It's hard to judge the level of service we received from this plumbing and heating firm because they did a super-rushed job and departed in A half hour. But the hourly rate--$2,370--left us reeling.
We are a small, self-managed coop in Midtown East with separate boilers for each floor-through unit. After some delays in responding, Mr. Nadile submitted a proposal of $395 per boiler for a checkup that would include ""operation of zone valves, safeties and controls, vacuum burner box and draft."" Three apartments signed up, and Mr. Nadile asked for the checks in advance. Two employees showed up on time and seemed competent but in a huge hurry. One was dispatched to each apartment to turn on thermostats while the second remained in the boiler room. Each check took just 10 minutes. On their way out, the crew rattled off a list of things they had checked but it seemed like no one could have worked that fast. We protested that a 10-minute checkup should not be billed at $395, especially since we'd done the job of coordinating and pre-arranging access to all three apartments at the same time--so less travel time and fewer parking hassles--but Mr. Nadile rejected any reduction in the fee: $1,185 for 30 minutes. All in all, we felt taken.

We had a flood in our basement after hurricane Ida. Our hot water heater stopped working. Hertler/Nadine came and fixed it. They were very professional!

I wish I could put zero stars. Disgusting, rude employee screaming at me and my children ""move your f*cking car"" as I'm pulling out of my driveway. Then pulled the work van next to me and continued screaming at me with my children in the car. Not the impression you want to give the local community of your business. Will never use.

5 STARS all the way! I used Hertler for a full gut reno in Glendale, Queens (2 bathrooms, kitchen, all New hot/cold water and sewer) plus an oil to gas conversion. Very professional, very responsive, clean work and done right for a fair price. Since then, I have recommended them to a number of neighbors and they have assisted with jobs big and small (clogged drains, backed up sewer, gas leak, etc). All referrals have been super pleased with their work and service. I will gladly use them again in the future.

I've used them several times in our home and in our rental property. We renovated a bathroom and the contractor, whom we love, used Nadile as the ""master plumber"" for the job. Since then, they have had to come out to clean up the shoddy work done by our former plumber. Dishwasher leaks, fridge leaks, toilet leaks, leaky faucets. We've had it all. They are reasonably priced, they always show up, and they always fix the leak. I have even texted a video of my non-functioning toilet and they helped me fix it over the phone. No charge. I recommend them without reservation.

Professional very hardworking plumbers! We had a new boiler installed yesterday; Mike, Jose and Tommy showed up yesterday morning and worked very hard all day. All the work was done in a very professional manner. When I called for an estimate Ralph called me right back to set up an appointment to look at our old boiler.
