I highly recommend Simon from High Quality Plumbing. We had a challenging installation for a tankless gas-fired hot water heater due to a partially finished basement. In addition, it's a long run from the gas meter to the water heater. Simon provided a detailed quote and was very accommodating with scheduling the job. He took care of all the details and was very responsive to all my questions. The work was top-notch and I'll definitely go with High Quality Plumbing for future needs.

Never was a company more accurately named! If I could give Simon from High Quality Plumbing a ten-star rating, I would. From the start when he sent me a calendar meeting invite for the initial consultation, I knew I was dealing with a professional. Simon and his assistant, Nic, replaced a poorly installed Navien combi boiler that controls our heat and hot water when it suddenly died in the middle of winter. We'd had recurring problems with it because of the poor installation. It was a lot of work to replace, and he and Nic worked diligently to get the job done so we could have our heat and hot water back on as soon as possible.

Simon installed a newer model Navien combi boiler that is much quieter and has several new features. He also added several redundant valve shut offs to make future servicing of the system as easy as possible to keep it running efficiently. He explained what he was doing every step of the way, and why each of the components were necessary and what they did, sending links from the manufacturers so I could feel comfortable with his suggestions. He was thorough and careful in planning the system as a whole. When a stubborn problem arose with one of the components, he followed every lead to make sure it was adjusted properly.

After the job was finished, Simon was diligent in making sure that the system was tested properly and that all the valves were labeled so that we knew where the gas and water shut offs were in case we needed to shut off the system in an emergency. He had a city inspector come in to approve the work, so you know he had installed everything according to code. It was approved on the spot with no problems.

I can't say that I've ever had this good of an experience hiring a contractor to work in my home before. He and Nic were respectful, professional, and considerate. They put drop cloths down where they worked and cleaned up the space afterward. Every evening, they would make arrangements for what time they would each be arriving the next morning, and they were always on time and stayed into the evening some days. I wish I could hire them for every job needed around our house!

Simon from High Quality Plumbing provided top-notch service, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs professional plumbing services. His rates were very reasonable. He recommended what needed to be done only but nothing extra. His work ethic was very high, and he really focused on solving the problem I had.

I needed to have a commercial style toilet flush unit replacement work done at my condo. While the replacement work itself was not complicated and laborious for a plumber who has a Master Plumber license, Simon made sure the work was done right the first time due to the number of people that was affected from the main water shutoff required at the condo building. He came to my unit to take measurements and evaluate the issues before making an appointment with me and the building management to do the actual work. He offered to purchase the flush unit for me or let me purchase it myself. He told me beforehand that he did not intend to make any profits from the parts. He merely provided the parts as a one-stop service for the customers. His part prices were even cheaper than what I could buy on my own outside. My condo building management had to change the appointment two times for the building water shutoff due to the logistics involved. Simon was accommodating and provided us with other alternative dates and times that he would be available. His communication was excellent. All phone calls, e-mails and text messages would be responded or returned. He provided his license and insurance coverage to the building management directly. On the job day, he showed up on time and started working immediately without any delay. He went down to the basement of the building to drain the standing water in the pipe after the building serviceman shut the main water off. He laid something similar to rosin paper on the floor, making sure he left the work place as clean if not cleaner than before he started. During the process, he explained to me why and how he did what he was doing. Every step was done in details to ensure that he did not need to re-do it. He had a much higher standard for his own work than I had expected. After the replacement work was done, he carefully inspected any leaks and adjusted the unit to ensure that it functioned properly. He tested the unit many times before calling the job done. He cleaned up the work site at the end.

Simon is an honest professional that I would recommend hiring. My condo building management required someone like him who has a Master Plumber license with insurance coverage before they let anyone touch the pipes. You will not only appreciate the quality of his work, but also value his humble, unassuming personality.
