Is your list of home projects expanding? Is your home in need of numerous small repairs that you can't find time for? Let’s take care of it together.

We specialize in small jobs for your home repair needs. We only take on the small jobs that others overlook. We concentrate on short projects that last a day or two. Most of our work is done in 6 hours or fewer. We avoid jobs that require work over 8 feet high. That type of work is not covered by our insurance.

We do not handle roofing, gutter work, or fascia repairs that exceed 8 feet.

Our rates are fair, and we provide checkable references. We are fully insured and registered as a MA HIC.

In January 1989, we began our journey in a challenging economy as a home building and renovation contractor under Leonardi's Carpentry Co, based in Shrewsbury, MA. After some slow initial years, we found our footing and worked with many wonderful clients along the way. Now, we are a small two-man operation that specializes in urgent service calls, small carpentry jobs, and general handyman repairs under The Helpful Handyman Co. We have shifted away from home building, additions, kitchen and bath remodels, and roofing. Our focus is entirely on small home repairs.

I began my career as a construction laborer in 1977 before becoming a young carpenter apprentice. I spent a few years honing my skills as a frame and finish carpenter, working with well-known contractors like Gifford Construction, Granger Corp., and DAS Construction.

In early 1989, I established my own carpentry contracting business, meeting new clients and tackling various projects. Throughout the years, I worked in different locations, handling home building, additions, remodeling, and other tasks.

In the last few years, I have moved towards handyman services, emphasizing the ""handyman"" aspect and stepping back from ""carpentry."" Now, The Helpful Handyman Co is strictly a small job repair and urgent service call specialist, leaving general contracting behind.
