Initially, we were known as Williams Air Conditioning & Heating. In September 2013, Heartland Heating & Air was reestablished under Heartland Mechanical Contractors to serve as its residential division.

In the summer of 2020, Mr. Williams discussed the possibility of selling Heartland to JW Huppert, a family friend and skilled plumber. Mr. Huppert, a Murphysboro High School graduate, entered the training program at Plumbers & Pipefitters UA Local #160 shortly after. His career included work in water and sewer main replacement, residential plumbing, and serving as a state plumber for local correctional facilities.

In March 2020, JW and his wife Jaclyn took the initiative to establish a small plumbing business, Huppert Plumbing. Mr. Williams recognized JW's potential to carry on the Heartland legacy. Following their first conversation, the idea of broadening Heartland Heating and Air to incorporate plumbing developed rapidly. Thanks to the experience and resolve of Mr. Williams and Mr. Huppert, Heartland Heating, Air, and Plumbing was officially launched in January 2021.
