Hazel plumbing was supposed to replace our main water line that had a leak. The first red flag was when he outsourced machinery to dig the trench. He stopped the man halfway throughsaid he was costing too much money and he was going to finish digging by hand. Secondly he did not bury the line deep enough to be below the freeze line. Probably couldn't hand dig down far enough. Thirdly he pulled the pipe up out of the ground near the house a good 2 feet and ran the pipe through my brick exterior into the house through my molding above the floor. Because of this substandard work when the temperatures dropped our pipes froze. Two elderly people without water for 5 days during Christmas. Not able to cook, shower, brush your teeth, flush the toilet, wash clothes all because of the incompetence of Hazel Plumbing. The plumber was sent to us by Home Serve a home insurace company to cover items the homeowners insurance doesn't cover. They have been nasty to us and have a one year guarentee on all their repairs They are trying to force us to use the same incompetent plumbers.

Very happy with service. I've read the reviews before decided and it's amazing how petty people are considering the worker shortage from the pandemic.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! JOE PULLED A NO-SHOW!!
I don't normally leave reviews, especially negative reviews, because I don't like to negatively impact anyone's business and livelihood. However, this time, I am going to make a necessary exception.
I own a rental property in Waldorf, MD, which requires plumbing work due to damages caused by the previous tenant. I discovered Hazel Plumbing on the internet after doing an extensive Google search for plumbers in Waldorf, MD. On Thursday, March 10, 2022, I visited Hazel Plumbing's very professional looking website and used Hazel Plumbing's quote function to leave my contact information and details of my plumbing request. I was soon contacted via text message by a Hazel Plumbing plumber named Joe. I provided Joe with the details of my plumbing issue and requested an on-site visit from Hazel Plumbing to provide a quote and hopefully perform the work. Joe suggested we meet at my property on Saturday at 9 am. I agreed and provided him the property address along with a few pictures of the plumbing issue. Joe confirmed our scheduled appointment for Saturday.
On Saturday morning (March 12, 2022), I made the hour-long drive to my property in Waldorf, MD in inclement weather (rain and snow). I hadn't heard from Joe since Thursday, so I assumed our appointment was still scheduled. Just before 9:00, I texted Joe to let him know I was almost at the property. A few minutes later, Joe provided the following response via text: ""I apologize, I wanted to ask if we can reschedule for 5pm this evening. I'm currently in Loudon County."" Joe did not offer any additional apology or explanation, nor did he offer to correct this issue or compensate me for my wasted time. He showed complete disregard for wasting my time.
Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed and irritated by Joe's lack of professionalism and consideration of my time. Not only did Joe not give me any advance notice of his need to reschedule, he never followed up with me afterwards with an attempt to rectify this issue. I understand that things happen sometimes, life gets in the way, etc. but this is crazy. I am also sure that if I hadn't texted Joe, he would've broken our appointment without contacting me and I would've been left sitting outside of my property waiting in vain for him to show up. As I stated above, I live about an hour away from my rental property and I made this trip in the rain and snow early on an Saturday morning. Not only was this a huge waste of my time, but I wasted my gas, which is now very expensive.
Judging by Hazel Plumbing's website and the text conversation I had with Joe, I was confident I had found a professional company with which I could do business. Obviously I was wrong. I do not understand how someone can conduct business in this manner. I definitely DO NOT recommend Hazel Plumbing and I will not be contacting them in the future.
GET IT TOGETHER, JOE AND HAZEL PLUMBING. YOU SHOULDN'T TREAT CUSTOMERS THIS WAY!

Long story short: my shower was leaking. Initial estimate $400. He stood me up for the first appointment, but after some pestering I eventually got him to come out on a later date. Actual cost to fix the leak was $1000. The fix worked, but he put the faucet back on funny, and a month later it stopped working completely. Now I'm $1000 poorer, and don't have a working shower ... worse off than when I started. I should have just let it leak!

We had three toilets installed (two standard toilets and one toilet/bidet combo) that we needed installed. We called a couple of plumbers in the area and went with Hazel Plumbing. He arrived earlier than expected and installed all three toilets without any issues. We had such a great experience the first time we called them back to fix our overflow drain in another bathroom. He showed up earlier than expected again and fixed the problem.

Hazel Plumbing is great! They are reasonably priced and provide an honest assessment of what it takes to get the work done. We would definitely hire them again!

Joseph was a real find, younger guy - knowledgeable, efficient, diligent and very nice. I liked him immediately, and he did good work. I needed two hose bibs replaced and he did a good job of explaining the way the drywall hole would be left and what to do about it. He was tidy, communicative, and on time. Definitely will hire back,

Serviced 6 toilets in my house. Price was reasonable for the amount of time they were here. They left a little bit of a mess in each bathroom but overall we're satisfied. I'd probably call them again if I was in a bind.

I urgently needed my water heater replaced so I sent out a mass request for quotes across Yelp. Joe from Hazel Plumbing reached to me with the best quote and was available the very next day to replace the water heater. Joe was very responsive via texts throughout the day and very knowledgeable and professional during the replacement. He also offered tips and advice on how to prevent future damage to other plumbing related issues in my house. I highly recommend Joe and Hazel Plumbing and will be sure to call him again for future plumbing/gas needs.
