The day after Christmas my tankless waterheater broke and I needed it replaced right away. I called no fewer than five plumbers and the only one who called me back was Herrera Plumbing. They came out the very next day first thing in the morning and installed new unit AND upgraded all my gas and water lines to the unit as the current ones were inadequate. Super neat, tidy job. Cleaned up afterwards and checked all of the faucets in the house before leaving. Carlos and his son Luis do great work at a very reasonable price. I've been remodeling my house for the last 4 years. Yes, it's taken me this long because hiring the right people is key! I've seen it all, and ""paid"" for it. It's a universal truth, ""Good work is hard to find!"" Many of my encounters, and experiences hiring tradesman, handymen, licensed plumbers or electricians has been less than fortunate, as many perform low level work and charge high rates. Even decent referrals come at outrageously high prices! Then, the consistency, reliability, and honesty is something further we have to contend with.

Below describes my experiences with Carlos:
Carlos is very professional and hands on. He doesn't give outrageous quotes, or sends other people to work for him. He shows up and follows through.

He's a hard worker, shows up on time and finishes the job when he says he's going to. If things come up, he communicates well with you. He's very honest and reliable and that is priceless. And yes, he gives free estimates. He is unlike any other plumbing professional, in that he is kind, well experienced, and delivers a fair quote.

I will definitely use him again in the future. Thank you Carlos for delivering excellent service.

Carlos is a nice guy, his work is clean and efficient, but we greatly overpaid for service we had to finish with another plumber. The problem was a sink that was backed up and thus leaking through a cracked pipe. I suggested fixing the clogged drain first and if that works, then replacing the pipe. He did the opposite so we then learn the drain is clogged and could take thousands to fix when all that had to be done is reroute the kitchen pipe to another drain.

In short, he didn't look at all the options and went straight for the easy money, leaving us with a now useless new pipe and out $500.

Unlike some, Carlos gives free estimates and recommendations. I called him because my water heater had gone out, and I was hoping to change to a tankless water heater.

He came out and took a look around and found that to install a tankless water heater, we would somehow have to get a 3/4"" gas line to the space. This would have been more expensive than it was worth, so I opted to just replace my current water heater with another.

He came out and did the work quickly, neatly, and at a good price.
