THANK YOU MIKE you're the BEST.

Had an outright DISASTER in my bathroom; water overflowed the whole floor and fecal matter even came up through the bathtub.

Mike returned my call promptly, came over, and lent me his hose-vac to suck up the water (I was planning to get down and dirty with my gloves and towels), while he used the snake and sucked out a bunch of muck.

He went through it a few times, helped me unclog the bathtub. Explained what went wrong.

I think he's pretty integrous too! Charges $120/hr, let me know, and had a very clear invoice etc.

I am SO GLAD he came! Now.... on to cleaning the bathroom. *ughhhh*

Mike is everything you want in a plumber. He called back quickly, came to our house on a Saturday and gave a comprehensive, intelligent diagnosis of our problem (leaking drain line). Then he worked fast and stuck to the estimate. He was also organized and neat with his tools, and left no mess behind, even though we're in the middle of a multi-day rainstorm. He will be our first call the next time we need a plumber.

I contacted Mike a few days ago by phone (on a Saturday) about some plumbing issues that we are experiencing (clogged sewer line, leaking toilet). Mike phoned me back within one hour, and even drove to my house to help me diagnose the problems without charging me and gave me some useful tips, and was friendly, respectful, and trustworthy). Next time our sewer line clogs (it seems to happen once every 3 months), I will contact Mike. I also have been given good recommendations about Mike Riley/HeMan plumbing from my neighbors.

Mike solved the kitchen draing problem like a pro. Wasted no time at all; one gets the feeling he has seen it all and knows every possible complication that could be causing problems, and what to do about it. I'm new to the area, and learned that at the first sign of trouble, call the town first (if you're on a sewer), as they'll come immediately for free and confirm it's not a problem in their part of the line from house to street. It wasn't. Then I called another plumber who wasn't really a specialist in this area. He only had a 20 foot snake to send down the sink pipe, and it didn't solve the problem. That guy didn't charge me anything, very kind and honest, but told me to call a drain specialist. So I found Mike on Yelp, and he climbed right up on the roof, went in through the vent, and cleared the problem. Then he told me some useful things my particular pipes, that will help me keep them clog-free, and some ideas if I wanted to make changes to the pipes in the future. He was just the right person for the job. I agree with all that the other reviewers said. And incidentally, on his business card, he indicates after his name ""PhD, Engineering, Stanford University.""

I chose Mike Riley because of the reviews here on Yelp and I wasn't disappointed. Mike is professional, courteous and knows his stuff. He explained the options to solve our clogged toilet problem and took care of the problem in a swift, professional manner. He cleaned up his debris and left our place clean and in good working order. I would definitely use Mike again and highly recommend him. He did an excellent job.
