Heads up.
First off I don't write reviews but I think others might want to be aware of my situation.
The past four years Heritage cleaned my furnace every, every, fall season. We decided to go with a different company this year which by the way we are very happy with. This new company ask me if we ever had our furnace cleaned because there is easily four years of dirt and junk inside. (He explains it never ever looked cleaned). They ask twice because they really couldn't believe it was cleaned last year or even the year prior.
So that being said, If you want to pay some good amount of $$ and not have the job done then Heritage is your place to go.

Second we got a quote from Heritage last year to get a new 40gal water heater replaced. The cost was 3X the amount as others that I got quotes from. They tried their sale pitch to add additional things to the water heater. I wouldn't trust this company and very glad we switched.

They get commissions for the sales they make.

Although we probably won't be getting a mini-split system for our bedroom based on what we learned today, I want to share that our experience with Jeff Nowell, Project Manage for Muirfield Mechanical Services, was beyond exemplary. He is extremely knowledgeable, clear, and went above and beyond in educating and helping us come to an understanding of what would make sense for us. There was absolutely no pressure.

Shopping for heat pumps can seem daunting. I chose Muirfield because:

They were one of the installers recommended by my town's energy conservation initiative
From my research, Mitsubishi seemed to be the preferred brand and Muirfield had this in stock. Some other installers did not.
Their price was competitive
They returned email and phone calls
Their installation crew seemed knowledgeable and professional
When I was ready to commit to the project, they moved very quickly. The time between my sending a deposit and a finished instillation was eight days, though this is probably quicker than usual.
After the installation, they returned in a few days to re-check the system and verify that we understood how to use it.

They made a few decisions such as placement of the cables and of the compressor, which were not quite as I expected. This was a relatively minor matter.

Muirfield Mechanical did a great job installing a gas furnace for us during a no heat situation on a Monday in March. Linda in the office was very helpful and Nate came out within 2 hours to give us an estimate. We were not current customers, yet he went out of his way to meet with us quickly.
We decided to go with Muirfield on Tuesday and Nate ordered the furnace. His install crew headed by Dan showed up first thing Wednesday morning. They completed the job in the early afternoon and we had heat again! The installers were very courteous and professional and they left the house cleaner than they found it.
Linda filed for the warranty for the furnace and thermostat that Friday, and she applied for our furnace rebate from Mass Save on Monday. Not having to worry about any of that paperwork was a bonus. We are going to move our PM contract over to Muirfield going forward and will use them in the future for any of our heating and air conditioning needs. We highly recommend them!

Muirfield did a great job installing our new heat and A/C system.
From the start, they were very professional, assessed our house's old system and recommended a very affordable new system.
Installation, including plumbing, electrical and permitting was all handled seamlessly and they installed the units without any issues.
They will also submit for any rebates the state is offering.
I could not have been happier and would highly recommend getting a quote from Muirfield Mechanical.

Had them install an AC unit. The price was very reasonable and they were very helpful in selecting the right equipment and answering all my questions. The install itself was very smooth and the crew was wonderful. It was a pleasure communicating with their Office Manager, Linda. She did all the paperwork for the registration, rebates, etc. Its just installed but the new AC has made us very comfortable. I recommend Muirfield and will absolutely work with them again.

Chris just completed a Annual Heat Pump check up. He was very thorough and explained everything as he did it.

Dave was here a few weeks back and did very nice job adding a supply vent in the bedroom and fixing up some other duct work.

The owner, Ron made sure everything was done right.

I am very happy with the Amana Heat Pump that was installed to replace a 29 year old 4 ton AC unit.

Got a heat loan for updating the boiler and HVAC system, picked Muirfield after evaluating 3 other companies (for a total of 12 system configurations).
best decision ever, they work with you on the schedule, communicate at every step of the way, and the installation is state of the art. worked with snow on the ground to get all the equipment installed, very clean installation and care throughout the house. the techs were always very informative of the current and next steps. and best of all they would go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with the system installation.
