Requested repair of simple 1/2 inch copper water line which had frozen during recent cold-aggedon at our Portland house here in SW Hills. The charges were horrendously inflated and no estimate was provided prior to repair. The cost for this simple fix? 1700.oo.

The quality of the repair, so far as we can see, was adequate but hardly worth a mortgage payment. The tech was as nice a person as possible and worked quickly and competently and we gave him cookies for his children after the work was completed.

The problem is being addressed by the Oregon DOJ with a c/o ""price gouging"". I believe that this company took advantage of the situation by a ridiculous overcharge [which was not justified by any mention in the ""paperwork"". My advice? Look elsewhere for repairs and frankly, anything else they offer. Sorry for the length of this. DB

Hemco Plumbing did a great job diagnosing our hot water heater problem. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They communicated well what was needed and what was being done throughout the whole process. I highly recommend their services. The service person was very respectful of our home and family.

Planned to do just a water heater replacement but then Mr Freeze came and burst a water pipe inside the house (garage). Ugh. Changed the wh install-only to install AND pipe replacement. Once I got ahold of a scheduler (next business day after getting their answering service) Dillon and Dean came out, arriving on time. Took their time explaining everything during the install and pipe replacement, and helped me learn some things about my house. Would definitely trust Henco again.

Henco sent Kevin H. out to help me find out if the pipes cracked after this lovely storm. He found a leak and fixed it for less than the quote of my options. Easy to work with. I'd call them again.

I had such a great experience with Henco thanks to Wyatt!We had a burst pipe during the current ice storm in Portland, and he went above and beyond. Wyatt had a great attitude despite the freezing weather and helped us find an affordable solution to our problem. He made sure we had everything taken care of and offered helpful advice for avoiding this in the future. Henco was also the only company that could get out quickly in the current storm. I highly recommend them!

The tech was a nice guy. The scheduler told me the service call would be $129.00, and if I decided to have them do the work the $129.00 would be taken off the bill. The tech told me that was incorrect. He called his supervisor and was told he couldn't subtract it. I called the scheduler on speaker phone with the tech standing next to me. She stated they would take the $129.00 off the bill once the work was done. That never happened. I would never use them again.

Everyone I dealt with was friendly, reliable and efficient. Emily at HQ stayed in touch, calling to confirm the appointment and again to provide a tighter time window. Austin and Aaron were very helpful in assessing the problem and advising how to deal with what turned out to be a non-plumbing issue. I've used Henco a couple of times now and would recommend them without hesitation.

Unreliable and they lie. I called because my pipes in my bathroom were frozen, and I was so excited that they said they can get somebody out today between 12 to 4 PM. Nobody showed up. No call. Nothing. I called and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I finally got in touch with their answering service. And they said somebody would call me back. I'm holding my phone waiting waiting waiting, I look away, and when I look back at my phone, I see a missed call and voicemail, and it says ""silenced call"". I didn't silence the call, did they silence it? The voicemail says nobody can come till Wednesday. So I call back and I speak to the woman, I told her I've been waiting for them all day. If they couldn't come out until Wednesday, it would have been nice to know so I could've called somebody else. She said she called and left a message. I have zero recording of that call. I have zero missed call. She said we record All of our calls. She claims to have called at 10:31 this morning and left a 56 second message. Well it wasn't to me. I never got it. I have zero missed calls from them and zero voicemails. What a horrible liar and now it's 5pm, and I have to search for a new plumber. Never use this company!

Unbelievable. And now it's 5pm and there's no way I can get anybody out here.
