Our property management called Heys Plumbing to check on one of our main lines. Brian their technician was not only quick to resolve the issue but was extremely courteous. We have dealt with plumbers in the past and each one left a mess behind. Brian cleaned up after himself and made sure to wipe his feet before entering and exiting. Highly recommend.

I've used Heys Plumbing over the past 8 or 9 years and have noticed a disintegration in service with each passing year. I don't know if they are hiring less qualified plumbers or what but if you need anything more than BASIC plumbing (like unclogging a drain, for instance), DON'T call these guys. You'll end up with a 20-something year old dude that knows next to nothing about plumbing. Two incidences in the past 2 years made me realize that I cannot and will not ever use these people again.

And here's why:

About 2 years ago my kitchen faucet was leaking. I called Hey's and they came out the next day. They fixed the leaking. But what I DIDN'T realize was that it was LEAKING UNDERNEATH THE SINK and even though they went UNDER the sink many times during the process of fixing my faucet, they never said anything about the leak at all. I noticed that it started getting musty and damp under there. When I had another plumber called out (from a different company called On Call Plumbing), Jeremy (the owner) said that he couldn't believe Hey's came out and ""fixed"" the faucet and never noticed or did anything about the leak under the sink...which was OBVIOUS and pretty bad. So bad, he said, that ANY plumber who wasn't blind should have noticed it.

So, in other words, since I didn't mention it to the Hey's dude who came (the leaking under the sink), he apparently decided to turn a blind eye to it because, after all, I only called the company to fix the leak on the faucet. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Next, I had another Hey's guy come out (this was before I realized they had left me with a leak under my kitchen sink) to take a look at a bathroom faucet upstairs. He ended up selling me on some pump to get hot water upstairs faster because I was wasting too much water waiting for the shower to warm up in the morning. It was almost $2K to do this job and he told me that I needed to have an electrician install a GFI plug in my upstairs master bathroom cabinet. Fine. I did that before he did the install on the pump.

And guess what? Halfway into the job, the Hey's dude tells me that he is installing the pump somewhere else (on top of the water heater in my garage) and that I simply have to plug in this awful-looking long extension cord into a plug in my garage. The problem is that I had too many appliances and timed lights in the garage on the electrical circuit and it was already overloaded. So I had to have an electrician come back to pull wiring through my wall on the other side (from my den area) so I could actually get this pump some power! If I would have known this BEFORE he started the job, I would have just said, ""Forget it!""

Then...fast forward to now...I've been experiencing HOT WATER coming out of the COLD SIDE of ALL my faucets in the house. I had another plumber take a look (On Call Plumbing) and he said that Hey's NEVER FINISHED THE JOB installing the pump. They were supposed to install a SPLITTER to separate the hot/cold and never did. So, I have to pay for somebody else to install this since Hey's never bothered to finish the job (and I refuse to call them to ""finish it"" since they'll probably end up messing other stuff up in my house because they're not capable of doing any plumbing work in the first place).

Hey's Plumbing is a HOT MESS right now. I've been told that the owner has let the place go because he's golfing all the time (in semi-retirement) and doesn't give a hoot about what his employees are doing. So, this explains a lot about how and why their business has gone DOWN HILL progressively over the years.

I recommend you look elsewhere. Find somebody who does plumbing who is a one-man band who runs his own show and owns his own company because that's where you'll get the best service.

I live in a townhouse association. Heys was called out to my home through my association to unplug the drain. Water was backing up into the sink in the kitchen. Heys came out and attempted to unplug the drain. He wasnt sure if it was my unit or the main line. He ran the snake a long way out and determined it was blocked in the main line. When he left the water was not backing up into my sink. The next morning, i take a shower and afterwards i notice that my kitchen sinks are full of water again! Problem not solved. We let Heys know that it is still backing up and they inform us that they are going to charge us again to come back out, $202 each time. We say clearly is was not fixed because as soon as a lot of water was sent down the drain it plugged up again (wasnt even 24 hours) They told us it was fixed when they left. They are not responsible for it after they leave. The tech had run water from my refrigerator water line (low flow) and thought that would suffice. Its obviously not the same amount of water. We had to pay another plumber to come out and fix it. He used a larger snake head so that he could throughly clear the pipes of debris. Problem solved!! I would not recommend Heys plumbing as they do not stand behind their work and they try to get away with doing the least work possible instead of doing it right the first time. They are not concerned with customer service, only getting your money. They will not be coming back to my house again. Beware of doing business with shady companies like Heys Plumbing.

My disabled parents had their water heater go out over the weekend and I was not in town to help. I called Jets Plumbing and Dale had his guys out there same day. After inspecting the old water heater, his guys suspected that it might still be under warranty, which it was. They helped my father get the unit replaced and he only had to pay for labor which was beyond fair. I would not hesitate referring Heys Plumbing to all of my friends and family.

All I can say is wow!!!!
It is so refreshing to find a family owned business that cares about their clients they certainly don't treat you as a job (like most companies) but as family!! This is long overdue I have been doing business with this company for 15 years on my personal residence and in my investment properties every time I call them the first thing they do is ask about me and the family second thing they do is see how they can help me. John Heys and His son Dale this is their craft and Profession and that's how they have treated every job I've ever done with them no matter how small it is. Their staff is a great extension of them always polite, courteous and clean. You can tell that it is also their profession.. I don't write these because I believe everyone should do their job well !! But every once in a while you come across a company, That it just needs to be mentioned about, and this Heys pluming is that one !!if you need plumbing I would certainly recommend this company..

I have been using Heys plumbing for years both at my home and my office. They have installed tank less water heater, kitchen and bathroom sink and sewer issues as well as installing water heaters at 2 of my offices. ALL performed with the utmost professionalism and courtesy of our home and our time. I would refer John and his son Dale and all their employees with full confidence. 5 stars all the way!!
