I had a tech from hers and his come to my house to inspect my leaking water heater. My home warranty company picked the company, home protect. The first visit Milan said I had a roof leak and left. Well I had just had a new roof put on and I called the roofer to inspect for this leak. None was found and I called and asked for a re visit from hers and his. Milan once again came except now he says my water heater is leaking and I need to pay $847 out of pocket to bring the everything up to code. Well I said I would have to think about that. The home warranty agreed to pay for a new heater but not for the code violations. I have now had a local code inspector come to the house and he has reported that everything Milan claimed was wrong was completely incorrect. Milan lied to defraud us out of almost $900! When I called hers and his to complain I got the run around and could not even talk to a mgr! I live in the Memphis, TN area. If you are thinking about using this company, think again!!
Hers and His is always so responsive. We had a kitchen sink disaster right after Christmas and Hers and His plumbing was the fastest to respond to my call and the fastest service. Wes was our technician and he was courteous and helped resolve our issue in no time. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing help.
I would not even give them 1 star. No customer service or care.
First and foremost, I have a home warranty that specifically uses this company. On Sunday, November 29th, we had a large amount of water pour out onto our floor from under the kitchen sink. We would estimate it to be about 2 gallons of water. I immediately placed a claim with our warranty. The next day, the warranty company emailed the information that Hers and His would contact me to schedule a time to come out to check out the situation. I waited three business days before calling the company myself. They were scheduled to come December 10th. The large water ""leak"" occurred two more times. The plumber came out- nice guy, but within two minutes of looking under the sink, he determined it was the water faucet that was causing the leak. I was confused as I had examined underneath the sink in search of the leak, and the faucet never leaked, nevertheless, poured water. I told him this, and also explained the amount of water in hopes he could explain how it could be the faucet. He said it was rotted, and that the amount of water was just build up before it finally poured out.
I am a 24 year old woman. I know NOTHING about plumbing. When a professional who informed me he makes $90k a year says it is the faucet, I'm going to believe he knows what he's talking about. My warranty does not cover faucets. I had a $75 deductible I had to pay no matter what. He then charged me $292 for a new faucet, the removal of the old faucet, and installation of the new. (Yes, I now know this was way over priced and should have had a family member do it for way less, but again, I know nothing about plumbing or prices or anything!) I paid $367 thinking this was fixed.
The very next evening, Friday the 11th, approximately 2 gallons of water spewed out from underneath the sink. This time we see it. The dishwasher draining hose is loose.
The following Monday, December 14th, I contacted my warranty company and Hers & His. Hers & His said they had to wait for the paperwork from my warranty company to schedule a second visit. It is now Tuesday the 22nd. I have had no one call me from Hers & His. We had another plumber come investigate. He said there is no physical evidence of any faucet ever leaking. And compared to our warped cabinet floor that has to be replaced, there would be some sort of evidence of rotting and/or leaking. This second plumber also asked if the plumber from Hers & His showed me the rotted faucet and also asked where it was. I was never shown the rotted faucet, and the plumber from Hers & His took the old faucet with him. We tightened the dishwasher hose for a temporary fix. I did not want to fix it entirely as I wanted Hers & His to come back and see it, fix it, and admit they made a mistake and refund me.
While calling today (December 22nd), the lady on the phone said they no longer service the area I live in. I told her regardless someone needed to come out immediately. (The pour happened again. Our temporary fix is fading.) I did get a video of the leak, though. She offered tomorrow between 2:00 & 5:00, but being the holidays, we will be out of town. I told her I needed to speak with the manager because I should have been called, scheduled, and the problem should have already been fixed last week. I asked her why no one had contacted me since my warranty company had resent a new claim due to a failure on their behalf. She said it wasn't her department. I said, ""It never is."" I told her to take my name and number and have her manager call me tomorrow. She said, ""Ok."" I asked what her name was before she preceded to hang up on me.
I have called my warranty. The have called a 3rd time leaving a voice mail for an update of my claim, and to conclude why I have yet to be contacted. I will NEVER use this company again. My warranty company also knows this. They agreed to use a different plumbing company if any future issues arise.
The only reason I'm leaving 1 star is cause you can't leave 0. This place flat out LIED to me and my husband. We called them in September to have them look under our house because it started to smell funny. They did and told me that I had multiple pipes under my house that were rusted through. That I needed a new vapor barrier, that I had just had put in 6 months before and that the drain to the bathtub was completely off. We had someone else come out for a second opinion and guess what the DIDNT FIND. -Any- of the things Hers and His said. Nothing. Not the drain off of the tub. Not multiple pipes that were draining under our house. Nothing. They did find 1 pipe that needed to be replaced and that's it. A $3,000 job turned into a $100 fix. I will never use this company again. Ever.
