Neal Hemphill Sr. founded Hemphill Plumbing in 1954, initially focusing on residential services. Over the years, it has transformed into Hemphill Services, now owned by Neal Hemphill Jr. and Adam Trammell. Hemphill Services has grown to offer plumbing, heating, and cooling solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. We are licensed in five states and provide services across Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Blount, and Tuscaloosa counties in Alabama.

I had a major plumbing disaster just 3 days before Christmas. I went to Yelp, looked at a few reviews, and decided to call Hemphill. It was after 4 pm, and they closed at 5 pm. I got an employee on the line immediately and told him about my problem. He said that he would call another employee who lived in my area. Within an hour, Michael and JQ showed up, and in about an hour, they had fixed my problem. And they gave me a discount! Three cheers and five stars for Hemphill!!

had a main water supply line leaking, made the call to Hemphill Services and within 2hours the technician called and said he was on the way, once he got here, he was very courteous, efficient, I was very happy with the service and technician, will use this company and refer my friends, Thanks Hemphill

Unfortunately, I've had to use Hemphill many times for my rental property and business. Luckily, I was able to depend on Hemphill when I needed them. They've always been honest with me about their availability and arrived when they said they would. Beyond that, I've never been dissatisfied with any part of their service. For anything other than small jobs, I won't trust anyone, but Hemphill.

The first time we used Hemphill Services was in 2012 at our previous house. We needed both AC units replaced. We called three companies to get quotes. Hemphill's quote was the lowest, so we used them. They did a great job installing the units, which both worked great. We've also used Hemphill for plumbing services a few times, and they did an awesome job each time fixing our issues right the first time. Then we moved into a new house about 3 years ago and the main-floor unit in the house just never kept up. Each year, we would have to call out the original company who had installed the unit since it was under their warranty. This other company never could fix the issue, only shot it full of freon each time, which would always quickly leak out. So we called Hemphill out to fix it. Hemphill fixed it right the first time! Now we are staying cool each day thanks to the guys at Hemphill Services. We highly recommend these guys if you want reliable service at a fair price.

Hemphill came out to clean out A/C ducts and service our A/C and heater. Their guys were very professional and did a great job for a great price.

My second call to Hemphill this season after freaky ac breakdown. Hunter came within a couple hours of my call, quickly evaluated and repaired the unit and did us good with the bill. We appreciate these folks' service. Only issue was getting an answering machine and HOPING they'd get the message ... which of course they did.

We used Hemphill to install 2 new air conditioning units and 2 new furnaces. They were very professional and affordable, and most importantly, the units worked great and saved us money.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with the team from Hemphill. They were so easy to work with! Unlike many other companies, they sold me what I needed for my home rather than trying to sell me with more just so they could turn a bigger profit. After talking with several companies their upfront/no sales pitch approach was very refreshing. Thanks to Hemphill, I have an awesome new TRANE heating and air system and AO Smith gas water heater. I got great service, equipment,, and value from Hemphill. Hunter and his team did a terrific job with the install. They were efficient and made sure I felt good about things each step of the way. Hunter went above and beyond to help me get everything set up on the WiFi thermostat. I even got a visit from Chad, Vice-President, to see that the project was coming together. Based on my experience, you will have a hard time finding a company, with better service and value.

We have now used a few different services for HVAC issues. With our unit around 10 years old or so, not everything works with perfection as I'm sure it once did. But with Hemphill, these were the first people to not try and sell us more than we need. As opposed to saying that we need a whole new system, the Hemphill team encouraged us to try and figure out if it is a fixable smaller issue. Something that I really appreciate since another service suggested we replace the whole system because they couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong. The technician was extremely friendly and explained everything as they were doing it. He even tossed the tennis ball for our overactive dog since she wanted to be out the with him. Great service and doesn't seem to nickel and dime us. Unless I have a different experience, Hemphill will be my go-to moving forward.
