Darrow has been a Godsend. He came out to my office to look at something and fixed it inside of 10 minutes.

I then had him come to a rental property and fix a leak that was costing me a lot of money. Good, fast and very fairly priced.

Finally, he came to my home and consulted me on what was wrong - my toilet had a squeaking issue that was driving my wife nuts! Fixed!!!

Can't recommend him enough!

I called Hicks Plumbing due to a small leak in the wall of my shower / shower head spout. Darrow responded to our home as soon as he was available and quickly diagnosed and stopped the leak. Additionally, he noted and advised us of an issue that we assumed could have been the cause of the leak and needed to be resolved. Darrow could have ""just fixed"" the initial problem, collected payment and left the job - however, he was thorough, made suggestions and offered a very reasonable price. Darrow is well versed in his trade, is personable and professional. I will call on him for all of our future plumbing needs...

Darrow was quick on the response for my gas line issue with one of my gas fireplaces. He showed up when he said he would and had a great out of the box idea that turned out to be a quick and cheap fix that worked perfectly. Enjoying my gas fireplace now in this cooler weather.

Hicks Plumbing saved us hundreds of dollars. We had an issue with the gas plumbing in our fireplace. We had discussed the matter with over a dozen other plumbers. Many said they wouldn't be able to help us. Others said they'd be happy to have a look for $xyz per hour, but refused to discuss the problem over the phone or look at any pictures (via text or email) in advance of the service call. I had little confidence that those plumbers would show up prepared for the job, and I have little doubt that they would have charged me for the time it would have taken them to go get the necessary parts; that is, assuming they even agreed to help - after charging me the inspection fee. One such plumber did come out, and he told us we'd have to spend over a $1000 to re-plumb our fireplace.

Then I came across Hicks Plumbing on Yelp. Darrow was helpful and professional from the start. I described the problem, and he immediately asked if I could send him any pictures. I was thrilled that he asked. After discussing the job with him for a few minutes, I was confident he was our best hope.

Darrow arrived when he said he would. He took great care in fixing our problem. He was professional and courteous, and he was transparent about costs.

Hicks Plumbing will definitely be our go-to plumber from now on.

I have called Darrow twice (once last year, and also a few days ago) to fix my clogged toilets and sinks! He does a fantastic job troubleshooting the root of the problem, and explaining clearly what may be the source of the problem, and how he wants to proceed to fix it! Unlike some of the plumbers I have tried before who can be dishonest, shady, and unreliable, Darrow is the complete opposite! He is very reliable, honest, extremely courteous, and professional :D !! And he never tries to upsell you! If he feels that it's not necessary to replace an entire unit, he will tell you that. If he feels that certain things just need to be replaced or tweaked, instead of involve a huge project, he will tell you that as well. He never tries to overcharge you, and he never tries to charge you unnecessarily! I feel extremely comfortable recommending him to my family and friends :) !! And if I have any plumbing issues in the future, he will definitely be my go-to plumber :D !!

Don't waste your time or money on this guy. Paid him to fix Hot Water Heater...did not repair, however, wanted to charge me again to fix the original problem.

Best experience working with Darrow!!! Guys, he is HONEST!!!!
Darrow came on time, and he answered all text/calls before our appointment. He fixed my shut-off valve for my washer, and did a great job.
His invoice was clear on prizing for parts ($45), and labor ($145).

I had 2 other quotes from 2 other plumbers for this same job.

1st quote was $1,050 (parts & installation) + $100 (for picking up the valve at the store). This guy made 2 unnecessary holes on my wall during inspection/quote. He said this was a 2 day job. Obviously to justify the hefty $1050 + $100 quote.

2nd quote $650 for parts & installation.

Ok, this is kind of bizarre, but after I paid the invoice IN FULL for all services he provided, I requested him to itemize out the bill to isolate the dishwasher install from the faucet install, as my flooring company was going to reimburse me for the dishwasher install (long story). In order to get reimbursed, they requested a separate invoice JUST for the DW install. So Darrow made a separate DUPLICATE invoice after-the-fact (again, paid in full). Well his invoicing system must remind him of ""unpaid"" invoices because months later he randomly hits me up to pay this extra invoice even though we paid in full for the job. Several years later and he is still trying to invoice me. He apparently is confused and even when I explain it he argues. Over it.
