I wanted to write a review because Heflin and Son went above and beyond to help settle my dispute, and I want to thank them very much for their kindness. My only issue after an excellent plumbing job was that I received a very high and unexpected bill. The day they came over was extremely hectic and I had to run out, leaving my mother there to deal with things. For whatever reason, the plumber forgot to give my mother an estimate, and went ahead with the work. As a single mom, the high bill came as a shock, not having been consulted first. This was an unfortunate situation in which both parties can rightly get heated, but instead Todd from H&S calmly offered me a refund of almost 50%, for which I am extremely grateful. Thank you, Todd, for your professional and polite manner under difficult circumstances. I know I probably wasn't the easiest person to deal with, and your understanding meant a lot. I highly recommend Heflin & Sons, and hope this review has helped remedy the experience for them a little.

I had these plumbers to my house about 6 years ago to replace a water heater. Today the gas man came out and informed me that connector pipe was not safe and should have been replaced with steel when they installed the water heater because the old pipe was over 30 years and could split and cause leaks and fires. I called Heflin to give them the opportunity to correct it-and they said we will charge you to come out and fix it.!! I asked whytheydidnt properly replace the pipe when they were here and theysaid they need to be TOLD to do that-if I WAS a plumber I wouldnt have called them. This is not a companythat cares about its work or its clientele.

Plumber did not replace all copper piping as was stipulated in contract. Also, plumber left hole in bathroom wall where another pipe was replaced. Furthermore, broken, rusty pipes were left visible in unrepaired brickwork in front of house.

I was told that Heflin & Son would come to finish the work they had begun. This was in May 2010, and despite my repeated calls to them, they have not returned to finish the work that they started.

I strongly urge anyone who reads this review to find another plumber.
