Ron Pringle and Heating Experts came highly recommended to us from several friends when we first purchased a home in Berkeley. Our home is a duplex and required quite a bit of both plumbing and heating upgrades. Ron did an outstanding job on all aspects of the work which due to the age of our house were at many times challenging due to space and poor access.
Ron is very experienced and able to uncover and repair the most complex issues. If you need it done right I would call Ron. If it's something that no one else can figure out, I would call Ron.

Ron got back to me Friday morning and apologized. He that he was swamped with the cold weather and just had not gotten a chance to call me back. He said that since all his work has a warranty, he would even refund me the cost of his original work! Thanks for fixing the situation Ron!

I found Heating Experts through Yelp reviews and had a great experience.

Ron is personable, professional, and very helpful. He's also kind of up with technology so I was able to e-mail him pictures and questions.

My furnace was not working so I called around to a couple different places. I was a little hesitant to go with Heating Experts because this company had one of the higher minimum trip fees. However, the good reviews made me choose Ron in the end.

Ultimately, it was a good decision. Ron replaced the ceramic piece on the ignition instead of replacing the entire part. This saved quite a bit of money.

Only minor thing was that he showed up a bit later than expected. I'm probably living on the edge of where he normally drives to.

If you are looking for a company that know what they are doing, are very professional, totally reliable, and provide great customer service at very competitive prices, Heating Experts is for you. I recently had them repair a defective control valve in a wall heater and install a new thermostat in a rental unit I own. They showed up when they said they would, quickly identified the problem with the control valve, and provided a very reasonable cost estimate for completing the repair. After I approved the estimate they quickly made the repairs. A few days after the work had been completed, Ron (the company owner) called for follow-up. I've used a number of other heating companies in the past, and I strongly believe that Heating Experts really go the extra mile to provide outstanding service to their customers and I will definitely use them again.

I've been meaning to write this review since December...my husband I wanted to use our heater after Thanksgiving with the first real cold spell and it wouldn't turn on. We bought our house in July and had used the heater a few times to try it out but of course when we needed it the heater wouldn't work. We called Ron the next morning (Saturday) and he talked me through some trouble shooting on the phone and we fixed it! FREE OF CHARGE...I was so happy and relieved and we promptly replaced the intake filter per his recommendation. He was professional, prompt to return our weekend morning call and saved us a service call. I will happily use him in the future and highly recommend him! Thanks Ron.

Heating experts were the only plumber to return my call on Sat. when I noticed my water heater leaking. It took him a while but he made it out to my house to take a look that day even though I told him it wasn't an emergency. He took a look, walked me through my options. I decided to have it replaced. We made an appt. for that Tues. He came out when he said he would be out, replaced the water heater, removed the old one and cleaned up after himself. He even stopped to comment when he noticed we had dry rot around our back door. And he showed me where and how to replace my furnace filter. I definately recommend them.

We had a problem with our old under the floor gas heater. Ron came to our home and promptly fixed the problem. He is extremely knowledgeable and clearly explained what could be causing our problem, what he would do to fix the different possibilities, and how much it would cost. Then he went under the house, and found that he could make the repair by adjusting existing parts rather than needing to replace any of them which saved us money. I enjoyed interacting with him and will definitely call on him for any future heating expansions or repairs.
