As the preferred choice for homeowners with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee of ""Happy You'll Be or the Service is Free!"" mantra, Hiller stands as Tennessee's largest provider of home plumbing, heat solutions, cooling systems, and power solutions.
Established in 1990 from a duplex in Antioch, TN with just $500 and one employee - 24-year-old Jimmy Hiller, built his company on principles that were unique in Middle Tennessee and are now hallmarks of the Hiller brand: insisting technicians to wear shoe covers, keeping clean workspaces, offering upfront and flat-rate pricing, and providing 24/7 repair services.
Not long ago named the fifth fastest-growing private company in Middle Tennessee, Hiller manages a fleet of 420 ""happy face"" trucks and employs over 600 staff members.
Jimmy Hiller has built an exceptionally successful, multi-state enterprise based on a straightforward yet impactful principle, ""Care is Our Core Value."" When he started Hiller Plumbing in 1990, he designed a business model centered on three key components: a high level of professional expertise, a positive demeanor, and the integrity to complete the job correctly.
Since the company's inception, Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electrical has completed over a million service calls and continues to expand at a double-digit rate, through the growth of its service offerings and strategic acquisitions.
Recently honored by the Nashville Business Journal as one of the ""Top CEOs (and their companies)"", Jimmy remains actively engaged in the daily operations of Hiller and has shifted his focus to nurturing a new generation of professionals whose dedication to the customer experience is fueled by the core values on which his business was originally established.

M J A.Happy to have a working faucet! Ask for Bo....super nice, efficient, honest, and does quality work. I first had a bad experience with Hiller but Hiller called right away and fixed my issue. They stood behind their word which can be rare. I will use them again.
Chad W.More expensive than others in the area. Occasionally good, often bad. They are just too big and you never know the quality of the tech coming out.
I was a ""happy hiller"" club customer for a few years. during that time, they serviced my hvac and plumbing. on every visit, they suggested thousands of dollars in improvements to my home - from whole house water filter (even though i already have one!) to electrically charged filter screens. still like this idea but it's several thousand dollars.
during the club visits, they always said they were happy to changed my whole house filter cartridge for me gratis as well as change out a kitchen sink faucet handle cartridge that goes bad about once a year.
well, the kitchen faucet started leaking from the handle again. i called hiller to come out for an estimate. they called it a ""rebuild"" even though i knew it was a 5-10 minute job and i had the parts from the manufacturer. the service tech quoted $250. i called hiller accounting while he was here and they confirmed that three years ago they did it gratis when the plumbing was serviced. the prior year they arbitrarily charged me $79. and now this year, they wanted $250. all for the same quick job - no parts from them. finally the service tech said he'd been authorized to go as low as $224 for the fix. i told him to leave.
i called N2 plumbing on a referral from the store where the faucet was purchased. they offered to do it for the price of their service call (under $100 - $60ish, i think). meanwhile, i realized i needed an extra outdoor spigot. they ended up installing that and doing the faucet gratis (free) while they were already here.
please nashville companies - stop taking advantage of your customers - esp women!!
Very disappointed in Hiller. Immediately after our AC tune-up this spring, our AC unit started to inadvertently stop working. We found that the rep never screwed the screen back on right, and the little ""nobs"" were even left in the grass. (He arrived way past his window, so we had to leave the house before he had finished). Today is the first day it didn't eventually ""kick back in,"" so we called, explained the situation, and we were informed that Hiller would not take any responsibility, that the earliest they could come out to us is Wednesday (today is Saturday ... seriously?), and we'd have to pay the $89 service call visit. Are you kidding me? So we are now hiring a Hiller competitor to fix Hiller's mess up. Time for Hiller to replace their tagline: ""Unhappy you'll be and your service will cost even more!""
Ronald C.After an email to Jimmy Hiller, I got a call from Debbie in dispatch that she was sending a senior tech named Robbie Ford to fix my aggravating sink problem. I later received a call from a manager named Bob apologizing for the fiasco that we have been through and he said that he would refund the full amount of my bill. So Hiller did stand behind their 100% satisfaction guarantee. Robbie and his partner were extremely knowledgeable, professional and completely took care of my sink problem. Thank you.
