Company Overview

Heritage Home Service is dedicated to offering expert HVAC, plumbing, and electrical solutions to residents in Auburn, Manchester, Derry, Londonderry, Hooksett, Concord and across Southern New Hampshire, as well as parts of Massachusetts and Southern Maine. Since 1986, this family-operated company has delivered dependable solutions such as furnace repairs, air conditioning installations, heat pump maintenance, water heater replacements, drain clearing, and upgrades to electrical panels. Our skilled team guarantee on-time, superior service and transparent guidance, allowing you to experience a comfortable home—regardless of the time of year.

Heritage started as a family operation, initiated by two brothers with one truck. Now, the founders (along with their now-adult children!) manage a company with over 100 trucks that offers superior, client-centered service throughout houses in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Southern Maine.

At the heart of our business, we are a family-owned business with a longstanding track record for offering quality service at a competitive cost. Customers often mention that they see our service trucks throughout the area, which is true since it’s common that one of our technicians is also your local resident. This proximity allows us to respond promptly to assist you with your home plumbing, heating systems, air conditioning issues, and electrical services. It also allows us to preserve our commitment to excellent service.

Craig oversees Heritage along with his sibling, Steve. His children, Brad and Tyler, as well as his niece, Ashley, work together to run the company. Craig focuses on high-quality service, respectful staff, and improving the view of the plumbing industry.

Had a well pump installed,$4550........$1500 for materials if I bought it,u know they get a discount because they deal with the wholesaler, eazy, fast job, they got $750 per hour for labor,I know plumbers are expensive, but that's ridiculous

If this is Muirfield Mechanical from Boxboro, I would advise caution using this company. They installed a heat pump system and left unconnected wires and cables hanging from the attic crawl space ceiling. When asked about this they did not have much to say. I also asked about the fan operation of the system and they were not helpful.

The electrical inspector only checked the wiring to the breaker panel and I do not believe inspect the crawl space wiring.

They did not make recommendations to connect the existing oil burner to the heat pump as a two stage system which would greatly lower the electric bill in the coldest months. This is a big oversight.

When my 100 yr old father's heat was out he called the number pasted on his water heater.

(The number was for Proactive which was apparently bought out by Heritage.)
He told them that the pilot was in tight spot and to send a small technician.

The first person was too big to access the pilot area.

A second technician was able to light the pilot.

Both technicians were polite and cordial.

He spent $349 and the heat didn't work the next day.

We called another company and will not do business with Heritage again.

Just following up on a previous review. The business owner, Meghan, responded to my comment here a few weeks ago, 4 years after the service was provided and I posted my review and dissatisfaction over being charge $493 to replace a $10 toilet stop valve and $10 supply line. And the upsell. This is not an honest or serious company. As before, buyer beware. But they definitely will eventually respond to your review if even years later.

Wonderful experience, I live in a condo which requires license and insurance be sent to the HOA and it was done promptly by the office. I was contacted 30 minutes before arrival they were on their way. The drain did cleared prior to their arrival however I still wanted it checked out. It was worth the 89 dollars to have a professional to come and validate all was good, being I thought it may be my main sewer line. Chad was plumber and I understand Heritage ""Main Line"" expert. He was polite, knowledgeable, worn booties and reassured pipes looked in good working order.

Asked for a quote on a hot water heater, got told total install would be $8500, purchased my own for $500 and payed a handyman $100 to install it. Make sure to do your research and get a secound quote. These people will rip you off.

Techs were polite & prompt showing up on time if nota little early. They contact you 30 minutes by text before arrival which is helpful. Chris in the field & Jeremy in the office are valuable to this company.

Major job is delayed because they refused to coordinate with the tenant to be let into the unit after I specifically told them I wouldn't be there the day they were supposed to start and they needed to contact the tenant. He was there in the unit; they wouldn't even knock on the door without me present. Guys who showed up to do the job didn't even tell me they were refusing to do that after I texted them, so I only found out days later that they hadn't even started, when the project manager tried to get me to pay for the entire job up front and told me I needed to contact the main office to get it rescheduled. As any homeowner knows, a contractor who demands payment in full up front is running a scam, so obviously at that point I fired them and started looking for someone new.

Had Proactive Comfort taking care of all my plumbing, heating and A/C needs for years....then found out they merged with Heritage Home Services. I called for service today on one of my zones not getting heat and was told there would be a ""diagnostic fee"" of $225 just to show up. I was reminded of the last time I used Heritage to fix a $35 part on my irrigation backflow system...around $600!! I am now done with Heritage and find that many who have used them are complaining about ridiculous service fees. Check out the reviews before you engage these crooks!
