We have used Hickman Plumbing for repair and replacement of toilets, faucet repair, and installation of a new water heater. In each case over the past five years, Hickman's responsiveness to our plumbing crises has been simply stunningly immediate. Further, this outfit is professional in every way -- they properly analyze a problem, give the best solution to it, present alternatives if available, and undertake any repair or installation promptly. Hickman will show the work being done every step of the way, as desired, so there is never a question of the work's status or suitability. Upon completion, the work area is left spotless. As to pricing, Hickman is scrupulously ethical; on one occasion John told us how we could very simply do a repair for a tenth of what he would have to charge, saving us a stash of money for a few minutes of our time.

As other authors of reviews here have stated, we wouldn't consider calling any other plumber in Tempe/South Scottsdale.

Great work at a fair price. Had them install a new facet set in a bathroom and repair a leaking tub facet. Courteous, on time , efficient and a fair price....does it get better than that for a plumber? Give these guys a shot!!

We have just moved here to Mesa, and remodeled our home. We called 3 people to get quotes for installing our Gas Range. We decided to go with Hickman Plumping, Heating and Cooling.

Chris Dines was the Tech who came out to give a bid and what would need to be done. What we thought would be a easy application turned out to be more work than expected. However what Chris quoted did not change. We are now happy owners of a new gas range.
And a 2 new toilet insulations, our plumping updated in the laundry room for new washer and dryer and wash basin. I am sure we are forgetting something that Chris touched, but Chris Dines is a fantastic person and great with helping us with all our needs.
We will not hesitate to call on Chris if or when the time arises.

Last week a shower cylinder failed and we had another plumber out to fix it. There was a lot of drilling, cutting, banging, a crack in the shower wall and plenty of smoke. It took over 2 hours and over $250.00. Yesterday we had the exact same problem in another bathroom. This morning John Hickman came out, did the exact same job, no damage, not a lot of noise, and no smoke. In about an half the time he fixed the same thing and charged A LOT LESS. John Hickman was more like an operating surgeon, technique over brute force. We are never going to use anyone else.

I have had Hickman Plumbing come to my home for various issues and have always been happy with their service.

Two days ago I found a large leak had appeared under the kitchen sink and in a very short time had covered half the kitchen floor. I shut off (I thought) the water into the home and soaked up the water after on the floor till dry. Called and made appointment with Hickman for the next day figuring the damage had been done and we could wait till the next day for the repair. As there was no water for toilets etc, we left for the evening. When we came back the next day, once again the kitchen floor was partially flooded. Found out from Hickman (Chris) that the only real way to shut off the water is at the meter.

Bottom line is that he found and fixed 2 water turn-offs which were leaking under the sink as well as replacing a downstairs toilet that was not flushing properly. He charged exactly as originally quoted, completed the repairs in a timely manner and was pleasant to be around.

I would call Hickman Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

Called Hickman plumbing because they have done great work for us before and we know we can trust them. John was very helpful in diagnosing that we needed to replace our 9 1/2 yr old H2Oheater. We scheduled the appointment and today Chris showed up on time and installed the heater with ease! I was amazed at how efficient he was and he took the time to explain how the unit worked and recommended to flush it once a year offering over the phone assistance if we needed help. I highly recommend Hickman plumbing!

I have used Hickman Plumbing 3 times now. John and Chris have come out to do some work at my house including replacing kitchen faucets, toilet repair, outside water faucets etc and each time they showed up on time and did an excellent job. They are the only plumbers I will call. They are professional and personable and reasonably with their pricing. Cant thank them enough.

I had Hickman Plumbing repair 3 toilets at my rental unit in the last 6 months. They did the work, but refused to stand by their work when two of the toilets failed again. Also, they never called to authorize any repairs. Instead they just went and did the repairs and billed me.

When you spend $300 on a toilet, you don't expect to have to have the same item repaired in 3 months - much less on two of them.

I asked them to stand by their original repairs but they would not and refused to even offer a discount when repairing the toilets the second time. I am now out a total of $960.72 - I could have purchased 9 toilets, or 5 toilets installed for that price.

I would recommend you stay away from this company unless you feel money and integrity are not important to you.
