SH sent this company to my home for a second opinion from another company that came and did work in my home and they did worse than the first people Brent came to my home and was very rude and did not fix the problem and asking for more money all this company wants his money but they don't want to fix the problem do not use this company what so ever unless u want to get screwed like I hv ..

Our water heater was leaking and this is who our American Home shield sent out. My husband put in the order Saturday and they came out Monday (even though it was Labor Day) and looked at everything. Apparently our old water heater was 24 years old and not permitted so the warranty covered a new water heater but we still had to pay $500 out of pocket getting everything taken care of. Better than worrying about it later. The guy did a good job and we were happy with the work? I'll update later if any issues.

This was a horrible experience. We had to use Heros because they were the contracted plumber through American Home Shield. We put in the work request on Wednesday night.
The first issue we came across was that they weren't going to be able to come and look at the leak until Saturday. Meanwhile, I either have to have the water off to my house or allow it to keep leaking and damaging my wall. Despite the fact that this was an emergency leak, Mary wasn't helpful at all with scheduling and just kept telling me they were booked, unless AHS expedited our work order.
Eventually, I got lucky and Mary called to tell me there was a cancellation for Thursday evening.
When he arrived, the plumber barely looked for the leak in our crawl space, when he ""saw"" it, he said that he couldn't get to it (""because other pipes are in the way""). Next, he told us that WE would have to cut a hole in our wall or our floor. This is the report he sent to AHS, who then promptly said they wouldn't cover the cost of creating an access point. He went home, without fixing anything, because AHS would have to authorize the work. We were left to wait until Friday.
I won't argue the reasons why I believe AHS should have covered such a cost, if the plumber said it was required. This isn't a review of AHS.
It is, however, a review of this plumbing service and they gave an AWFUL assessment of the situation.
When we contacted our own plumber (from Bakersfield Plumbing) to assess the problem, he was able to locate the leak, identify that it was the line running to our refrigerator, and quickly found that the line could be accessed underneath our kitchen sink.
Absolutely NO HOLES were required to fix the problem, and he had it done within 2 hours from the time I called them.
Heros Plumbing and AHS would have had two teachers, with no home repair expertise, take a saw to our home rather than do the work they're paid to do.
Perhaps Heros offers better service to clients that call on their own, rather than the clients they have to serve via AHS. But if that's true, there's little integrity to a business like that.

Garbage company. If you want excuses as to why they can't do their job, call Hero's plumbing. They'll give you excuses all day long.

This is the worst company to mankind! AMERICAN home shield sent these guys out months ago and they obiousoy didn't fix the problem. I made a new request for repair and they sent out some individual with tattoos all over hiS face and head that were gang affiliated, I have a huge leak undernwath my sink that has traveled all the way to my closet and created mold that's been happening for months before the sink even broke (of which we do not use) since it's only two of us and that's the guest bathroom that no one uses. I immediately called the home warranty and told themI'm not accepting thiis mans diagnosis, but I'm no expert but I know that the faucet wasn't the only issue and that they neeeded to send someone else to fix the huge issue in my home. The man becomes really irritated irritated when he heard me speaking to the home warranty and I really believed he was going to cause me harm. He calls someone else over and they just leave. I keep complaining to the home warranty and they say that the worker said I i cussed him out and argued with him, which absolutely DID NOT HAPPEN. I call today to ask if it's typical for tHeir employers to lie on reports and this chick MARY answers and tells me it's not a lie and that I did cuss and create an argument, as if she was there. She was totally rude and had no type of customer service. I will be filing a complaint with the better busiNess bureau and STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!

This business fixed my plumbing concerns efficiently and did an excellent job. The technician, Brent, was especially kind and helped me understand what was required and why. He listened and explained how the problems affected the faucet and toilet operations. I recommend Hero's Plumbing and especially their technician; Brent. I will ask for him again in the future.

When American Home Shield dispatched Heros Plumbing to repair my water heater I immediately looked on Yelp and began to panic a bit because of the negative reviews.
Don't be fooled by the negative reviews left by people that failed to read the email sent from AHS explaining what's covered and what's not. Getting you water heater up to code is the owner's responsibility before any services can be provided.
Brent was our service technician and was very pleasant and attentive to our questions and concerns. He fixed our thermostat and valve that was causing water to consistently flow out of the over flow hose on the side of the house.
I would recommend this company to friends and family and even though I hope I don't need them again anytime soon they will be my go to for plumbing needs.

I used Heros because they were dispatched by AHS. I had a tiny drip in my root cellar that I was worried about. They sent out a journeyman, without appropriate tools to saw the pipe. It shook the whole house when he did so and knocked so much junk down the pipe that it plugged both my dishwasher and my kitchen faucet. He said those were separate repairs and he was not responsible. We cleaned the filter at the base of the faucet, and the aerator but I had to replace the faucet because it lost flow somehow. He turned the water back on, put away all his tools, and was going to drive off when I heard the water spraying in the basement. He never even checked after turning on the water. He then put on a fitting that failed in several months and flooded my basement. Longer story short, the awesome plumber from HPS who ended up coming because I refused to have Heros come out again said they aren't allowed to use those connectors because they always fail. Of course, I had to swamp out a flooded basement, living with the water damage, because AHS doesn't pay for that, and pay the additional service visit fee to AHS for having someone repair a problem caused by their contractor, Heros. So thumbs down for both AHS and Heros in the plumbing arena.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. My shower faucet broke late on Friday night and spewed water out all over tub and bathroom. I had to turn off main water supply. I could see that this was a repair for a professional even though I am a YouTuber DIYer. I thought to myself well it's time to use my home warranty plan. Read reviews about AHS and figured here is where I will find out how they operate. I went online to set up a weekend emergency plumbing repair and crossed my fingers. Guess what got up Saturday morning to a phone call from AHS saying the plumber was on his way..Not 5 mins later Mario from Heros plumbing shows up at the door. Man that was fast. He asks what is wrong and as I show him. He says no problem I have the parts on my truck and have the know-how to finish the job. He treated me more like a friend than a service repairman. Showed me every step he needed to take and in less than no time I had water again. AHS and Mario from Hero's plumbing you are all my hero's. Better service than I could have paid hundreds of dollars for. If anyone is reading this and on the fence about a home warranty plan with AHS. Trust this guy in telling you they are worth their weight in gold. GET IT. Thank you AHS and Mario...

Very impressed with the service. Brent fixed the bathroom leaks which I had originally requested through AHS. I had asked about my patio faucet that was leaking (which I knew would not be covered under AHS) and he got an estimate right away for me and had it fixed in no time. Fast friendly service!! Great job~
