Kyle S.Extremely professional service. Very courteous, knowledgeable and thorough in their demeanor on the job. Explained each step along the way, I am confident in our furnace after having the team out to install the new one.
Rose W.My annual furnace checkup is a freebie as a club member and JJ was super nice. Didn't even mind my mess. There were a few really important parts that needed replacing -- a solenoid still under warranty and a single capacitor that had been mentioned on previous HELP regular maintenance visits. This time the capacitor was leaking. Also he checked my system thoroughly (sp?) and gave the blower a very good cleaning as well taking it completely apart. I asked a few questions when he was working and he was very nice showing me some of how things worked on the furnace. Also, they had brought our special electrostatic filters for the year as I had requested. JJ was very personable and knowledgeable and responsive. I would be very happy to have him out to my home again. Thank you JJ!! (Also, I thought the prices were ""reasonable"" for the parts -- in my guess-timation.)
Horrible with over pricing double if not more (to pay for helping all VETS - but really doubt it!! its to Help their Help company) After the overpricing with a $69 service call -you are pressure to join a club - Andy apologized about this club years ago - Andy was fair but he is long gone-- The HELP that came out in August 2016 looked for 2 seconds and said I needed a whole new a/c but I felt that they never looked at what I had. The service price was quoted too high and especially the new air conditioner. How do you quote anything without looking at the unit? I am a woman- but I know when I'm being ripped off- went with Reupert - Great company!! Marty quit doing commercials-i'm losing respect for you!! I let BBB know--but still had to fight for three months to get my service call refunded by Rachel..
Rick C.Casey was really professional and very friendly. He explained everything to me and offered good advice on the issues he found. I would highly recommend HELP in the future.
The only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because they were able to come out the same day I called, which I appreciated. The guy who showed up to work on my furnace was very unpleasant and shouldn't be working directly with customers. I know that I had an old furnace and simply wanted the guy to try and get it running but rather than even looking at it for more than 1 minute he promptly says ""Yeah, you need a new furnace."" Then he casually asked me how much did I think it would be. I guessed 3k and he scoffed at me at then told me closer to 5 grand. Called a mom and pop shop and had them install a brand new furnace for $1600. I will never recommend HELP to anybody, not even my worst enemy. I still had to pay the $80 service charge, which I guess I can understand even though this guy was at my house for less than 10 minutes total.
Have always had a good experience with HELP and the most recent was no different. Explained what I needed in additional to seasonal maintenance, and were timely and courteous.
I am impressed with the performance of the professionals at HELP. Crystal B., an member of the office staff, helped me get a convenient appointment for my AC tuneup. More importantly, Crystal was able to get the exact professional I requested - Mikee W.
Mikee W. quickly and expertly inspected my AC system. He also took the time to discuss the overall condition of my cooling unit going forward. I WILL definitely buy my next unit and installation from HELP. And I will again ask for Mikee W. He is outstanding!
Continued - had a problem because of the weather. We, I purchased a new AC TODAY, to be installed tomorrow.
Andy G.First I will say always professional looking, well educated on what they are there for, friendly and courteous. All those smoke screens aside I have attempted to use H.E.L.P. on two separate occasions. Both times they were close to 2 to 2 1/2 times the cost of anyone else. (they explain this in their speech) ""Not the cheapest, but the best that does the job right."" Not the cheapest by a LONG shot.
Both times we mentioned getting a 2nd opinion, and or estimate before doing anything. Normal on any big job such as furnace and AC replacement. In return in both instances they (HELP) never followed up in any way shape form. It is my opinion this is due to the fact they know once we/you get a 2nd estimate they (H.E.L.P.) will be out of the picture.
Due to pricing or that the item did not in fact need replaced anyway.
I would not recommend them to anyone for any job.
If you do decide to have them come out for some unknown reason..... DEFINITELY get a second opinion or estimate. You will be amazed at the difference in price or find out you don't really need with a suggested.
I have used Help (Thompson) for many years. In the past few years, I have been less than thrilled with the revolving door of technicians. On Tuesday, October 25, 2016, Help sent a tech to do the furnace tune up for the winter. After being downstairs for some time, he came up and asked to talk to me.
He said the the draft inducer motor was going out because he could hear the bearings whining a little and needed to be replaced. And the switch to the humidifier had gone bad so it needed to be replaced also. He quoted $710 for the draft inducer motor & $277 for the humidifier switch. I went downstairs to see exactly what he was talking about. Heard the inducer motor whining a little while the furnace was running. Saw that the switch was having on & off issues. After going back upstairs, the tech said he had to put everything back together.
I declined to have anything replaced as I wanted to do my homework, get a second opinion and research part replacement to see if it was something I could do.
After I decided to call several other companies, it was evident that the prices he quoted me were astronomical and totally out of line with what some other companies quoted. I decided to have another company come in to take a look. In the meantime, I kept trying to start the furnace to take the chill off of the house. It would not start.
When the other company came in and took the panel off the furnace to check the inducer motor while I was standing there, it was discovered that the tech had left two hoses off the inducer motor to guarantee that the furnace would not start. Turned out to be very minor issues with the motor and the switch just needed to be cleaned. So what the tech quoted at $987 was fixed for $79.00.
I will never use Help Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric again. They may put on a good front but they are all about the sales they can produce by using shoddy & unscrupulous practices.
Had purchased new furnace and AC units.
Alex H. And Bob O. Completed the job very professionally.
We are very happy with their service.
Next morning the house was warm and cozy!
Thanks for your hard work.
