I have used Hedrick's Service personally for both plumbing and HVAC service and installation. I have also used them numerous times for my clients who are either buying or selling their home. They are extremely service oriented, arrive when they say they will or call to update you on their arrival time. There contractors get the job done and leave the site better than they found it.

In my 20+ years of homeowner experience, there is no vendor as good as Hedrick's Call Service Now for HVAC and Plumbing. Here is my story: I recently purchased a home in Dallas that was originally built in 1966. It had very old and inefficient systems that were patch-worked and just a plain mess. When looking to replace them, I spoke to at least a dozen providers and narrowed it down to two. Hedrick's was the only one that provided a complete solution for me and they managed the entire process - including adding proper attic stairs. Hedrick's pricing was great too!
Other vendors offered partial replacement, or recommended to just replace the main units. This is like putting a new engine in an old car with bad tires. There are a lot of people doing this kind of work, so you need to be very selective when spending your money.
Before I actually moved into this home, Hedrick's replaced all the HVAC equipment, including the old poorly insulated and damaged ductwork. Proper ductwork is VERY critical to efficiency. This along with an amazing warranty and assurances won me over. There have been some minor adjustments since the replacement and everything was resolved the next day and sometimes the same day I called. My house is cool and quiet - utility bills are low too.
Amazing service, easy to deal with, great employees, owner is available when needed. This is a solid family business that cares and they hire people who care too. HIGHLY recommended.

Stacy who was on the phone each time I spoke with Hedrick was the best. Very professional and informative. She made me feel like this was a good choice. She called to let me know the truck was on its way and it arrived way later than expected. She said 30 minutes and it was at least 90 minutes. No apology from "Pete". Not even sure that was his real name as he was making a joke about his name and his assistant...

"Pete" was nice. I went over what I wanted and got an estimate for that and 2 other things I did not want or ask for... no real reason why I needed them other than he added it on. He was sketchy on the why. He apparently had no interest in what I actually was asking for although he was still nice. II honestly felt like he was padding the work. This was not a big or elaborate job.

I anticipated and was told when I scheduled Hedrick could do what I needed the day they came, and I may have gone along with it to get what I needed fixed, but I would have to reschedule for another time. He had a myriad of reasons why. I was not interested in being taken and having to wait for the opportunity, so I called Stacy back and told her I would not be using them. Again, she was great! Wish "Pete" was professional and informative instead of nice.

Maybe they have other techs who are better, but I am not taking that chance.

It's been four years since my (rather) bitchy review, and I've calmed down. We still use Hedrick - we have one of their service plans, so whatever issues there were in the past, they've been resolved.

I would always rather use locals than nationals, so I'm glad some locals are still around.

we had ac go out late on a saturday night. called hederick who got someone out asap and replaced the blown fuse. thank goodness thats all it was. hey when its hot outside andthe a/c goes you want someone reliable to be prompt to fix it correctly right? hederick was honest and very good. i went back to see when it was i started using hederick, which was when i rented a condo 20 years ago! i used them when i bought my first home and two homes after that they still get all my business.

I needed a new garbage disposal. As I've always used Hedrick for my air conditioning servicing, I went to them for the plumbing work. The guy installed a new garbage disposal and was done and gone in a decent amount of time. Then I used the garbage disposal and it immediatly plugged up. I now know that I put too much stuff down too fast. So I called the tech back to report a problem. I knew it was in the disposal, just didn't know what to do about it. He came back out. Good deal. But he refused to believe that the back-up had anything to do with the garbage disposal that he'd just installed. Long story short--he spent 8 HOURS snaking my pipes from the roof. Plunging the drains. 8 HOURS. When he left, he sold me some drain cleaner and said if that didn't clear it, we'd have to get someone with a gadget that would allow us to see in the pipes to find the blockage. I put the gunk in the sink and left for a week long business trip. Got home, sink was still plugged with floating gunk that now stunk. I called a different plumber from the yellow pages. He came out. I explained the story. He went to the garbage disposal and took off the little P trap pipe at the bottom. It was jam packed with the shredded meat that I had put down the disposal. He cleaned it out, flushed everything through, gave me a great lecture about disposal's capabilities and was gone in 30 minutes. If the Hedrick's plumber hadn't been so tied up in his ego that he was sure it couldn't be his work, he would have listened to what I was telling him instead of automatically declaring it couldn't possibly have anything to do with his workmanship. I had signed up for the plumbing warranty program but cancelled it based on this experience. I still use them for my AC work, but never again for plumbing.
