On to the positives:

On to the negatives:
Was told that my low water pressure at hot would be investigated and that my new shower assembly could be installed at the same time. The tech said that he couldn't guarantee the water pressure but could do the shower assembly which should resolve the problem.
The price quoted to replace a customer supplied shower assembly was $980 with me having everything I thought I needed. He said it would take about 4 hours which is $245 an hour! I paid the insane amount because I wanted the work done as soon as possible and the tech seemed very nice. Hours into the job, the tech discovers that the assembly I had was missing pieces and that one of the handles wouldnt even fit, then I had to run out to buy what was missing in a rush as he found out at 4pm and the place closes at 4:30pm. He was helpful in calling the place but maybe he should have checked that he had everything he needed before starting? He called someone senior to him for advice during the problem and I could hear the brash person telling him to charge us more to come back to finish the job while the tech said we were already being charged a lot of money. Now I know to check Yelp reviews instead of going off of Google reviews as those are overwhelmingly positive while the Yelp reviews are overwhelmingly negative.

VERY OVERPRICED!

Do not bother contacting this company. First, they will not discuss any estimates over the phone, even for simple jobs. They insist on sending a technician to your home and charging $90. They will discount the fee if you choose their service, but their estimates are RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED.

They quoted replacing a cast iron steam radiator that had cracked and was leaking. The total estimate for labor only was over $1400! I told the tech that this seemed way too high based on my understanding of the work required. All he could say was that the company sets standard pricing per job.

I contacted another plumber for the job, and incredibly, he was able to provide an estimate over the phone. The job cost less than $350, which was pretty close to the estimate he gave me.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this company.

Seems like from the other reviews, ripping off their customers is a common practice. I even contacted them after the quote to see if they could provide a more reasonable quote and was told that they are more expensive because they are a big company that charges by the job, not an hourly rate. Usually big companies are able to charge less, and a 4x markup seems more than a bit excessive.

I had a very simple task - replace a shut off valve for my water line. No way it could be more than a one hour job. I was stunned when I was given an estimate for $589. I told the guy thanks but no thanks. It cost me $89 for an estimate and two hours of lost time at work. They advertise ""premium plumbing"". They sure have the premium pricing! My recommendation - stay away from Heritage Plumbing.

I received an advertising email from Heritage offering some specials.......
One was to replace a wall switch @ $59.00 - I called to confirm and spoke to a representative that told me ""Yes"" it's $59.00 for all wall switches - I explained what kind of switch I had that was broken and again she told me the ""Special"" was $59.00 - I made the appointment - Yesterday was the day - I very nice electrician came in looked at the switch and told my husband that it would cost $230.00 - when we questioned the price - he told me that that was the price and the representative that I spoke to was not an electrician and didn't know what she was talking about - when I said ""Then they shouldn't be talking to customers"" - he agreed - The switch was broken, the electrician was here, I thought that we might be able to speak to someone who would rectify the situation - so I made the MISTAKE of allowing the technician to replace the switch ( took less than 10 minutes) I wrote the check feeling very pressured - I made my displeasure well known to the technician, he told me that he would let his manager know of my displeasure and see if there was something that could be done. I followed that up with two emails to the company - I did, a couple of hours later get a voice mail message from someone named Chris who said that he was the manager - he heard that I was unhappy and was leaving for the day but would look into the matter in the morning - needless to say - he never called back - I'm sure my check is already in the bank......no one has answered either one of my emails.....
Extremely disappointed and feel ""RIPPED OFF"" - BEWARE of this company - their deceptive practices, uncaring managers, extremely high prices and uneducated people talking to customers on the phone.....

Had a quote for removing an oil furnace, water heater, oil tank, and replacing with a new electric water heater for 4400. The quote itself included 1380 for ""estimates."" Then, magically my furnace died within hours, requiring emergency after hours service, which they happily charged 99 and knew exactly what the issue was, and took less than 5 minutes, once they got there at 845pm.

