Is your to-do list growing larger? Is your home in need of numerous small repairs that you can't find time for? We’re here to assist you.

We focus on minor tasks for your home maintenance. We handle the little jobs that no one else wants to do. Our work is limited to quick in-and-out jobs that take no more than a day or two. Most of our work is done in 6 hours or fewer. We do not perform work above 8 feet from the ground or floor. That type of work is not covered by our insurance.

We do not handle roofing, gutter work, or fascia repairs that exceed 8 feet.

Our pricing is competitive, and we have references available. We are fully insured and registered as a MA HIC.

Our company began in January 1989 in a difficult economy, working as a home building and renovation contractor under the name Leonardi's Carpentry Co in Shrewsbury, MA. After a slow start, we gained momentum and served many great clients. Now, we are a small two-man operation that specializes in urgent service calls, small carpentry jobs, and general handyman repairs under The Helpful Handyman Co. We no longer engage in home building, additions, kitchen or bath remodels, or roofing. We focus solely on small in-and-out home repairs.

I started in construction as a laborer in 1977 and later became a carpenter apprentice. I spent a few years honing my skills as a frame and finish carpenter, working with well-known contractors like Gifford Construction, Granger Corp., and DAS Construction.

In early 1989, I launched my own carpentry contracting business, meeting new people and taking on interesting projects. Throughout the years, I worked in different locations, handling home building, additions, remodeling, and other tasks.

In recent years, I transitioned to the handyman side of the business, adding the ""handyman"" title and dropping ""carpentry."" Now, The Helpful Handyman Co focuses solely on small repairs and urgent service calls, leaving general contracting in the past.
