I received a call from Savannah's Water Co. informing me that my water meter reflected that I was using 84 gal. of water an hour and had used 23,000 gal. of water in the past 25 days. I immediately called Henry Plumbing Co (in Savannah, GA)., which I had trusted and used for years and always recommended to others, to see if they could find a leak. The scheduler at this company is always accommodating, and she had 2 of the company's plumbers at my house within a couple of hours. After spending around 2 hours inspecting the interior of my home, I mentioned there was standing water on the back lawn, which I had never seen previously. They said they would take a look around exterior of my home, \ after checking out the interior water sources. After their outside """"inspection,"""" the plumber-in-charge told me that they could NOT find a leak anywhere. Therefore, I had 2 options: 1. They could check for a leak, before leaving, with a """"leak locator device."""" The cost for """"this service,"""" as I recall, was close to $500 and not guaranteed to even locate the leak. I was later told that American Leak Detector charges a flat $350 to find a water leak, with the guarantee they WILL find it. 2. I could have my 30-year-old home, which recently underwent major improvements and is in stellar condition, totally re-piped (which, I have since been informed, would likely have cost approximately $75,000-$100,000k for the re-piping and then all of the repairs in my 3.5 bathrooms, laundry, and kitchen as walls and pricey wooden floors would have to be removed. And, of course, there was no guarantee that a leak would even be found inside after all of that. Nevertheless, this was VERY obviously the route they were recommending I """"choose""""--even though not 1 sign of needing re-piping (listed below) was present. **Frequent plumbing leaks, Noisy pipes, Visible pipe corrosion, Discolored water, Bad-tasting or bad-smelling water, Fluctuating water temperature.** Before the plumbers left, I paid my bill of $264 for """"looking for an unfound leak"""" and putting new flappers on 2 toilets. I feel like it was money thrown out-the-window, except for the 2 flappers. Shortly after they left, I called the gentleman who had checked my irrigation system (in my new home) the week before and shown me how to use it. After I explained the situation to him, he told me that what I had just experienced was outrageous; he would be at my house within a couple of hours, and then he WOULD find my leak and stop it. And that is just what he did. He effortlessly found the leak right outside my kitchen door in less than 5 minutes, by which time my side lawn was like a small swamp. In less than 20 minutes, he had stopped the almost month-long flow of water the two plumbers could not even locate. No wonder Henry Plumbing Co.. It is worth noting that Henry Plumbing is NOT certified by the Better Business Bureau! Once the leak was found and stopped, I sent an email to the plumbing company telling them about my leak being located and repaired in less than 30 min., along with pictures . I also mentioned that I had a faucet I needed to have installed on a mud sink in my garage--and I felt, after all the unnecessary stress I had been exposed to by their plumbers, that I thought it would be an act of goodwill to a long-time, loyal customer if they would install my faucet at no charge. Though the owner of the plumbing company was sent my email, I never received the courtesy of a reply from her. I called someone else to install my faucet, and I will never again deal with Henry Plumbing Co, of Savannah, GA and will warn others about my experience. Regardless of what Henry Plumbing may say to justify what happened, I consider their modus operandi a """"scare tactic"""" used about what could possibly happen if I did NOT decide to contract for the re-piping of my home. Of course, I feel certain they would say they were just """"doing their job"""" by outlining the possibilities available. I can't help but find this plumbing company's promoted motto an oxymoron: """"Your Home's Best Friend.""""

Prices are very reasonable. All their employees have always been nice, courteous and trustworthy. I had them come to my office for a clogged sink. While there, they checked all the sinks and made suggestions on how to prevent a clogged drain.

Terrible and messy! These folks installed a new garbage disposal in our new kitchen and forgot to tighten it. I called the owner and was basically told I was crazy. I tightened myself and haven't had a problem since. Glad I checked it!!!

My downstairs neighbor thought they saw signs of water on the ceiling of their bathroom so they recommended Henry's to me. The guys that came were nice and seemed to know their business, They flushed the toilet about 20 times and ran about 10 gallons of water down the sink. They went to my downstairs neighbor and did not see any leaks so said my sink and toilet were ok. Just 3 stars because they did not show up for the first appointment I made and called me late in the day to cancel. They were also late for the second appointment, and I had to call them to find out when they would arrive. Then they charged me $150 for the 30-40 minutes of time they spent here. That seemed pretty expensive.

Agreement made 3 years back when I proceeded with work at my home they would finish the re-piping job by taking the water line to the main. (There was no need to bust up concrete to do this at the time and repeat in 3 years) Now.... no record of this agreement and unfortunately I took the man for his word. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Work was good; integrity is questionable.

This is a remarkable company. We've used them twice now. The lady who manages requests is professional, caring, and demonstrates real concern for your issue. She scheduled help promptly. When the men arrived they were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We hadn't asked for an estimate, but the final bill was 30% less than we had anticipated. They even did a great job cleaning up. You can trust the people at Henry Plumbing.

They really try, but not that great. Office staff can be abrupt, perhaps without meaning to, but the bottom line is, they're just average at best.

personally, I did not like the vibe or management. Called owner to report issue and she hung up on me. I was over charged.

I would not do business with this firm. I am a victim of zip code profiling. They gave me what turned out to be a low ball estimate to only have them come back three weeks later looking to charge me 3x the original labor charge. If they have been doing estimates for over 51 years you would think they would know what they are doing. Stay clear

Called Tuesday after 5:00 and left message with answering service. I had water damage from a leaking water heater. Called again on Wednesday at 8:30, and was advised that they would work me in. Two guys arrived around 3:00, put on masks at my request, looked at my problem and stated that I had a slab leak; they would bring equipment at 12:00 on Friday the 17th to check for the leak, and this would cost $450 to use the equipment for the inspection. On Friday, I called the office at 3:30 and was told that the person who was to come to my house was not going to be able to come to work. They were apologetic, said they were sorry they forgot to call me, and said that they could come at 8:00 on Monday the 20th with the equipment to find the slab leak. I had originally called about a leaking hot water tank, which is what I have. I have located the leak and am arranging to have the tank replaced using a different plumber. Everybody was very polite, but I was advised to spend an additional $450 for unnecessary inspection. I would not use this company under any circumstances.
