What a relief to find an honest plumber! Dave from Heise's was the third plumber to check why the cold water faucet was not working on the shower. He diagnosed the problem on the spot, replaced the stems immediately and was done in an hour or so costing about $200. Two other plumbers listed on yelp (Friendly and Stallion) both wanted over $1000 and said they had to break into the wall through the tile to do the work. Thank god for Heise's - I will definitely use them from now on.

I recently had Dave of Heise's Plumbing do a very large job of changing out all the old vertical galvanized pipes to copper in two units and also some work in the third unit, plus change out three water heaters. Dave's team started on time and finished on time and knew exactly what they were doing. Dave himself was also there a lot to monitor the job and always available via telephone if I had a question. Dave is very concerned about customer satisfaction and goes the extra mile to make sure the job meets your expectations. They will be my plumber of choice from now on and I think anyone using them will feel the same. Thanks, Dave and team, you're great!!

I've had a few interactions with Heise's -- all positive. Once Dave came out and looked at my leak and told me I didn't need his services; I could fix it myself, and he told me how. Another time he came by when I was out of town and fixed a leaky sink for my housesitters.

Recently he came by because my tub was leaking into my downstairs neighbors' ceiling. He spent about a half-hour with my neighbors, testing and recreating the leak. Then he spent 20 minutes talking to me on the phone about it, telling me about the possibilities and how he planned to address it.

On repair day, he sent Fred out. Fred looked at the tub and sussed out another possible solution to the problem that would not involve opening up my neighbors' ceiling. He asked me whether it was OK to proceed with his theory, cautioning me that if he was wrong, it might cost me a bit more in the hourly rate. But if he was right -- and he was 95 percent sure he was -- we could avoid opening their ceiling. Naturally, I went for it. He was right, and that savvy, considerate plumbing saved me a bundle. He told me he does plumbing as if he were in his own house, and I agree! Dave told me he's had his crew for years, as opposed to other companies with higher rates of turnover. I've worked with those other plumbers as well, and the Heise difference really shows. Thank you, Heise!!!

I've had Heise's Plumbing out to the house two times now. Each time a different plumber, and both times top of the line service at moderate prices.

The first time was to repair a below sink drain pipe which had corroded and broken. The work was fast and professional and is operating like clockwork. They even went above and beyond, replacing the drain plug mechanism.

The second was to replace our water heater in an emergency. They showed up an hour after I called, replaced the water heater, and even traded out some old galvanized pipe for copper. When I got the bill, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had billed me the amount of the estimate, even though they'd done more than promised.

The next time some plumbing breaks in this ancient house, Heise's will be doing the repair.

These guys are awesome! I've called them many times and I've been meaning to write them a review for some time. On three occasions they talked me through the problem over the phone so I could fix it myself, and I really liked that they didn't try to make a quick buck instead. The times they have needed to come out to fix something I was always able to reach someone on the phone, and they had same-day service. I've also found them to be reasonably priced. Today we had to have our water heater replaced, and the guy that came out was really nice, arrived on time, and did a great job. I highly recommend them!

Upgrading to five stars. I called with another plumbing problem. He could have come out and made $$ just for showing up but when I explained what what going on he said. ""I think I know what the problem is"" Then he talked me through a really simple fix over the phone! Do I love these guys!?!?!

Dave at Heises is my hero. He really knows his stuff. He's patient and so knowledgeable. I called to ask some questions about a leaky toilet and he walked me through the issue over the phone. He actually helped me figure out the problem without even being there. He also talked me out of buying (and having him install) a new toilet. He suggested he come out and clean up the old one so it works better and more efficiently, and when we're ready to remodel the bathroom, get a new toilet then. He explained that old toilets were screwed into the wall back in the day and that new toilets are not. He warned me that a new toilet would sit about four inches away from the wall which would make it so you could see the holes in the tile where the old toilet was mounted. He suggested it would look bad and make an already old bathroom look worse. I have to say I agree. He said these exact words ""My motto is I'm not going to sell you something you don't need."" I am so pleased with the level of customer service I received and the work they did was excellent. I now have a toilet that runs perfectly and I didn't have to spend a ton of money replacing a toilet (and paying for labor) that I didn't really need. They even adjusted it so that my toilet uses less water per flush. How cool is that? Hire these guys. Call no other plumbers. They are the best. They are fairly priced, trustworthy and professional. You'd be a fool if you went with anyone else.

I love Heises plumbing. I called up and got the owner telling him I needed a new water heater and asking him to give me an estimate. The plumber who just left my house told me i needed a new water heater and quoted me $1700.00. Heises came out to my house and told me I didn't need a new water heater but a $1.40 valve. They saved me a lot of money. There is nothing better than an honest company. You can trust Heises. 3 years later they replaced a pump for me and did a great job at the quoted price. No add-ons.