I reported them to the Mass State Attorney General, based on the deceptive nature of the quote, pricing, and 'coincidental' nature of the furnace breaking within hours.

Stay away from these guys. They are real hucksters. Tried to sell me a $80 off-the-shelf switching relay for $500!!! Then when I told the guy I would never pay $500 for a switching relay (which requires about 20 minutes to install) he offered to take $100 off his price if I supplied the part! In other words, he was making me the ""wonderful"" offer to charge me only $1200/hr for his installation time!!! Called the sales manager and he was smug, lecturing, defensive and TOTALLY unhelpful. I would NEVER do business with this company ever again. It's highway robbery!!

Noting the further false responses from the so-called ""Service Manager"" below, I thought it would be prudent to add that what he says are lies. The tech arrived and worked for approximately 90 minutes before ever quoting me the price. It was only AFTER he had uninstalled my existing relay that he quoted me the price of around $500 for a standard Honeywell relay that I just bought from Lowes for $80.

The ""Service Manager"" went on-and-on on the phone about how it was like how a restaurant charges a lot more than the food cost for its dishes. Unfortunately, this ""Service Manager"" has NO IDEA what he is talking about. In a restaurant, a professional chef prepares the food with lots of other ingredients, it is then served in a pleasing environment, and there is service from waiters, busboys, maitre d, and sometimes the owner and chef. NONE of these things happen here. A tech spends 20 minutes installing a standard, off-the-shelf part to which the tech adds NO VALUE WHATSOEVER, and for that ""service"" these hucksters add $400 to the price of an $80 part!!! For 20 minutes of work that comes to $1200/hr.

""Highway robbery"" would be a kind way of phrasing it. Based on the fact that they DO NOT tell you up front how much it will cost, but only after 90 minutes of wasted time during which the tech accomplished nothing other than uninstalling my existing relay which I told him to put back, I would say ""bait-and-switch"" and virtual fraud would be more descriptive terms for the services that this company provides.

Stay away from Heritage if you don't want to be massively ripped off and have your time wasted!

I call this guys to get a price on a main water line and the technician was very unprofessional he told me the price for a new line was $10k and they were not doing any excavation or pavement on the driveway and top of everything they charge me $100 for the estimate I honestly don't recommend them!!!

This company had a high rating in The Best Picks Report. I'm not sure how that happened. Maybe businesses pay to be rated there. I filled out the online service form the night before and when I called in the morning they didn't have a record of it. OK. I guess I can understand that, even though I received a thank you confirmation screen when I sent the form. I had a circuit breaker problem and I couldn't use my stove or microwave. They gave me a service date of September 7th. I called on August 20th. The person I talked to was mildly apologetic but was just as happy to have me move on rather than trying to work with me for an earlier date. Needless to say I did move on! The only reason I gave them 2 stars and not 1 star is because I can't rate their work performance since I didn't get that far.

Total rip off company... I asked for a Service guy come out and see why my mini split air conditioner wasn't working.. He opened up the top and there was a mouse nest on top of the control boards... Obviously they got wet and shorted out... He called the next day and said he can't find parts for it because it's 18 yrs old...BS. I asked him how much for a new air conditioner.. He said 10 grand.... WHAT!!!.. I decided to do it myself.. I found all the parts I need online...for $300.00...and if I need a compressor it's 500 bucks... I had them do work for me before.. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I decided to get a quote from Heritage since my plumber wasn't available. They came to my house and quoted to replace two faucets at just under $2,000.00 (this included 2 Kohl faucets basic type, nothing fancy). They also wanted me to sign up for annual service at an additional charge.

After I almost had a heart attack the cost, I declined their offer and said I think I need to look further. Finally, my original plumber was available. I bought the 2 faucets from home depot for $250.00. My plumber installed the 2 faucets, repaired an issue with my kitchen sink as well as install a new toilet for the total price of $225.00. If your smart, find someone else! I don't recommend this company unless you want to be raked over the coals.
