Michael was very thorough and professional in his inspection. He explained the issues found whether it was a minor or a major concern. He did not over exceed the boundaries that were necessary but zeroed in on what should be looked at. I felt very comfortable with his assessment, he was respectful to us and believe he did an honest inspection that covered the applicable issues for us the buyer. I would rate Hawkeye Company an A++ and Mike as there employee the same. After dealing with other inspection companies I would not hesitate to highly recommend Hawkeye to anyone who would need this type of service.

Hawkeye is a team of wonderful inspectors. Dan has done 3 inspections for my family and each time we felt incredibly happy we chose them. They are not rushed and are happy to go the extra mile in explaining what is going on with the houses. They always go above and beyond...and it seems it's because they truly love doing inspections. STAY AWAY! They come off as very friendly and accommodating, but the inspection is very superficial and lazy. There were several major issues that were not discovered due to the poor inspection. We found that our deck is structurally faulty thus our plans for home expanion now ruined. When we reached out to them about issues that we discovered they said they they will take care of it even sent a contractor out to see what the problems were. We later got a letter from their insurance company's lawyer basically refusing to take any responsibility for the negligent inspection.
There is a woman working at this company, her name is Susan. She doesn't know how to stay professional and calm when I asked her to read my phone number back in order to get contacted later. She then began screaming and calling me obnoxious! She disrespected me beyond anything I have experienced in the past. There is no excuse for the way she treats people. She hung up on me. Pieter didn't help the situation and also said that ""it is hard to visualize your wife having a calm conversation based on the threat that she is now going to contact BBB , Facebook and other sites (sounds like a form of blackmail)""- his words that he sent us without even speaking to my wife.
Last I checked, telling someone that I will post a review about my experience is not blackmail, it's a form of freedom of speech!

Very bad experience. They promised me to write a report at the end of the consultation, which they refuse to do. They delivered just an oral review for $210. Stay away from them.

Great Service! It's our 2nd time making the home inspection with them. Michael was very attentive, honest, thorough, knowledgeable, and answered all the questions I had about the house.
The report we got from him is 70 pages, very informative, with pictures and recommended solutions.
I would recommend Hawkeye Companies Home Inspection Service to anybody who's in the process of buying a home.

I am a Managing Broker of a large real estate brokerage in the Sacramento area. I ordered a home inspection with Hawkeye then notified them that we need to cancel and reschedule. They contact my buyer directly, fool them into collecting a payment. The next day they go to the seller's house and essentially talk their way into the house despite the seller's concern and do a home inspection in less than 30 minutes (they typically take more than an hour) and then when I complain they send me a report with ONE INTERIOR PHOTO of the kitchen sink. They didn't even access the attic space. I asked for a refund for my buyer and they denied it saying they got paid and I sent them a copy of the communication cancelling the inspection and then they ghost me and don't respond any longer. As a 10 year Realtor and one the top agents in the Sacramento area, I would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR INSPECTIONS. THEY LACK PROFESSIONALISM AND WON""T EVEN RESPOND WHEN FACED WITH A DIFFICULT SITUATION.

Hawkeye was excellent. They offered a Sunday inspection since our timing was tight, and Mark was awesome! Funny guy and very thorough. And a fair price. We had a great experience.

Wow - I cannot recommend Hawkeye enough. Wish there was a button for 6 stars!
We were recommended Hawkeye by our realtor, and the process was quick and smooth. It was a Wednesday, we called for an appointment, and we were able to get Saturday. We got there a few minutes early, and our inspector, Patrick, was already on-top of things. He was inspecting the outside. It was about 90 degrees outside and he had pants and a collared shirt in professional wear, and did not complain once. As first time homebuyers, Patrick walked us through every little detail and even recommended fixes for us. He is such a nice guy.
Moving inside, Patrick offered us food and cold drinks, what a nice touch. I recommend getting the additional mold and radon tests - they are very detailed and reassuring. A house is a huge investment! We ended up getting hundreds of pages of inspection reports, advice and documentation to keep our house maintained, and a dummy guide that helps someone like me simply understand things.
This is truly where Hawkeye shines - the attention to detail, customer service, and accountability. Because the house was newly renovated, the mold test was overloaded. I must've spoken with their customer service representative about 10 times that day because I didn't have my stuff together and was stuck in meetings throughout the day. Peter, the owner of Hawkeye, was very friendly and offered us a free 2nd mold test to make up for something that wasn't his fault.
I truly want to thank Hawkeye, and will be recommending them to all my friends when they purchase a home!
