Love these guys. I had a problem on Christmas day with my furnace. I like the timely professionalism of the front office for listening to my problems in a timely professional manner and sending out a service tech within the hour. The service tech was very professional in my home. Was very knowledgeable about diagnosing what was wrong with my furnace and fixing the problem. Now I have heat in my house is warm and cozy thanks to the great service and service tech that fixed my furnace. I would recommend these guys to anyone, I've already begun telling my family and friends about them. A great company to have come out and diagnose and fix all of
your Heating and Cooling needs. Thank guys.
Joseph K.Overall I was satisfied with my experience. We had a dead furnace the day after Christmas (Saturday) and tried to find a furnace service company that could come out on short notice. Our usual technician was not going to be available until Monday, which was unacceptable.
The dispatch operator called me back within two minutes of my leaving a message. Within half an hour I was advised that a technician would be in touch with me within the next couple of hours. As it happened the technician called me earlier than anticipated.
The technician was a friendly gentleman, although I wish he could have kept his mask on a little more carefully when he was in our home. To be entirely fair I didn't say anything about it at the time, perhaps I should have.
He took his time diagnosing what was wrong with our furnace, and was not rushed about the affair at all. In the end he determined it was a circuit board failure and called the parts store to make sure they had a replacement available.
When all was said and done we were charged for the service call plus one hour of labor, which was entirely fair.
However I was displeased to find out that we were apparently grossly overcharged for the replacement circuit board unit. I looked up pricing myself and found out that we had been overcharged by at least 30%.
When we asked for a copy of the purchase receipt the technician told that us that none could be provided, which seemed a little deceptive to us.
In the end, the furnace is back up and running and that's obviously what counts the most. However I would likely have reservations about doing business with this company again in the future.
Michelle A.I found this company to be disgusting...I had a plumbing emergency which I stayed home from work to have a plumber come to fix. I called Heaney Plumbing and was told that two plumbers, Jason & Doug were on their way, but they never came; when I called regarding the no show, I was told they were stuck on another job and would come the following day. I again stayed home and again these people never called or came to fix my plumbing problem. I contacted the owner, Bill Heaney to complain that I had lost 2 days pay waiting on his crew that never showed up. Bill apologized and said he would send them on Saturday when I was not working...No surprise...another No Show! I hate companies like this one!
I'm satisfied with the quality of work, Company send out Sal and he was great. Repair a boiler and hot water tank in Hamtramck
Don R.$300 for a frost free water faucet. 40 minutes worth of work, I guess I should become a plumber.
The work and the worker was all good just crazy prices $300@ 40 minutes is $400 bucks and hour! Someone is getting awfully rich.
I have used Heaney Plumbing and Heating for over 20 years. They are very knowledgeable and reliable. As a real estate agent I refer them to all my clients know that is trust
Erica S.Would NEVER recommend them! Was told
Over the phone to snake the drain would be $125-$150. Had 2 plumbers come out and when they opened the main drain in our basement stuff obviously came out and they acted like they had never done plumbing in their lives. It's a main drain, what did you expect? After 5 minutes of them complaining about the smell and having to deal with the drain, they say the job will be $250. Mind you, this was just them taking the cap off the drain. They had to use the faucet outside to rinse off. Said they were leaving to go get new clothes and they'd be right back to actually snake the drain. 2 hours go by and nothing. Not even a call. We call the office and they say oh ""if they said they will be back, they'll be back!"" Umm what!? Again hours go by and we call them again. This time we speak with the owner who said they will be back soon and asked if we cleaned up the basement. Why would I clean the basement now for you to continue making a mess? So I call them back and give the owner a few words. Why didn't you finish the job in your dirty clothes? Why did you leave and go to another job when you were supposed to be doing this job? Why has my main drain pipe been open for hours meaning we cant run water or flush the toilets or it will go all over the basement floor. I cancelled with them because they are useless! Never in my life have a dealt with plumbers who are scared of sewer water. Thats like a mechanic changing his clothes after he got a little oil on him. Smh. Then one of the guys called us back to say i'll be by soon, i'm coming from Detroit which is about 45-1 hr away during rush house. Umm, no. We called another company and they were out within 30 minutes and cheaper.
Great family owned company. Stands behind their work. Workers are very knowledgeable and do very good work.
These guys are great!! I was having trouble with a sump pump drain line. Mario came out to diagnosed the problem. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Taylor came out a few days later and did the hydro-jetting - also very friendly. Don't hesitate to contact these guys for your plumbing needs. Solid performance.
Thanks! Bob R, Sterling Heights
Through my home warranty company, Heaney was given the service call to repair my water heater. They got the call as they opened for the day. The issue was that the water wasn't heated as hot as I should be if hot water wasn't used for a while. I also said that I thought it was a thermostat going bad. They were going to call back to tell me when they'd arrive within 30 mins. Not only did they not call, but when I called them 2 hrs later, they sent the wrong repairman because they wrote my order up as a leaky tank and needed to be replaced with a new water heater. They were then hoping to send the right guy and promised to call back to give me a time. Once again, no call back and I had to call them but they still didn't know if they'd get to me or not. By the end of the day, when I had to call again after not hearing from them, they told me that they cancelled my work order and said that my warranty company would send someone else. I was given no explanation why they decided to cancel the work order but can only assume that the repair was too difficult for them to do.
After wasting an entire day waiting for them and chasing after them by phone they cancelled the order and ensured that the entire experience was horrible.
