Knowledgeable and great service. They helped me with finacincing and to determine what my home really needed. The one who installed my last central unit gave me what the hiller guys called, a ""knock off of a knock off"" which i believe with all the problems i had with it. Joseph and Alex were treat to do business with. Will continue to do business.

Just had my pre-winter checkup on my HVAC system by Hiller. I appreciate how easy it was to schedule the service and how quickly they responded and did the service. John did a thorough check up and now I feel better knowing I can go from AC to heat without issue. I have been using them for years and always appreciate their service.

In Aug/Sept 2016 we purchased 2 brand new ac and heat units to the tune of 21k. We purchased the monthly hiller club so that they would come 2x a year and do maintenance.
Almost from thr jump, and it was very hot then, we had issues. Our upstairs ac was always freezing up and not working and our downstairs heat was always breaking.
It seemed the same 2 gentlemen would work on the heat downstairs. The younger one would come and say we needed a part and before he could order it the older one would say no you don't. It was a constant battle that led to it having to be repaired almost every year, most years multiple times.
The upstairs ac was always not cooling as it should. Had them back out here in March of 2023 and the repairman stated it was an ambient air sensor. When i called to question what that was the customer service rep proceeded to explain that it appears there are several things wrong with my unit and they were starting with that one.
Our drain pan has overflowed in our attic. The basement one has flooded our laundry room and had to have sheetrock replaced, by them thankfully.
The plan we had they were supposed to clean our ceiling fans. Not once did they do this as they said the fans were to high.
There have just been numerous issues, to many to list.
We called another company out for a 2nd opinion prior to repair. When the gentleman came, he advised that the build up on the coil was really thick. He explained they were supposed to be hosing it off on every maintenance visit. I do not recall that ever being done. After it was rinsed off it was found that it was leaking and would cost around 5200$ to replace. Now the issue was that no where had the coil down to the factory.
The units were to have a 10 year limited parts and warranty. The new company looked up our warranty only to tell us it expired in 2021 after 5 years. I spoke to the gentleman who sold us the units and he assured us he submitted all the proper paperwork to the higher ups to be submitted. After doing my own research i found that if you do not submit your registration it expires after 5 years vs 10.
With the Hiller Club i do not recall ever receiving any discounts on parts or anything of that nature.
The new company advised is that if we had not told him when they were installed he would have estimated the age to be 10 to 14 years old. THEY ARE 6.5 years old.
Needless to say we had to finance 16k for a new ac so we would have one. The basement one needs to be replaced as well we just didn't have the money at the time. Now we are with the new company and things seem to be going right for is. After the Hiller nightmare i make sure i stay on top of everything and watch them when they are here.
They never gave us a discount or anything for all the troubles from the start. Just know that happy you'll be or your service is free is a completely false advertisement.?

Jeff, Alex and Jorge did an exceptional job replacing our current hot water heater with a more energy efficient tankless filter. They were very helpful and walked us through the process and looked out for out best interest. We called at 12:30 and they were out here by 12:45-1:00

My husband called Hiller Plumbing when he noticed several leaks in the basement. Having a clogged sink and being in the middle of a shower renovation and a dishwasher installation we decided just to have the plumber take care of those things as well.

Understandably, due to it being a holiday, the earliest they could arrive was Monday. Our technician was early by almost an hour which was nice. He was very courteous and pleasant. I appreciated that he wore booties over his shoes so he wouldn't track mud into our home.

My husband left work early to meet the plumber so he could be sure he had all that he needed to complete the job as well as to understand any other issues that may be at hand.

I described the problems we were having, showed where the leaks were coming through in the basement and presented what we wanted installed. The plumber immediately decided (apparently without thoroughly checking upstairs) that the problem was our 1950's galvanized plumbing and called a project manager to come out and give us a quote on replacing all of the plumbing. We expected to have to do this within the next several years anyway and were fine with doing it sooner if absolutely necessary and if it was reasonably priced.

The project manager arrived and the plumber showed him all of the ""problem areas"". He then wrote up a quote for nearly $5000 to replace the piping. Our home is not big and all of the plumbing (1 bathroom consisting of a toilet, shower and sink, and one kitchen sink - about 10-20' of piping to connect it all) is very close together.

He said he couldn't connect the dishwasher to the current galvanized plumbing and it would have to wait until they replaced it all. They also said that the leak we initially called about couldn't be fixed and we would have to have all of the plumbing redone.

This price seemed outrageous and we opted to get a second opinion.

In the meantime, we agreed to have the plumber hook up the plumbing for the the shower. There was already an existing tub there, so the pipe just needed to be run up the wall to connect to the shower head and switch the double controls (hot and cold) to a single lever type. It cost us $600 and took 5 hours for this alone.

After the plumber left, we realized that he had installed the plumbing at the wrong height and our shower panel was subsequently ruined. Also, my husband had a chance to really examine the toilet and realized the leak was coming from a wax seal that needed to be replaced, not the existing pipes. By this point our bathroom vanity and flooring was ruined.

My husband called and expressed our frustration that not only did we think the cost for the services we received and were quoted were ridiculous (highway robbery, I called it), but they failed to properly diagnose the problem resulting in considerable damage to our bathroom, and then neglected to properly install the shower plumbing.

The following day a manager arrived to inspect the work. My husband had to take off another day of work in order to be home to meet him. He agreed that they were at fault and promised to have the plumber come back and fix the toilet and shower and also replace the shower panel. My husband firmly expressed that we wanted a different+ plumber than the first to do the work since we had serious doubts about his skill level.

Soon afterwards, I received a phone call to schedule the repair work with the original plumber. I asked to have someone else sent and it seemed to be a bit of an issue for them to do this, but I insisted. They did send two other plumbers who were able to complete the jobs in a reasonable amount of time and it was done correctly, which we appreciated very much.

A week later, we had another plumber come and hook up our dishwasher, as well as replace all of the outgoing plumbing, for $300!! We haven't had any problems since.

Despite having paid to join the ""Happy Hiller Club"", we decided not to schedule any of the covered services. We just didn't feel like we could trust this company. Very disappointing that Dave Ramsey recommends them.

David, who is on Hillers tv commercial took copper pipe out of my home and replaced it with flex pipe. I asked him not to and after I left for work he cut it out anyway. My wife was afraid to say anything. I will never use Hiller again. I have a home built in 1936. It was important to me to keep it original. I feel ignored and ripped off. Don't use Hiller.
