Last week we used this plumber for the first time! We were informed our shower may have been leaking to the unit below us and I called immediately hoping it wasn't bad and to get it fixed asap!

The gentleman who came out the next day was very professional, respectful and kind explaining what he could see just from our unit. He did say if anything further happens he would probably need access to the below unit but I am happy to report that there has been no leaking or dripping since he came out!

He was here all of 10 mins and the price they charged was the best I've ever heard of for a plumber service!

My wife and I moved to Simi about 18 months ago and have been using H&D Plumbers the whole time. They are truly amazing, quick response times, professional standards and well worth their price. We had some plumbers come out through our home warranty company that weren't from H&D and basically billed me for nothing. Our water heater started leaking so I gave Highsmith & Daughters Plumbing a call first thing in the morning. They answered the phone right away and gave me estimates over the phone. They send out Trenton, who took the time out of his day to come check out what was going on. He arrived within 30 min, assessed the situation and was completely up front and honest with what the work would entail. We booked him to come back the next day to install a new tankless water heater. He arrived on time, was completely professional, and it was clear that he cares about his customers. My wife and I began our association with Highsmith & Daughters Plumbing when we were purchasing our home and they were initially referred to us to perform a sewer line inspection. Our house is nearly 60 years old and much of the plumbing and fixtures were original and/or in need of updating at the time we bought it. Since then, H&D has provided a wide range of repair and upkeep services: sewer main line clearing, repair & descaling, faucet and drain repairs, bib replacement, shower & other valve installations, kitchen sink & faucet installation and replacement of aging, original pipes. While H&D's visits are often to address an immediate issue, they may also suggest practical, long-term options or preventative measures without ever pushing or upselling. For example, we were having chronic and worsening draining issues in our main bathroom which was diagnosed as a result from extremely clogged, aging (55+ year old) pipes near our T-junction. Matthew Highsmith suggested we consider a complete replacement of the junction piping - A more major project than conventional snaking which was not yielding much success. We agreed because, frankly, that's the high level of TRUST that Highsmith & Daughters have EARNED with us. Sure enough, after a more-stubborn-than-expected replacement, Matthew showed us the replaced, original piping that was extremely compacted with residue built up over the last half century. Like a dangerously clogged artery, with only a fraction of its nominal flow. We benefited from his expert diagnosis and though, while reasonably priced, the solution was more than we originally expected to pay for a chronically clogged shower drain, it was ultimate the RIGHT decision in the long-term. (Furthermore, the repair work was done on a holiday, masked during the early Covid-19 lockdown days and Matthew left our bathroom thoroughly clean before closing out.)

More recently, H&D did a repair & replacement on our sewer main line and clean out as well as descaled our cast iron pipes. (Again, our house is older and hadn't been previously updated much.) Our main line had root intrusion which was causing back-ups on a regular basis. H&D gave us some options to consider and laid out the benefits and estimated costs associated with each. Though ostensibly this was mostly repair work, the end result seemed in many ways like an upgrade.

Everyone at Highsmith & Daughters has been friendly and dedicated to providing the best service. Scanning through several of the preceding reviews, I immediately recognize the positivity so many have shared from their experiences and echo their praises. Ultimately, whenever it's time for a routine line or drain clearing or there's an unexpected plumbing issue, I will undoubtedly have a much lower level of anxiety than could otherwise be expected because I KNOW I will be well taken care of by Highsmith & Daughters. What's a holiday without plenty of people over and a backed up kitchen sink. Thankfully, I had used Highsmith and daughter's before and was glad that I had this connection to a good, reliable and honest plumber. I didn't ask them to come on thanksgiving but they were at my house first thing in the morning . I have used other ""big Box"" plumbers like Dutton and found them devious and deceptive. Never again, I would highly recommend Highsmith and daughters to anyone!

Both of our toilets were acting up and needed attention ASAP. I gave Highsmith and Daughters a call and was immediately taken care of. A plumber wasn't available on Saturday, but the office employee went out of her way to give the owner a call to see if he could come by on Sunday instead. I was so appreciative of this since it's difficult to take time off from work during the week.

The owner came and fixed both toilets. The cost of repairs was reasonable and he was in and out quickly. Thank you so much!
