I’m Anthony Sheldone, and I founded this business in May 2018. My goal was to establish a better choice for clients. I noticed that many companies were providing comparable services yet missing the mark. I created this company to raise the bar in service excellence, customer satisfaction, competitive rates, and overall value for each service we deliver. We specialize in both residential and automotive services. Currently, we are focusing on air conditioning for homes and automotive glass services. I am a second-generation expert in auto glass services, with over 15 years of experience. I completed trade school in HVAC and refrigeration and possess EPA Section 608 universal certification, which is the highest accreditation in refrigerant services, boasting over 10 years of hands-on experience, three of those years focused on Mitsubishi ductless systems.

Greg C.I looked up top plumbers in the Weymouth area and Anthony popped up. I called him and he had a cancellation that day and fit me in. It was a small repair job that probably took him half an hour. While he could have just ordered new parts and charged me to come back and install it, he cleaned it up right there on the spot instead. He charged me the hourly rate and nothing extra. He gave a good look around my setup and echoed exactly what the home inspector and everyone I've shown our basement plumbing said - the configuration is all old and out of shape. He's emailing me an estimate of what the replacement pieces and labor would be, but I feel no pressure to take him up on it. I will though - he answered all my questions, responded quickly, fixed the problem, and was upfront and honest about it. I'll be having him come back to upgrade the pipes down in my basement. Highly recommend!
I can't say enough about Anthony! I am having a whole new furnace put in along with some duct work. At every step of the way Anthony has given me several different affordable options to choose from, has been very patient in answering all my questions and always responds immediately. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Higher Standard Service is aptly named. Indeed, I cannot speak/write more highly of Higher Standard Service owner Anthony Sheldone and his brother Tyler and, most importantly, the exceptional work they did in fixing my heating system. They truly are experts in, and passionate about, their craft: professional, meticulous, dedicated, efficient, punctual, hard-working and incredibly knowledgeable. I unequivocally recommend them for any and all heating, plumbing and AC repair and installation work required by prospective clients. My father worked as a master, licensed plumber and heating repairman on the Cape and South Shore for 30+ years; I very gladly observed in Anthony and Tyler the same high-standard of quality, care and commitment that my father put into his work for three-plus decades.
Beyond the efficiency and high-quality of their work, Anthony and Tyler excel in customer service. I received prompt, courteous, clear and detailed responses to all questions I asked them about the work being done. The sincerity of their encouragement for me to contact them with any questions or concerns during the job and after its completion made - and continue to make - me rest very easy. Their availability and accessibility as well as dedication to customer satisfaction is second to none. In that connection, Anthony and Tyler were remarkably respectful of my property and the indoor and outdoor spaces in which they had to work: taking off boots inside at all times; always asking permission to touch and move any of my belongings to access pipes, etc.; and, thoroughly cleaning-up and, if necessary, properly storing their tools and materials on site (but well out of sight) at the end of the day.
What is more, when they are on the job, they stay on the job. They show up on time, take only short breaks (with the exception of a reasonable lunch break), and make sure to pack up and typically head out between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. so as not to disrupt your time and space in the evenings - unless extenuating circumstances require them to stay beyond 5/5:30 p.m. to complete critical repair/installation work. Of course, the added bonus to all of this is their incredibly reasonable and competitive pricing. I am so grateful to have had Higher Standard Service fix my heat and gladly will reach out to Anthony and Tyler with any future plumbing, heating and AC management needs.
Jimmy W.This kid was awful. Unfortunately, this is not a joke, but did end up with a happy ending from another company. My tenant's unit reported no heat in a unit with a brand new Navien system in it. I called and Higher Standard said they definitely do Naviens, and it would be $99 to come and diagnose the issue and go from there.
He came out, seemed like a really nice, sincere, young kid. While there, he mentioned a few things it could be, and was nice enough to clean the filter while diagnosing. This was a Friday, he said he needed to order some parts and he could come back and fix everything on Monday morning.
I thought, completely reasonable, and he seems sincere, so sure thing. He billed me $198 for the diagnosis and his extra time cleaning the filter and checking the line. I wasn't going to argue the extra $100, because most other places are $150-200 just for the diagnosis, then they actually fix the problem. But, he needed the right parts to fix a pump, so I said fine and paid.
That night my tenant came home and said now they have no hot water either. This was NEVER an issue. We let the tech know that now there is no hot water. He came back out, spent another 2 hours there checking everything he had done the day before and said that he thinks he is now going to need to conduct a complete full maintenance on the entire system, plus change the filter, and he should also be able to get those parts in by Monday. He also told me repeatedly that it was not his fault, but that it was something that me or the tenants must have done after he left. (There is no way that either of these things could have happened. None of us would ever touch anything). I said, if it needs to be done, then let's just do whatever has to happen to get these ladies hot water and heat.
He left. I was thinking the next I would hear would be for letting him in Monday morning to do the work. Instead, the next day, a matter of hours later the tenants called me saying that water is spraying out and flooding the room. I called this kid, Anthony, again ASAP and told him he needs to get out there and fix whatever he did. This is unacceptable. He said he can't, but if I can go, then he can talk me through it. I got out there myself and as it turned out, the filter he ""cleaned"" was never screwed back in properly, so once pressure built, it started spewing water. After several attempts and about 30 minutes, I got it in straight and no issues. He said he would be back in the morning to do the full work and really fix it. (FYI, when I called him this time, he picked up the phone and before he realized I could hear him said, ""it's this F'ing guy again"". Very professional... but, i would not have had to call back if he had put things back properly when done. I also really kept it cool, bc at the end of the day, I just need this thing fixed.
