I was referred to Hawkes by another local, Ryan's Appliance. I was very happy to get a referral by word of mouth, it's the best way to go. I have called Hawkes Plumbing four times. FOUR. I have gotten no further than the polite receptionst. The first time I called I was told they were working on a project and would not be available for several weeks. I waited about a month and called again. Nothing. I called again the following week because we'd had some trouble with our landline one day the week before and there was a chance we missed the call. Still nothing. The last time I called the receptionist noted it was the fourth time and this time I left my cell. Nothing. I realize these are crazy times but at a minimum, SOMEONE could have called back and said they're not taking new clients, they're backlogged but we'll get back to you... your job is too small for us.... SOMETHING. Very disappointed. If I could give no stars I would.

I would like to revise my previous negative review on Hawkes Plumbing. The owner called and apologized for dropping the ball. Although it was one of his workers that had been given our job, the owner took full responsibility and agreed that this should never have happened . I feel that good communication could have prevented the whole problem. It was not an emergency situation, but when someone says they will do something and they are unable to , a phone call is required to keep the customer in the loop. I would try them again in the future as I believe the owner wants satisfied customers and was willing to admit that it shouldn't have occurred

First and foremost, this company comes through with fast service. We needed a plumber for two different projects. Each of the service technicians/plumbers were polite, pleasant, and knowledgeable, explaining what they were doing, why, and what the result should be. In a very diplomatic and balanced fashion, the owner spoke to me in a very clear and concise manner highlighting what could have gone wrong and why. He was so extraordinarily thorough and kind.

Hawkes installed a hybrid electric water heater that qualified for the National Grid rebate. They selected an excellent, very efficient model made in the USA. They knew the price up front, I paid at the beginning of the job, and they went all out to get the job done and ensure that all the plumbing around the water heater was in good condition. They weren't looking to cut corners or nickel and dime. They were friendly and respectful.