So we needed a sink in our half bath connected. I did all the removal of the old sink, sanded and painted the space so this would be an easy install. Called Hiller to come out to install. They don't give free estimates. Should have been our first warning. They showed up and looked at the pipe and connections and proceeded to quote us 750.00 for a simple install. At this point we're out 60.00 for about 5 minutes of their time. Total ripoff. Avoid at all cost! Very unhappy!
Update -
Called Hiller to complain. Have yet to hear back from them. In the meantime I went to Home Depot and bought a piece of pvc to extend the trap. 20 minutes later the vanity is installed and not leaking anywhere. Cost 7.00 and 20 minutes of my time. I am not a plumber but this was basic to install and looking back all Hiller wanted was to gouge us. They will never set foot in my house again.
Chuck S.Would give Hiller 0 stars if possible.
Have you heard their annoying ass jingle? Yeah, you know the one. You probably change the radio station when it comes on. I know I do. Well, I fell for it and said ""they do have trucks everywhere... and oh, hey! They offer a $99 yearly 'tuneup.' That sounds great being a new homeowner.""
Buyer beware. I set up 4 appointments. Heating, cooling, plumbing and electric. Every single one of them said I had something insanely wrong with my house. If I were to take their recommendations for everything, I would have spent 20,000. Nice guys. You stay classy.
The thing that tipped me off is when the plumbing guy came out. He just straight out said ""Man, my job is to tell you anything that's wrong with the house and I'm here to sell it to you."" That was the last straw. That's not to mention that I got a second opinion from Jack Ward Plumbing (the company I went with for the job) and they completely contradicted what Hiller said. They told me the work that needed to be done, said nothing was urgent and I could do it on my own time.
Hiller is seriously the devil. Screw the sales tactics. I have worked in sales before and I hate tacky sales tricks.
Do yourself a favor and NEVER hire them. Period.
We called Hiller to fix a heating unit in a house. They went to the house and could not find the motor for the system, so they told us that we would have to replace the whole unit for $7,400.00. We received a second opinion from another company and they priced a replacement unit at $4,300.00. We then got a third opinion from a different company that was able to fix the motor in the system for under $400.00.
I do not recommend using Hiller as they do not asses the issue, they try to get as much money out of you as possible.
Terrell L.*** UPDATE ***
Hiller has reduced their price to assist me with finnishing my bathroom floor project. The subcontarctor they hired was unable to complete the job as originally proposed in their contract with me, so in order for me to hire a contractor Hiller did in fact reduce their plumbing repairs fees in order to make up the differnce in cost of their subcontractor and the contractor that I have hired.
I feel this was in good faith and a smart business move on Hiller's Part, again I am a Happy Hiller Customer.
Connie G.I had a great customer service from Lydia at the calling center. She is great and should get a $$$. The company almost lost my business if it was it for her and the kind treatment of Nick the technician. Nick was great as well and helpful. I did have a very hard time with the local Huntsville office with the clerical staff there . They need some training to be professional. They were not very helpful at all and seem not have knowledge of anything when I kept asking about a quote that was given to me of $1138 by the tech. Apparently, they did not have a note and they promise to call back but never actually follow thorough...a perfect way to lose business....anyways, I did feel the charge was a bit pricy when it was changed to $2140 after the fact that they were already working on my heating unit. So, the guarantee from the website that the first quote is accurate and no surprises in cost is false advertising. I do appreciate they fix my unit since I'm out the state, but it was frustrating to deal with their Huntsville office with the constant ""I don't know"" and not following though with action items they were supposed to do. The project billing manager also did a poor job. I forgot his name. I was looking into possibly change my unit, but he never send me the quote to my email. Again, this not the way to do business. I would look for better service now that I know I will need in new unit the near future.
