My warranty company American Home Shield selected Hers and His Plumbing to handle a leak from an upstairs bathroom that was causing damage to the ceiling in the garage. The first time they came out, the guy replaced the wax ring around toilet and said that would fix it. The second time a different guy came out and doubled up the wax ring and said nothing is getting through this. Two weeks went by and I thought great no leak so I'm going to treat the ceiling stain and repaint. I still have the leak!!! This time the company has CHANGED IT'S NAME TO 1ST CALL PLUMBING. The guy that came out said Hers and His Plumbing went out of business. The invoices are the EXACT SAME just different company name. Turns out after cutting a hole in my freshly painted ceiling, it was NEVER the wax ring. Now I have damage to plywood, sheet rock, insulation and need a mold inspection!!! NONE of which is covered by American Home Shield because it's considered ""secondary damage"". The only reason there is secondary damage is because it was not fixed properly 7 months ago!!! So now I have a hole in the ceiling AND the leak (from the bathtub handle) which is not something 1st Call Plumbing will fix and need another company to come and give me an estimate to repair ""secondary damage"" that I have to pay for out of pocket!!!

We were referred to Hers and His plumbing through our home warranty. We had a stopped up bathtub drain that we could not unclog. The plumber came to our house, did not enter the crawlspace to look at the plumbing and left after walking round the house for 5 minutes. We then got a call from our warranty company explaining that the claim had been denied because we did not have a p-trap on our bathtub. The plumber had explained this to our warranty company and collected the $60 call out fee from us. I hired rotorooter plumbing and they found a p-trap on the bathtub and charged me $700 to replace the plumbing. I am disgusted that Hers and His did not inspect the problem sufficiently, collected the call out fee and gave a false report to our home warranty company which cost me a lot of money. Hers and His also told me that they would fix it themselves outside of our warranty for $900.

I, like others who have posted, was referred to this company by my home warranty company, 2-10. I have a steady leak that is starting to get under my hardwood floors, so it somewhat of a bug deal. When I called they set me up an appointment for the next day and said they would arrive between 11am and 2pm on a Saturday. When Saturday came I waited until a little after 2, and when the plumber never arrived I called to see what was going on. The lady that answered the phone was incredibly rude to me and said that they didn't come because I didn't answer when they called. It was Saturday and I normally keep my phone off when I'm at home, and I was never told that they would call when in route. Even though the lady was extremely rude, I asked if there was anyway they could still come out because my hardwood floors are being ruined. To this she told me it was my own fault for not answering and that no one would come to Monday. At this point I was pretty upset and told her that if they were not willing to come out that day then I would find somebody else. To this she coldly told me good luck and hung up the phone. I would have no problem with this company if they just told me after I set up the appointment that I had to answer their phone call or they would cancel my appointment. But they didn't, and instead treated me rudely. I don't know why 2-10 home warranties still uses this company. They obviously don't care about their customers or treating others with respect.

Hers and His was chosen as a contractor by 2-10 Home Warranty to repair/replace a leaking water heater. This was on 12/20. The technician (plumber) came out on December 23. I was not told how the system/timeline worked. At 3:30PM he decided ""yep the water heater is shot, leaking from the bottom. I was informed that he could do nothing that day because they don't buy from stores that sell cheap equipment and then named Home Depot and Lowes. He stated that all other stores were closed. Nope not at 3:30 on 12/23. He said he'd get back to me on Friday 12/26. I called His and Hers and stated I wasn't happy with the service or the fact that the plumber seemed to be trying to upsell services that are offered by a friend and not by his company. ""No"" again. Just fix or replace it. In the meanwhile a friend and I got a cap to slow the leak. I was later told by the plumber that he didn't carry pipe caps in his truck. Seems to me that is like a painter without a brush. I've been around plumbers a good deal of my life and have a good idea of what they carry. I set the day aside, thinking he'd have the replacement. NO. He called me and informed me that 2-10 insisted on ordering the replacements themselves. He said the replacement would be here on Monday 12/29. Nope not a call. Finally I called Hers and HIs for an update. ""We are going to ask the plumber if it came in and get back to you."" Guess not getting back to me meant that it wasn't in. On Tuesday 12/30, I called both Hers and His as well as 2-10 warranty and expressed displeasure on the service (or thus far lack thereof) the lack of keeping the customer up to date without prompting, etc. Basically 2-10 and His and Hers pointed the finger at each other. 2-10 claimed at that time that on Friday they had authorized to get the needed equipment locally. Hers and His said the opposite.
I'd like to be able to say nice things about the work of the plumber himself but can't at this time. As of today, I called His and Hers to ask where the replacement was. It's in town, but that plumber isn't working today. ""Is there someone else you can send to get this job finished? I need a receipt of repair before I can even begin to ask for any adjustment on the waste water portion of my utility bill (waste water use is determined by the use of fresh water, a lot of which has drained into the soil and probably back to the Tennessee River without going through the waste water system.
I'd say IF you are covered by 2-10 and they assign Hers and HIs as a contractor, call 2-10 immediately and state that you want a different contractor. No guarantee the other one (if they even have one on their books to send) will do a better job, but at least It won't likely be delayed nearly 2 weeks.

