went up. I like the concept of paying for a job rather than by the hour but, ipso facto, thy jack up the pricing. I'd have gone 5 stars but for two things - price and no warranty on the work. I understand that there is a ""belly"" in my pipe but I should have been informed of the no warranty before the work was performed not whilst I'm paying. Overall, I'd probably use them again.
