They should be called ZERO Plumbing, instead of Hero's Plumbing. And I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. My home warranty company dispatched them for a leaky pipe in the wall, and Hero's plumbing misdiagnosed the problem. I called the warranty company back and they sent Honest Plumber, who was the real hero and came to the rescue. They correctly assessed the problem and fixed it. So glad I didn't trust what Hero's Plumbing said was wrong!

I came home on a Friday afternoon at 4:30 to find my water heater leaking all over my garage. I called America Home Shield and they dispatched Heroes Plumbing. The technician immediately cut open my insulation to the water heater and said I needed a new water heater. He proceeded to tell me my water heater was not up to California code and I would have to pay out-of-pocket $635(New bracing straps$99, cement board$99, sediment trap$98, T&P headline w/union, permit & processing$150) in order to make it California code compliant and those costs we're not covered under my current home warranty contract. He said they did not take credit cards and I would have to give him a check in order get on the schedule for first thing on Monday morning. I felt uneasy about this but what was I supposed to do on a Friday evening with no water heater and my home warranty company sent these people out so I trusted them. Come to find out they marked up all the above work so they could charge me & my warranty co. I contacted Hero's & asked for the owner george kubik to call me to explain the outrageous charges & was told he was conveniently out of state. I asked for a return call or email & owner never responded. I have filed a complaint with AHS & will be reporting them to BBB. I'm disgusted they took advantage of me & could care less about quality customer service. By the way you can get a 40 gallon gas water heater for around $600-700.

My niece called Heros because her toilet was stopped up. A plumber came out and was grumpy because the only way to clear the line was to go on the roof and run the snake down the standpipe. He wanted to charge $472 for the job. And he wanted to argue about what needed to be done and abused my niece for getting it clogged in the first place. What a jerk! I called Robo Plumbers who came out on a Saturday, ran the snake, were very pleasant and professional and charged $245 even though it was a weekend job. Hmm. Guess what plumber we'll call next time.

They were chosen by my home warranty company. The two guys sent out were quick to say it was not covered by the warranty then asked how much would it cost they said they did not want to give a quote. I think they were very lazy honestly waste of my time a money. I would have been better off trying to pick some up at Home Depot. I would never refer them period.

Mario was our technician. We used our American Home Shield warranty for a toilet that wouldn't stop running, and our toilet is built under a counter that prevented me from making any repairs.
Mario found a way to use tools and get the problem fixed, and was nice enough to check every other faucet and shower and toilet in the house. Everything was good. Mario was phenomenal. A great first home warranty experience as well.

Amazing service! Our hot water heater went out and Heros Plumbing had somebody at our house within minutes. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They had out water heater repaired and were on their way within 15 minutes! Thank you guys for such great service :)

I had a major leak in the kitchen roof. I informed my Home Shield and first thing this morning the Plumbers office called. Mary was so pleasant and made appointment for me right away and she even called me before a Tech came to the house. About 15 mins later Mario came and he was just as pleasant and fixed the leak and poor Guy I have 10 feet ceiling and not to much room in attic but he took care of the problem and it was fixed right away! GREAT SERVICE thank you so much! I will recommend them to everyone. Thank you for understanding I have 4 kids and with no water and your roof leaking it is so overwhelming and I was worried sense I never used the Home insurance but it was easy like I said and the problem got fixed in a perfect timing. Thank you again and again!

Worst experience ever! Our home warranty sent them out a month ago for clogged plumbing. The tech has been out twice and still hasn't even opened the clean out or snaked the lines. He spent half an hour scraping calcium deposits off of our toilet. What does that have to do with sewage backing up into the tubs?!?! Incompetent & useless plumbers. Also the customer service is non existent. The woman answering the phones seems annoyed to have to schedule or even answer the phone. She seems to have a miserable life. Poor thing.

These guys are only interested in their contracted insurance clients approval.. They service American Home Shield home warranty, and try to get by with the most minimal repair possible, instead of doing a quality job for the homeowner. They say this is policy, but a bad one I feel.

So I was totally worried about this call through my warranty service AHS. You really don't have options, it's not like pick company a, b, or c. It's you get who you get. After reading reviews I knew that I needed to form my own opinion.
Mario showed up and was very friendly, quick, and honest. I did have an issue and had to talk to the owner George who isn't the friendliest but I get he's busy and being nicey nice isn't a priority.
Best advice from them, just make sure you're clear on what you need done and make sure there aren't any discrepancies or missed items when you place the request through the warranty company.
Best advice to them is that not all customers are jerks or understand the process, please be a little patient with us laywomen and I guess some laymen.
Mario was really knowledgeable and had very organized tools, which is usually not the case for most technicians. Made me feel like he had pride for himself and his work. I am waiting for parts for some of the stuff and the other issue was fixed quickly. After this experience, I'd choose and trust Mario at Heros Plumbing even if it wasn't a forced option. He wasn't sketchy or lazy and I feel safe enough to leave someone else home when he returns to finish... which is a lot for me because I am usually the one that needs to approve work or is usually a hard person to please.
