Hebert Plumbing was used by my parents. The task was to replace the seal on a commode. A gentleman came with a young man to do the job. The toilet was removed by the young man. He dropped the commode and cracked it. The commode was replaced by Hebert. My parents got a bill for the repair and the cost of a new commode. They agreed to pay for the seal job only, $139. They left several messages for them to call us with no response. Well, Hebert or someone from the company called my dad and cussed him out. My dad is 82 years old. He was MFing my dad and hung up on him. My mom, 80 years old, called them back and they hung up on her. I called and have not heard back. We have every intention to pay for the services rendered. This company is the most unprofessional, ignorant individuals I have ever seen. To speak to my elderly parents in such a way and to take advantage of them is unacceptable. Giving them one star was the only way I could post on this site.

Let me start by saying that Hebert's was recommended to us by neighbors after we realized we had a couple of hot water heater problems at our new house. The first problem was some debris that was in the hot water system. I had them come out and replace the anode rod and flush the tank. I also asked them to install a hot water heater pan under my second unit, since it's in the middle of the house. Both tasks were completed in the same day and I was charged around $350, which what was quoted to me. My only complaint with the quote was that I had to call them again when they just didn't show up for the first appointment.
Once they did come out they got right to work. Unfortunately they had to use my tools for what I would assume would be pretty common plumbing tasks (cutting pipes, draining the heater, etc.). It might have been a father/son team... they were both polite, until the younger told me that ""it's not uncommon for him to receive tips"".
It took them almost two hours to complete both items, which is about what I expected. After they were paid and gone (with my tools on the floor) I ran the hot water and it was worse than before... so I let the water run to see if it got better - it didn't get any better than when I called Herbert's to begin with. I would have thought that they would check it. A day or two later I ran the hot water on the other side of the house and there was none - it was broken.
I finally called another company out to come repair what Hebert's did not fix and/or broke, which cost me a LOT more than what I paid Hebert's. Apparently when they re-connected the hot water heater that needed the pan, they messed the wiring up and it shorted out. The new plumber showed me the melted wire nut.
So if you need a plumber who won't fix anything and breaks your equipment instead, call Hebert's! Just don't forget to tip.