Through my Home warranty a plumber was sent to look at a toilet which he removed and saw that the pipe was cracked, this plumber left my toilet in the middle of the room and apparently vanished off the face of the earth. Weeks later they sent Hers & His who took a quick look a few pics and called my home warranty company and told them it looked like a DIY job gone wrong. I had explained 3x what had happened and just blew me off in a rude manner....will never use this company!
Linda G.Would not recommend this company. Referred to them by American Home Shield for 2 repairs on house we moved into a month ago. For first repair of water heater, the tech was excellent. He came the next day and replaced the element in our water heater. For the 2nd repair, we contacted AHS on a Sat, but the tech could not come until Mon. It was a small leak so there was no hurry. On Mon, the tech found that the previous homeowner had put a clamp on a pipe and sprayed it with foam. He removed all the foam to find the leak which left the water bubbling slightly from the pipe. He quoted $1500 to repair the pipe not including fixing our tile floor or the drywall and baseboard of which AHS would only pay $1000 for everything. The worst part was he couldn't fix it until Fri because he said he needed to go home to SC for personal reasons (his company said he needed to rent equipment when they called to confirm). He told us we would need to decide whether to leave the water on or off because in FL, houses built before 2000 can only be shut off at the street with a special tool. We decided to leave it on since we just moved from PA and had nowhere else to stay. He recommended laying towels. Fortunately, we were able to locate an on / off valve beside our house after he left and use it to turn on the water for showers, etc. The tech arrived Friday and spent about 2 hours jack hammering our floor. He asked us to turn the water on and off a few times while he yelled from the closet where the pipe was. At one point, he asked if he could fill the hole back up with sand instead of concrete which we declined because we wanted to put the tile back down. After almost 3 hours, he said he was unable to proceed because he had found a 3rd leak. He would take the $1000 from AHS and we really owed the additional but he wouldn't blame us if we didn't pay it. We said he couldn't just leave us again with no water to which he had no response except he couldn't proceed and we probably needed to replumb. He said it probably wouldn't be more than $6000. We asked if he could give an exact quote. He said he didn't have time. We asked when he could come back if we wanted it done. He said he didn't know when he'd have the manpower. As we were calling Hers and His, he packed his things and left not even shutting our garage door. When we turned the water on, it now fills the pit he made in 5 seconds. He left our toilet disconnected and the pit still open. His company said a manager would call in 5 min. 10 min later, they said she would call in 5. 20 min later she called and said she needed to talk to the tech. 4 hours later we called back and she didn't remember what was going on with us because she had so many things going on and she would need to call the tech. At this point, we were very frustrated because it was almost 3 on a Friday and we had no water after having limited water for a week. She called back and said they will not be back. AHS paid them the $1000 and they are done. We believe the tech either misdiagnosed how serious the issue was or unintentionally made the issue worse with his jack hammering. We understand things happen but we feel it was more than he could handle or he would have gone out of his way to get the job of replumbing the house. His company seems to feel like they got $1000 out of it so they're happy. Very frustrated that Hers and His accepted payment for a job they didn't complete and left worse than when they started. Now we are heading into the weekend with no quote and no idea when we can get someone here to replumb. With no water, we will need to get a hotel in the meanwhile with 2 dogs and a son who starts at a new school on Monday. Not to mention cleaning up the mess he left. Gave one star only because the 1st tech was excellent. If you call Hers and His, hopefully you will get him and not Jason.
As bad as it gets. I don't ever recall talking to worst customer service folks. These guys make Comcast look like they have good customer service. They first scheduled a 4 hour window of arrival. After waiting for them all day they called to inform me that they will not send anyone. When I explained that rescheduling does not work for me, they said they will have a tech that is close by call me to try to come in at the same day. Later, I got a second call from the most rude unaccommodating representative telling me that I have been rescheduled to a different day and that talking to their techs directly is against their ""policy."" Somehow they believe that their time is the only time of value. If I ran my business like this, I would have been begging in the streets a long time ago. Avoid like the plague!
Billy was right on time, fixed everything quickly and explained everything patiently so I could avoid future problems, Great tech,
Gena T.There is not anything much worse than your sewage backing up into your bathtub. I was very pleased with the service provided. David was very friendly and got the problem fixed in no time.
Service was excellent. The only issue was scheduling the call, but that wasn't the technician's fault.
