Heritage responded very quickly to our out-of-water situation. Dennis P. Worked with us on our well problem. He is very knowledgable and helpful. I will call Heritage first when we have another plumbing, heating or cooling issue.

Great for installation of our gas furnace; however, the sale of air conditioning unit we feel completely ripped off. We were told it would cool the entire upstairs. It doesn't. For $7,000 plus we expected more performance. And, it is very expensive to run because it never shuts off, no matter what the temp is.

Do not purchase any AC units from Heritage.

Had Jeremy A. do a test on my central air unit. The fan blade was spinning, that is until he arrived then the capacitor speed working. He quoted me $504, for replacing the capacitor and the diagnostics test he ran. He found other issues on my system that could have run upwards of $2000. This system is a barely used 2004 system, which seems fairly new to me. He said systems last 15yrs and that's about it.

This inspection was thorough and he was polite and even let me watch him work for the initial look at the ac.

I was recommended by local residents on the town's Facebook group to try a few other smaller businesses and I wish I had because he left me feeling my barely used system was in bad shape and needs thousands of dollars in repairs, when I'm sure just a bit of professional maintenance would do the job.

I called to make an appointment to have Heritage give me an estimate on replacing my oil burner with a new gas boiler. They had an appointment the following day so I booked it. I received an automated message an hour later confirming the appointment.

On the day of the appointment, they were supposed to arrive between 2pm and 3pm and the tech was going to call ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. I never heard from the tech and no one ever showed up for the appointment. Very unprofessional.

Its one thing if you need to reschedule. It another to just blow off the customer completely.

I will have to agree with some of the other comments here. They are really nice but I feel like I am being taken for a ride. I called for a blockage they referred me to the cesspool company then tried to sell me on a service plan. A little messed up right there.

I wanted a quote on an ac system which I requested using their online portal. They messed that up I even emailed the person who accidentally emailed me with no response then I called and got the appointment which they cancelled a few days before because they had a glitch in their system. Apparently they called me which I never received. You would have thought if I received a call like that I would call back to reschedule but they never checked on that so the day came when they were supposed to show and they didn't because of pretty poor customer service. I emailed them two hours afterwards and hey told me they called me. Hmmm then why the heck am I emailing you then? So far not too impressed.

AJ arrived right on schedule. Although he came for AC servicing he was more than happy to look into concerns I had surrounding my water heater. He explained all of the work, made recommendations and put together several pricing plans. He was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. I will definitely ask for him by name for any future HVAC needs.

While the service was excellent, I was shocked at the price for the job. It was a good 25-30% more than I should have paid. The tech that came out explained the company has flat rate pricing. If it wasn't 40 degrees in my house, and I was able to wait, I would have sent him away and shopped prices better.

Here is my week long ordeal with Heritage. Sunday morning around 2am I woke up to the sound of running water in my finished basement. I found that the the thermal expansion tank on my water heater blew and water was pouring out of the cold water feed.

Ive seen Heritage trucks around my area which advertise 24 hr emergency service and figured that since I needed a plumber right away, they would be a good choice. Gave them a call and was happy to hear that a tech would be dispatched and be at my house around 7am. He arrived on time, was very polite and after inspecting my water heater, stated that my expansion tank blew because my water heater failed and needed to be replaced. He would not just replace the expansion tank as he said it was a safety hazard. He quoted me over $3000 to replace the water heater, expansion tank, install a water detection sensor that would automatically shut off the water in case of a leak and an anti scald valve which he said was required by code. I also agreed to be signed up for an annual maintenance plan for my heating and ac which would enable him to take 15-20% of the total price.

I agreed and the work was completed the next day (Monday). Took the tech about 8hrs to install the water heater and everything seemed to be in order. The next day (Tuesday) I woke up and found the pilot light to the water heater was out. I relit it and went off to work. On Wednesday I woke up and found the pilot light to be out again. I relit it for a second time, went out to do some errands and came home about an hour later to find the pilot light went out for a third time. I immediately called Heritage explained the problem and they sent another tech out. Once the tech arrived he did some tests and told me that I had low gas pressure and I needed to call my gas company to adjust my regulator. Sooooo I called the gas company and had a tech at my house about an hour later. He immediately looked at the water heater and told me that it would never pass inspection because my house had too little airflow to support combustion for both the hot water heater and furnace. He told me that Heritage should of installed a ""passive air trap"" before they installed the water heater and the problem was not due to the low gas pressure (even though it was low and corrected) but due to poor airflow. Oh and guess what the pilot light went out again overnight.

On Thursday my wife called up Heritage and told them what the gas tech had said. They sent another tech out who agreed with the airflow situation and apologized that they did not pick up on the issue when they installed the water heater. He called in two more techs who were ventilation experts and they tried to sell me what is called a ""fan in a can"" which is basically ductwork and a blower that blows air from outside into my basement. They said this would correct the airflow problem and quoted me an additional $1200 to install it. They said that the felt bad for their mistake so after going to their truck and speaking to their ""supervisor"" they greatly reduced the price to ""work with me"" as it would normally cost around $2300. They also told me that some piping that they installed was wrong that they needed to redo. Also they said the expansion tank they just installed was leaking water and needed to be replaced. When asked how a three day old part could fail they said it must of been ""bad out of the box."" I initially agreed to the work and they told me that they would be back on Friday to finish the install.

After they left I did some research on the gas valve installed on the water heater. It seemed that the pilot going out was a common problem and the solution was to dial the temp of the water heater down a few notches. I turned the dial a couple of notches and guess what? The pilot has not gone out since. I also took a close look at the expansion tank and found that it was fine, the leaking water was coming from a ball valve shut off they had installed. I told Heritage I did not want anymore work done. They had me sign a waiver of liability stating that their was a carbon monoxide danger due to their airflow in my house. Their is a co detector 8 feet away from the water heater which has never gone off.

I will NEVER use Heritage again. Their techs while friendly are salesmen and will try and sell you everything under the sun. When you refuse they will try to use scare tactics to get you to buy their crap. They are VERY overpriced for the work they do. You can find an independent plumber to do it at a fraction of the cost. I priced out the parts they installed and feel I've been taken for a little over $1000. (That's if I needed a new hot water heater to begin with. I'm going to cancel my maintenance plan and no Heritage employee is ever stepping foot into my house again. BEWARE!