My home warranty company sent Hers and His plumbing out. It was pretty obvious these guys just wanted to collect the $60 service fee. The tech spent about 5 min looking for a main line clean out and then said he needed to call the warranty company. Spent about 30min in his van and then came back to tell me the warranty didn't cover the clog because it was outside the house. I corrected him, the kitchen drained fine and the bathrooms were backing up. Since the sewage line exits near the kitchen, it's obvious the clog was between the bathroom and kitchen. The tech stuck his head in the crawl space to verify and agreed the sewage line exited near the kitchen. He then informed me that it was against company policy to bring any equipment inside the house and that he couldn't get on the roof. So after misdiagnosing the problem and then giving me a list of reasons he couldn't fix the issue, he admitted he couldn't do anything even if I agreed to pay the full cost of the repair. We had a licensed plumber out the next day and he had the main line cleared within 20 min of arriving.
Would not recommend.

My warranty company picked this plumbing company for the major clog we were having. To start with, they were an hour later than the timeframe we were given. My husband explained the problem to him and showed him the bathrooms. Then the technician immediately went outside, did not touch anything in the house, run the water or anything. He walked around the outside of our house twice, peeked into the crawl space, and then advised that we do not have an outside, ground level cleanout. He then went to his truck and was there for about 30 mins on the phone. We are clearly not the only people ever to not have a ground level cleanout. When he returned, he informed us that the warranty company said it was not covered since we do not have the ground level cleanout. If that is the case, we obviously still need the issue to be fixed so my husband asked him how much it would be. He said, there was nothing he could do. When my husband was not happy with that response he said that he didn't want to bring the tools into the house to remove the toilet because it would cause a mess in the floor. It seemed like he was just trying to find a reason to do nothing from the very beginning. Regardless of whether we have to pay for it out of our own pocket or it makes a messin the floor, we would still need the issue resolved if we want to be able to use our toilets! I would never recommend this company.

Working through a Home Warranty service that did not want to let them cut into the wall. I did not mind paying for the additional money, but they just left. The plumber said he would have his boss call me, but haven't heard from him either. I tried to call several numbers for them this morning, but just get an automated phone system response and sent to voicemail.
Instead of working through the issue with me, they got their money and left. Well...so much for CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
I'm not impressed and would not recommend or use them myself. There are too many good hardworking plumbers in the area to deal with some franchise plumbing outfit looking to make a quick buck without doing any real plumbing work.

Horrible. Slow service and wouldn't give an update on time they would be here so I had to sit home half the day waiting. When they finally did show up, barely looked at the problem toilet and stated it was not covered under our home warranty. Then proceeded to try and sell me another price to fix the problem and would have to come back another day ( so I could wait another half day for them to show up). They wanted an additional 200 dollars to fix the problem. Called another plumber who fixed the whole thing in no time for $40 bucks. What a rip off and would NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!

We were referred to Hers and His Plumbing from a home warranty. Our experience with this company has been TERRIBLE. The guy who came out to do some simple work that the service fee would have covered cut a major pipe under the house without asking me if I wanted the part replaced, thus I now have a bill for 250 bucks or no water to the house. I didn't need or want the part swapped. I have gone under the house to look at his work and it is leaking and the water pressure in the house is now too low. I have called Hers and His Plumbing 2 times since and gotten an unfriendly woman on the phone who promised me John the service manager would call me right back after he got off another call. He has not called me back yet and this has been going on for over a month. The original plumber was friendly but I believe incompetent because his other work has caused a leak into our downstairs ceiling and he was potentially not honest by cutting a pipe and swapping a part without my agreement. (I was right there in the house if he would have asked I would say NO, but after he cut it there was nothing I could do but let him finish). I would not use this company again even with the home warranty service.

Terrible plumbers! Not professional, always arrive super late and are not successful at fixing simple problems.
