Called them 3 times got their answering service. The very nice lady said someone would call us back. No one ever did! Don't waste your time calling this company. Terrible company!
I wish I had read the reviews for this company before placing my annual service call. Tech came out and told us a part needed to be replaced on our furnace. This particular part was a common part that needed to be replaced however, we should turn our heat off due to a possible carbon monoxide leak. I was told he would have to order the part and would try to have it sent overnight. It seemed odd to me that a part that is known to be a common problem and could cause carbon monoxide leaks would not be stocked for the techs. To make matters worse this situation happened in the dead of winter on a Friday which meant that my part would have to be sent overnight for a Saturday repair. After going the day and night without heat and no follow up from Heritage I placed a call to see what was going on. Much to my surprise I was told that the part ""MIGHT"" be in on Wednesday! I asked to get the part number so I could research it myself and was told that customer service did not have that info. When I wanted to speak to a manager I was told that Saturdays were emergency only and there was no staff available. I was very angry that the tech or customer service never followed up with me regarding the status of our repair. To me living with no heat in the winter with two kids is an emergency and I would expect better customer service from such a large company. I will not use this company again!
Laura F.Andrew C came out and did a great job helping with some post Thanksgiving water issues. I appreciate Heritage's fast response and fair pricing. He showed me how to fix it next time it happened so I wouldn't have to call for help :)
Read not just the reviews, but the rebuttals from the owner. She is correct, they are expensive, relatively convenient and polite. They even showed up on time and might know what they are doing with the furnace... The heat wasn't working correctly when they arrived and it was when they left.
The pricing however, is not just "" a little on the expensive side"" it's ridiculous! The technician obviously had professional sales training. He presented three options to fix my furnace ranging in price from $850 to almost $2000. He told me how much I'd save through efficiency and energy costs if I went with the super-deluxe package!
When I said no he moved to the scare tactics that my furnace, while working, might not be able to keep up with a really cold day if I didn't go with the outrageously priced upsells.
He was almost successful with the three options of diverting my attention from the fact that even the $850 option was double what I would have paid any other company (one that showed up without a $4000 marketing paintjob on the side of the truck). I agreed to the work and went back upstairs before I googled some furnace part prices and realized I had been taken. Live & Learn... my heat works and I know who not to call in the future.
Overall, if you heat is broken and NOBODY ELSE will come, then and only then, call Heritage and they'll fix the problem, just expect a hard sell and a high price tag.
Great service. They were very thorough and explained each step of the process when something different needed to be done.
We were quite pleased with Heritage. Especially making an appointment that work with our schedule.
Bob D.Tried to rip me off even more than I thought. Came for a 89 dollar diagnostics for my ac unit. Price changed to 170 while they were there. Figured out nothing told me that at least 400 dollars worth of parts were completely gone and maybe the $1500 computer unit. Said after the 170 they already charged me. They could charge me 1500 bucks to start but they are not are of that will fix the problem. But they think it may. I said ""why did I pay you 170 for diagnostics if you can't tell me the problem"". They said it's impossible becouse of ""inset five minutes of scam artist bull"". I ended up calling a real company. They came over and said your unyt is 3 years old. Your parts are all perfect. Your unit tipped and leaked coolant. They fixed it. Charged me 100 bucks to fill it and told me any company that said what was in there work order was either absolutely clueless and have zero idea what they are doing and try to replace most expensive parts and work there way down or they were ripping you off as hard as they could. Ac works great now. Stay away from heritage at best they have no idea what they Are doing. More than likely they are crooks trying to scam you. Worst company I have err delt with. Stay away. Bad people
I have used them twice and never more. They came over to fix a heating zone which was stuck and quoted $250.00. Then they used high pressure tactics to get me to update the dampers in the entire home to the tune of $2,000.00. They told me ""They are going to go someday you might as well replace them now to save another service call fee."" Should I get a heart transplant because someday I might have a heart-attack! Yestaerday I had a dripping water heater that is less than five years old. The part cost $18.00 and I was charged over $250.00 for a job that should take 15 minutes. After another sales pitch they tried to get me to spend $2200.00 for items that would be going soon C'mon! After speaking with several people recently they also heard of these tactics which could be close to criminal. Fixing items that don't need repair is criminal. An undercover investigation should begin on this operation.
I just had Heritage hook up a new kitchen sink drain and faucet. The work was neat and clean but the cost was absolutely insane. I was jammed up because this was the Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend and I have guests coming for dinner and I have to have a working sink. We had installed a new sink but because the old one was a double and the new one a single bowl the plumbing under had to be straightened up. This cost $1200 for about 2 hours work and $20 in parts. $600 per hour is highway robbery! The two existing shut offs I had were plastic. They quoted me an extra $500 if I want them replaced with metal valves! Apparently he was informed I was on the phone to his supervisor because he replaced those valves for free as a ""good will gesture"". These metal valves cost about $8 at the hardware store and take about 15 minutes to install. You have to bee kidding me. They do tell you the price up front. Of course if you don't have them do the work they charge you a $89 site fee. I was between a rock and a hard place so I had no other option at 3 pm on a Friday before a holiday 3 day weekend. Their plan seems to be as long as we tell the customer up front we are going to screw them it's all right when we do. I'm in the real estate business. Clients ask me every day for referrals for trades people. I will never ever recommend Heritage.
David R.GREAT COMPANY!! I saw the note on one of their replies that says Yelp orders filtered reviews worst to best. If you click through, you can see that they do in fact have a lot of positive reviews, which Yelp hides for some reason.
YES, they are expensive, but you can't get the same quality service anywhere else. If you would rather be cheap than have the job done right, call someone else.
