First searched Google for a ""Minneapolis plumber"" and came across ""Hiawatha Plumbing"", who I found out later subcontracts to Ken's Sewer Drain & Plumbing (not stated anywhere on Hiawatha's website). Hiawatha's website claims they do free quotes, but after exchanging a couple emails with Ken's, was told that they do not provide free quotes. So I gave a detailed description of the work to be done (swapping a faucet on a utility sink w/ drop down water lines; pretty standard) and was told ""just did one yesterday for a lady and I bet it'll be under $350"". So you did the work yesterday but don't know the cost today? Should've been my first clue to look elsewhere...

Not sure if Hiawatha sub-contracts everything to Ken's, so I'll leave it at that since I wrote a separate review for their poor service.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any service EVER! One week into signing at my new house the sewer/pipes backed up. It was a Saturday afternoon and I called this place. Someone came out a couple hours later and snaked the drain in the basement. He said he got out 100+ feet and still couldn't resolve the problem. He said he could go get a powerful pressure tool from his company and come back to flush it out. He said it would be a temporary fix. I did not realize the temporary fix would only last until Wednesday, cost $500, and leave sewage all over my basement and the stairs leading into the basement. I had guests already over and I had to run to Target to get supplies to clean up poop all over. Why why WHY wouldn't someone at least tell me to put something down to protect my new house from nasty sewage? There was a whole hour I could have done that while he was getting the pressurized equipment. SO MAD!!! And disgusted.
