February 2018....I called several AC companies in the valley for a quote on a new AC unit. My unit was 16 years old and on it's last leg. One company took up over an hour of my time just for a quote. I don't mind small chit-chat but I don't need to know personal info about the technician nor do you need to know mine; total turn-off! These companies were thousands of dollars apart in comparison pricing; and yes I was comparing the same brands and sizes.
My last call was to Hays Cooling & Heating. Bill S. came out and he was prompt, professional and was able to provide me a quote quickly. The price and warranty of the unit was very fair compared to the others and the finance plan was what sealed the deal. The install was quick, clean and everything went great. Customer service followed up with me and Hays also covers routine care of the unit for a couple of years-no charge. I would recommend Hays Cooling :)

Called Hays today because my AC drain pan was leaking into my laundry room. Scheduled it in the morning for the afternoon and they came well within the window of time. The technician that arrived was knowledgeable, friendly, and let me know what he was doing as he was doing it. Would recommend this company to everyone! Refreshing to find a place you can trust

Hays was quick to set an appointment for my yearly AC check up and was great with communication. The tech was running a little behind the morning of my appointment but Hays was very proactive in contacting and updating me. To clarify, I was not bothered by the tech running behind--I have no doubt they are swamped with AC needs in the AZ heat! My tech, Sam, arrived and was super friendly then got right to work. He did a very thorough job, explained everything to me clearly and didn't pressure me at all. They honored the online coupon/discount and Sam told me about the yearly preventative maintenance plan they have but did not try to pressure or up sell me at all. I will for sure be contacting Hays in the future for my AC needs.

My AC died on Father's Day. I called Hays and they were quick to respond.

They called 30 minutes before they arrived so I wasn't sitting around waiting.

The tech was knowledgeable and courteous. He showed me why the unit stopped and then quoted me a price. When he told me he didn't have the part on his truck I assumed it be another day without AC. Nope, the part was delivered to my home in less than 30 minutes.

There seem to be some pretty scathing reviews on this company but my experience was excellent. Brandon explained the condition of my system and said there were a couple of parts that should be replaced in the next couple of years. No pressure to sell me more parts or service. He spend quite a bit of time with me on the phone. This guy seems like someone you can really trust to give you good advice. Not wanting a breakdown in the middle of a heat wave, I opted to replace the parts now. Brandon was great! I did not have any scheduling problems and will be using this company again.

We had our A/C unit get an annual service. Brandon got the unit working better than it has in years, and identified a likely upcoming failure and told us how to prevent an even bigger failure (blower motor about to fail; could caused compressor to fail). Also explained the shortcomings of our whole system and to how to improve it. I learned more from his one visit than years of visits from other companies. Very knowledgeable, backed up anything he said with evidence, and super friendly. Highly recommend.

I am very happy with the quality of service I received from this company.
I had a $6000 HVAC installed on my roof a couple of months ago. They showed up on time, were respectful, installed the unit in a timely manner, and had a very competitive price, (I got six bids for the job). After the initial installation, a quality control person came out and inspected the installers work. Then, six weeks or so later they came back to do a another maintenance on the unit. Nice job Hays!

Frank from Hays came when I was looking for a second opinion. ACE tech had come out the day before and said our AC unit compressor was bad and tried selling us a 11,000 buck system.

Frank did a thorough inspection and found that the previous tech had left the blower on our HVAC system disconnected. That caused the AC unit to overheat and shut off, to which the ACR tech claimed meant a bad compressor. Frank pointed out that these units have a fail safe that kicks off when over heating. The overheating was caused by the previous tech not reconnecting the blower.

Honest service from Frank and we will call Hays again and again.

3/9/2018 UPDATE

We continue to be impressed with the service Frank provides. He came today for our yearly AC checkup. Same great service and professionalism.

To top it off, the owner Chris Hays stopped by to introduce himself and thank us for using their service.
