Jazz P.They used to be better 10 years ago. Last 3 times I've used them, had to have them back 2-3 times and still have issues not resolved. Not using them any longer.
They rescued my Manhattan kitchen reno (Columbus Cir/Hell's Kitch)!
Everything was getting ready to roll, including stone countertops - with the new sink, faucets, under-counter filtration system, etc., in my livingroom - when the original plumber (recommended by a friend, in residential construction) bailed.
With a major mess on my hands, & just 2 weeks, before the stone installers were due, I learned about HMyers. They were professional, calm and easy to work with, even about a project in Manhattan.
Within days, my building had the necessary insurance documents, & a plumber arrived, to check the existing setup, and new hardware (to confirm the equipment/adapters/etc., they'd need).
The 2-person team arrived, as promised (I wish the stone installers were as reliable - on THEIR first project of the day), and not only sorted out the under-sink spaghetti, but fit in a 2-cartridge water filtration system, in the process, while also leaving me usable storage space.
Their pricing was consistent - the ""rough estimate,"" from my first call, carefully describing the work, is what I paid (plus parts, of course) - and reasonable (for quick turnaround, & in Manhattan).
I'm happy with their work, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Henry Myers Plumbing.
Thomas A.Tim Myers the owner is very knowledgeable, and has a great staff of mechanics. They are very good at solving problems. Would highly recommend.
Jeff E.We have used these guys for years to fix various plumbing issues in our Park Slope row house, and they are thorough and honest. Call early in the morning because they can get busy.
Harry S.I needed to repair a vintage kitchen faucet diverter (handle stuck in either hot or cold, not good). Fortunately, I had the parts and instructions, so presuming the plumber was competent, all he/she needed to do was follow the directions. The problem turned out when trying to get someone to do this job. I guess for some, it is too trivial. I contacted a few in the area, with no luck, but Henry Myers Plumbing did respond and sent two guys. They were efficient and careful and completed the job in an hour. I am very pleased and special shout out the the guys.
I can not recommend this company and here's why.
I called to schedule an appointment and went through the list of what I needed done - change a radiator valve, bleed a radiator and unclog the tub. The person I spoke with said ""it's $165/hour + parts. They should be able to finish the job in an hour.""
Plumbers came, worked for 30 minutes, left for an hour (not sure where they went), came back and finished the job. The bill I got was for $430.
I called the office to say that the cost was much more expensive than what I quoted. The receptionist said, ""well, sometimes jobs take longer."" Ok, well that should have been communicated and it wasn't.
Look elsewhere. I know I won't do business with this place again.
Work is not the best for the price they send young inexperienced guys to do the job and charge a arm and a leg for the job and they fix everything but the problem so you keep calling them back
They fixed my problem (simple clogged drain--was a non-emergency and they came several days after I called, which was fine) and everyone was very nice and professional. But after I got the invoice I called around and they were by far the most expensive. I paid it because, in all fairness, price was not discussed beforehand. Unfortunately, on that basis, I wouldn't use them again, including on the brownstone we're gutting.
Heidi M.These guys literally just left my place, and I am happy to say that my leaky bathroom sink is no more! Within 30 minutes they were done and out the door. Very nice guys and so far excellent repair work.
I've spoken to both Karen and Timothy over the phone and they are very polite (and patient, considering I was very difficult to get ahold of - thank you for your tenacity, Karen!) and made the whole thing as painless as can be.
I don't know about the price since they came over on behalf of my apartment's rental company but if I ever needed some other plumbing work done I would not hesitate to give them a call. Highly recommend on customer service alone.
Completely unprofessional and incompetent. They moved the stove out of place to insert new gas line, but rather than putting the line in the wall, they put it OUTSIDE the wall. As a result, the space was too tight to accomodate the stove. Two of them FORCED it back in place, and when they did, the stove cracked. BEWARE - Stay away from Henry Myers Plumbing!
