These people stood me up. They advertised a special tune-up on WFLA. I called and made an appointment with Sara, they never showed up. I took a day off of work for this service. They failed to show without even giving me a phone call. They are a bunch of liars.

I would not recommend this heatwave to anyone who's in need for a new air conditioning system or their services. I received a call in June 2021 for a cheap tune up on my system , which it was giving me a hard time sometimes. So they came and talked to me about replacing my unit . So we agreed on certain price for a new unit. After installing the new unit I had issues with it . I called they came and fixed it. Few days later I had issues again which it was a water leak from the pvc pipe leaking all over my utility room. So I called again, one of the owners came over to check the leak he told me the the installer should have glued the pipes together instead of just push it in. So he wrapped the pipes together and left. Month and ahalf later I was at work and my wife called me and said there is a water leak from the ac unit through out my utility room and going down to my carpet in my garage and the ac is not working. I called for service right away to come and check it out. They told me tomorrow between 3 and 6 p.m someone will be over. Next day I came early expecting to meet with the technician so we can check it out. I waited till 7:30 p.m no one called or showed up. I called again they apologized and pushed me till next day same time. Next day same thing ,no one called or showed up. To much to explain but this is the fifth day after telling me everyday when I call Next day someone will come. I asked to speak to the owner of the company to call me directly so I can let him know how frustrating I am with this bad service may be he cares about the way his company running his business. Still no one called . I was told yesterday someone will come by my house between 3 and 6 p.m. Today is the fifth day of bad promises and let's see what happens today. I am sooooooo upset with this kind of service and treatment with a brand new air conditioning system.

We called Heatwave after having AC problems recently, they came right out and were very professional, explained everything well and figured out what was wrong. We have had other AC companies in the past try and sell us things we didn't need, Heatwave are not that way at all, very honest and dependable company. The head guy Dan really knows his stuff and we wont ever deal with anyone else.

BEWARE of this company. I almost never write reviews, but I felt the need to inform any potential customers of this company's deceitful business practices and poor customer service. One of the technicians in St. Petersburg, Dustin, came to my home and told me my 7 year old air conditioning parts were no longer under warranty and I needed new ones. He also upsold me ongoing cleaning packages at the time indicating the discounts applies because of the packages would reduce the total cost, and I regretfully agreed to the $1,000 in charges. After that work was done, the unit still required additional parts (a motor), which Dustin indicated was also not under warranty, and would cost an additional almost $500. At this point, I was fortunate enough to find a reputable company to look at the a/c unit. This company identified that all parts are actually still under warranty, and charged less than $200 for the motor, as well as fixing the poor work that was previously done by Heatwave. Repeated calls to Laura in their corporate office for the owner, Dan, to return my calls resulted in no communication and poor customer service. STAY AWAY FROM HEATWAVE AT ALL COSTS!!!! I would highly recommend another company, Heaven's Breeze, for trustworthy and respectful service.

Referred to Heat Wave by HomeAdvisor. Discussed my project (kitchen ductwork) with """"Rob"""" from Heat Wave day before appt. Appt set next day between 8am-12pm. Heat wave called at 10am to say they don't do kitchen ductwork. Took day off...very upset. Do not recommend..there are too many other HVAC companies to use.

Avoid at all cost! Poor install of a defective unit ( install may have caused defect ). Reused old copper in dirt and water from leaking unit. Reused low voltage wires that are aged from sun with exposed copper . Leaks cold air . Left a 1 1/2"""" x 18"""" gap for unfiltered air. They left fill valves exposed for whole storming weekend ( over sand and dirt ). Dan Billingsley, the owner has refused to talk with me. I have requested they remove their equipment and refund our money more than 2 dozen times. So far, 5 sleepless nights from the constant Drumming noise, and owner still refuses to talk with me! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

They failed their first inspection and then sent 2 guys out to do something and never got in touch with Pasco County to follow up. And now it's going on 4 years and still no answer from Heatwave. So now we have to pay for our own inspection and pay another AC company to fixed their poor workmanship to get up to code. And they lied about how long it takes to install 3 to 4 days turn into months and now years.

We had water leak in the attic, so Shawn came to give us an estimate on 9/4/19. He told my father and I, that we need all new ductwork and a new unit, for around 10k. He was a very pushy salesman with an attitude, made us feel a bit uncomfortable. He reassured my 92 yr. old elderly father, who's the homeowner, that even if we just get new ductwork, it will definitely stop the leak. We wanted to think about it, but he pressured us that we had to decide right now, in order to get the price he quoted of $5,400. So we agreed to replace the ducts..they were very old anyway. Then he tells us the total is $5,606, cause of tax and yearly maintenance fee. He had said our unit was getting old and was a 2009. I confirmed later with 2 other companies, that it was a 2013 and works fine. Glad we didn't agree to replace it. He told us that we had a freon leak, and was showing us pics he took. We later confirmed with the 2 other companies, that there was not one. He said the new ducts will have a 10-yr warranty. I later find out from his boss Juan, that I was told wrong, it's only a 5-yr warranty..but he still granted me the 10. So everything Shawn told us was wrong. They came to install the next day 9/5/19. To out dissapointment, that same night the leak continued. They then sent an installer back out to try to stop the leak. He made a suggestion of what would stop it, but they wanted to charge us an additional $400 for that. I later declined that idea, wanted to get a 2nd opinion. Why should I have to pay additional money if they had promised the new ductwork would stop the leak? A few days after installation, we suddenly didn't have cold air. At this point I wanted a 2nd opinion. The 2nd company told me that this was due to poor, incomplete installation. On 9/10/19, this 2nd company, for $450, did some repairs so I could at least have some cold air. They found the supply plenum not connected to the air handler..it came apart. Ductwork was not strapped, duct connections were not secured, etc. They told us the job was only partially completed and done poorly and wrong. They even left old ductwork inside lying there. I also found out from the city, that they didn't pull a permit. I was so upset to hear this, so we tried to stop check payment with the bank, but it was too late. I finally got a live employee on the phone that wasn't the answering service. I pleaded to her, please have someone call me! The ductwork is not installed properly. She said I will make sure Courtney gets back to you within the hour. No one returned my calls. They even blocked me on Facebook Messenger when I tried to reach out. On 9/17/19 I had a third company come and tell me their opinion, and they couldn't believe their eyes. Also on this day, Heatwave finally replied and offered to have their head installer come see what's going on next week. I refused to let this fraudulent company come back. I did not trust them. I was told by other companies, that the entire thing has to be ripped out and redone. So on 9/23, the 2nd company took 5 hrs, and 3 men to install things correctly. They documented everything they found and did..and there are pics and videos. I get an email from heatwave on 9/23..( no head manager ever calls me regarding this even after asking repeatadly) they just write: """"Ma'am, we told you multiple times that the job was not complete, and you would not let us complete it. I do not know what else to tell you."""" This is totally FALSE. They NEVER told me the job wasn't completed. After 7 hours, their installers said they were all done. No one has ever told me that they weren't done with installation, or that they were coming back to finish it. I'm reporting them and taking them to court. Lots of evidence here

I hired them to install/replace all my ductwork. They sent out a superstar named Christian. He was amazing ! He even stayed till 7:15 to finish the job. Very courteous and very thorough Highly recommend you request him for an installer! Thanks Heatwave! Darrell

I wrote a review about this company and they replied with a lie. All I asked for was a receipt breakdown and they don't want to give it to me because they know they overcharged. $2,000 to replace a blower motor. They claim they sent out the receipt, but it's not true.
