I recently used Herber for the 3rd or 4th time in the last 10 years. This service call was to replace an old, leaky toilet. As always, they were professional, punctual and reasonably priced. They not only completed the job requested, they always clean up after themselves. I always recommend Herber without hesitation.

I was quoted an unbelievably high price for the work I wanted done. Price was labor only as I had bought all plumbing parts and fixtures required. I ended up agreeing to have them fix my kitchen faucet because that was critical. As it turns out, the plumber installed the new pull down hose and was getting ready to leave when we noticed it was still leaking. Turns out another part was required - how did he not know this?- which had to be bought. He left, bought the part, and returned to fix the faucet adding another $150 to the price of replacing the pull down hose. I did not have the rest of the non-critical work done. Totally shocked at the price for the original work I requested and it takes a lot to shock me with prices these days.

I had a leaking shower that needed a Kohler replacement part. The part costs a little over $100. The time taken? Less than a half hour. The bill? $595 + Tax.

Hourly rates for plumbers in our area are less than half that figure. I don't blame the technician but the owner.

The Herber Plumbing team coordinated with other vendors, including National Grid and worked with the Town of Islip Building Dept and the plumbing inspector to deliver a completed oil to gas conversion that was fully up to code and working perfectly!

Thank you for your quick and professional response in repairing my furnace. At the time, I asked for a quotation for a new water heater and outdoor spigot. The technicians, in both cases were polite, professional, and left the work area neat and clean.

While 2 guys worked in the kitchen another guy walks in plops a bag down on my antique table then starts eating! Then he disappears into the bathroom for the next 20 min. probably using my toilet. Disgusting. I'd never call them again.