Monday morning comes around, I don't hear from him until I check in and ask if he got the parts and what time can I meet to let him in... he said, ""yea know, I think this job will take too much work and I'm not really sure that I can do it."" This is via text now.
Although, I was fuming that we wasted this much time trying to get it fixed, I texted back, ""okay, why don't you refund me my $198, and we both go out separate ways?"". He told me no way am I getting a refund because his website (that he originally asked me to write a review on) says clearly on it that there are no refunds.
I stopped texting him and called Navien themselves, who told me to call Boston Standard Company. Anthony kept texting me angry texts, ""why am I being like this?"", ""why would I expect to get a refund?"".
A few hours later, Mike from Boston Standard Co. came out wearing a Navien fleece. He spent 30 minutes looking at everything. Said whoever was in here before reversed the leads going into the thermostat and shut the pump down (the pump had power to it when Anthony was there, so he clearly connected that wrong before leaving also. I even took a picture of it on while he was telling me to install a Taco pump instead). Then Mike, the BOSTON STANDARD Co. tech came back in and saw that the real issue was just the dip switches were never set when installed. It took 5 minutes and no extra parts or visits. The tenants have been happy with heat ever since.
The comical thing it, Anthony left a sticker from his company's contact info on the side of my heating unit without asking me as well. As soon as I saw that, I knew I needed to post.
So, moral of the story, do not use Higher Standard Service in general, but absolutely do not use them if you have a Navien. Call Boston Standard Co. first and get it fixed the first time.
Very mixed experience. Tried to schedule an appointment for a week and agreed on a Saturday service until they canceled on me and gave the appointment to another customer. Supposedly I did not reply fast enough. Well, I do have a daily job and can't answer during the day but always answered to all questions in the evening. I had confirmed that I wanted the job done and agreed for them to provide the material. Stop blaming customers and improve your customer service, I will not work with you in the future, sorry.
Jon P.Anthony provides first class service and professionalism in a pinch. My rental property's heat was not working and he was able to come the afternoon of my outreach. Also, quoted a fair price and initial assessment while coming within a couple dollars of it with the finished product. Very pleased with everything to date and he even followed up this morning making sure heat was still functioning at 100%. Highly recommend and will continue going to Higher Standard Service moving forward.
Anthony worked on our heating system and did an excellent job. Excellent communications and and always knowledgeable and professional. Took the time to explain options, give advise and trustful. He is a go to for us in the future.
My tenant had an issue with central AC heating after winter snow storm in Weymouth. I made a call with Higher Standard Service and told them about the emergency situation. Anthony was able to provide an ETA on the spot and confirmed that he will be at the property shortly after. Communication was excellent and super quick response. Once the diagnosed was performed, we realized it was just a false alarm and the furnace switch was turned off by mistake. Anthony called me back, explained in detail and didn't charge me anything. I know there are service providers that would charge for just going out to the property and perform check on the issues. Extremely friendly staff and honest with doing business. I will definitely come back to them for service maintenance and any future issues. Thank you so much again!!
Park G.I recently had some leaks that needed some pretty immediate attention and found Higher Standard Service when I searched in the Quincy area. I have a mixed review for the service as a whole.
- Prompt. Among the four or five plumbers that I called, Anthony was the only one that was willing and able to fit me into the next day.
- Communication - This can use some work as I was told to expect him at noon but did not receive any communication when he was running late. Below is what I encountered before he arrived.
*Texted him at noon and he said he was coming from Quincy and was going to me next, I am in Quincy Center
*Texted again at 12:40 which he then said he needed to go to the supply house, so needed 30 more minutes which would put that at 1:10
*Got a text at 1:13 saying he got off the Quincy exit
*Texted and called him at 1:34 which is 20 minutes after the text saying he was 4 minutes away
- Price - I haven't had much work done in the past before but I had Anthony replace a faucet as well as replacing two water supply lines to my vanity (two separate jobs) which came to around $380.
With his work, he guarantees it for different amounts of time with the water lines guaranteed up to 3 years. I am quite pleased with that! All in all, I am glad to be able to get someone in rather quickly as opposed to getting an appointment that went into the next week.
My gas furnace was not working properly, it was continuously running but only blowing cool air. I did my research and found Higher Standard Service, Anthony was very responsive and returned my call promptly. Unfortunately, that was the only part about doing business with him that was good. He showed up but couldn't get the unit fixed the same day, that is understandable, but he didn't seem to be able to identify the actual issue. He honestly didn't seem to have much experience working with my particular brand (Carrier). After the second time coming to the house, he said he would have to go get the part, and would be back, but didn't show up again that day. I ended up putting a stop payment on the check I gave him because I was not too confident in him actually being able to fix the problem and didn't think he was being up front about it. He wasn't happy about that when he found out, I told him that I understood, but as the customer I had my concerns which I addressed with him, but he ended up getting upset stating that I didn't know anything and that he is the professional! Upon return, he told me that he couldn't find the part needed locally and had to order it. A few days later he came by again and installed the part. The heat started working so I paid him the rest of his money and thought all was done. about a week later the problem returned, I called him and was told that he will come again but will have to charge if what he fixed is not the current issue. 3 weeks later he never called nor come. I had to get another tech to come out and was told that the part that the previous tech replaced could not possibly cause the problem I was experiencing. So I wasted about $500 with this guy for absolutely nothing. Also he ended up breaking something in the furnace and when I asked him about it, because he clearly broke the piece, he got mad at me claiming that it was like that when he got there and I know for a fact that it was not. An absolute horrible experience. Good luck if you choose to deal with Anthony or this company. I've never given anyone a bad review, but with this experience being so bad, I would not feel comfortable letting anyone go through it because they didn't know.
