Had a new Ductless system installed along with a new tankless hot water heater and couldn't be happier. Very clean and courteous and answered all of our questions and was extremely accommodating to my wife's requests. Submitted all of rebates to central Hudson quickly. Honestly don't know why they have the negative reviews because they were top notch all the way!

These guys are the biggest crooks in the area. Charged over $ 1,000 for a simple change of a tub/shower valve that took the mechanic 2 hours.

I would NEVER allow this company back into my home. They are the magical combination of overpriced, don't know what they are doing, and dishonest. They straight up lied about a repair. I had a pipe freeze in my weekend house and my property manager called this TERRIBLE company. First, the minor - sloppy work, when they installed a new toilet they were so sloppy they put the whole thing in crooked. They did not even put it in the same foot print as the old toilet. THEN, when they turned the heat back on they did not properly charge the system. This resulted in our heat not coming on AND a leak. When they came back they tried to cover their mistake by LYING about a repair. They said there was a crack in the hot water heater and a broken coil. They quoted us a $3900 repair. The insurance company sent an independent heating person to inspect to approve the repair. He said our hot water heater does not have a ""coil"", and there was not crack. He said they didn't charge the system correctly. So then we brought in the plumber you all SHOULD hire, Steve Roberto - http://www.robertoplumbing.com/. He also said the same thing. Not only did he correctly diagnose and fix the heater (a aquathermostat that tells the water heater when to heat up had gotten rusted out from the flood), but he found another major leak they these idiots totally missed under our floor.

To add insult to injury, when they came to repair the burst pipes they do damage to our property (scratched the glass in our front door and our kitchen tiles). Seriously nearly criminal.

Installation work is ok but never without a hitch. They refused to come back to repair improper work without getting paid for the work. They are sharks with added charges and I would definitely say ""buyer beware"" with this company.

I had Heckeroth remodel my bathroom last year. The owner never came out to inspect the finish product despite my complaints of the very poor quality of work. The bathroom started leaking into my kitchen, leaving stains on the ceiling. Finally, 1 year later, the owner, John, came by to inspect. He agreed that the work was done poorly and the bathroom needed to be done over again. I never heard from him again. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. John never responded to the complaint. I have just hired an attorney to take them to court. I use John Kelly now. He's infinitely better!!!!!!

We hired Heckeroth over two other companies to change our heating and hot water systems from oil to natural gas. We couldn't be happier. The foreman John and his men were all top notch professionals and very courteous. We even shared a few laughs. When they were finished, I stood in awe at the craftsmanship of their work. It was amazing to see the oil boiler, hot water heater and oil tank all gone and replaced by one small box on the wall along with well installed copper piping.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, we have been waiting over 3 months for our large rebate. I have contacted both Heckeroth and Central Hudson to no avail. Heckeroth has given me the old ""the check is in the mail"" which was a lie. Other neighbors who used other plumbers received their rebates much quicker. So if I was you, I would stay away from ""Whattheheckerroth"".

As the previous review stated, these people are crooks. I felt like I was dealing with a used care salesman.. They will nail you every chance they get. A call out fee was billed even though they didnt have to do anything. No consideration was given. The tech talked his way into 3+ hours of overtime.. instead of just getting the work done and giving us an outrageous bill, he had the nerve to lolly gag and make money for himself.. This company has poor ethics.. don't waste your time or your money! There are plenty of small businesses who would be grateful to help and will not rip you off or employ scare tactics..

It was a Sunday morning, and it was pouring out. My plumbing system was COMPLETELY backed up. I was desperate. Heckeroth was one of the few who would come on a Sunday. It was $99 just for them to come and look.

The plumber had to remove the toilet bowl to snake it out. He told me it would cost an additional $500-$600. I had no choice . . . I needed flowing water.

He handed me the bill for $619, and said he was giving me a ""break.""

I've since spoken with two other plumbers who told me it shouldn't have been more than $225 tops.

If you want to get ripped off, call Heckeroth. As for me, I never will again.

BEWARE!!! Heckeroth plumbing has very dishonest practices- they are very deceiving with their quotes and then once you sign a flat rate quote you are stuck. They also charge $70 for a quote that takes 30 seconds and it is not applied to your work done. They are crooks and should not be trusted. Do your research and call other plumbers. Do not use them save yourself time and money.

Heating system went out during night - called Heckeroth Plumbing and Heating - they sent someone to us immediately - the technician made some repairs and we were up and running quickly. The price was more than fair. I would recommend them to others.
